Power Suit > Gravity Suit > Varia Suit > Metroid Suit
The "Metroid Suit" is a meme, but I will admit I like the look of it. I like the look of all the suits in Dread. Maybe it was because it was the first we saw, but I really grew on the Power Suit in this game. The Blue/White contrasting the Red chest and visor just fricking worked for me. The Purple this time felt like a real upgrade to it, moving it up several hues in the color spectrum, but the Orange of the Varia suit felt lacking in comparison. I get it's iconic, but it just didn't mesh well with the majority White the suit was composed of this time.
Still, all great. I loved that the trim of the suit changed each time.
I used to as well, but the visual storytelling of "the suit reconnecting itself" turned me around on it a bit. Power suit is meant to seem disconnected and sparse, Varia much closer, and then by Gravity it's all connected. That picture shows it off surprisingly well for being one of the first off google. It's still a bit silly looking for sure, but I appreciate the story the suit is telling independent from the gameplay side.
