Colours are extremely high profile and part of the few, there must be far more Grade 1s and they can get up to all sorts of nonsense with less scrutiny.

Just make sure to get a modern translation (e.g. Grossman) so that the comedy isn't buried by archaic language. A part of what makes Don Quixote so good is the contrast between Alonso Quejana's old, archaic language and everyone else speaking in a modern way. If you get an old translation this nuance is lost since everyone will speak the same way.
The poetry and symbolism of Moby Dick is mired in Melville's chapters-long Wikipedia dumps as he tries to justify his endless similes and metaphors.

Older translations might have more beautiful language, but they might not necessarily be accurate ("It is a pretty poem, Mr. Pope; but you must not call it Homer").

The only solution is to fundamentally change the dynamic so that the relationship is not doomed for each side to think they're ruining their partners life.

They handled the story here pretty well, but I'm worried that PM might go too much into multiverse slop instead of the current world. I don't think there's ever been a story that survived after going all in on multiverse trite.
I think it was a necessary step for the mirror part of the overarching story. All chapters have a different focus aside from the characters. But what i'm looking forward to the most is the "stars" part, it sounds way more interesting.

Yes, the episodic nature naturally means that pacing is completely fricked and that the chapter quality is uneven.
Do check out the previous two non-gacha games (Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina). They earned anons' love even before the gacha was revealed, so it's not the case of gachaBlack folk overrating the story, but genuine love for a niche indie series. Kind of like Nier Reincarnation, as you said.
