I don't hate it, I think it's a very dignified attempt to actually succeed the classic fallout legacy, but for some reason I always fall off the game around the same time you get past the confrontation with Benny.
I think the engine ultimately holds it back.
My favorite one will always be Fo2.
Yes, it's frankly the only one I care about. CRPG ones are too old and annoying to play, Bethesda ones are boring and shit in many ways.

1 because atmosphere/tone. Fallout is a series with shitty gameplay and the writing is all right to shit. It's strength is it's interactivity and atmosphere. Usually the interactivity is high level across the Fallouts I care about (1, 2, and New Vegas sorry Tacticsgays ), but 2/New Vegas went too cartoony for my taste.
Yes, but 3 is my 2nd favorite followed by 4. I prefer the exploration in 3 to New Vegas, but the exploration in Vegas is still better than 4. 4's exploration felt dull to me for some reason, not sure why.
I played 3 sometime after NV was released. I 100% everything in the third one, including the challenges, quests and achievements. I took a month break in order to not burn myself out and picked NV
The game bored me, to say the least. I stopped around the 15 hour mark because I felt nothing through it. All I could think of while playing was, 'This is just like 3, but without the cool locations and weird quests'

Well, I would add that I like atmosphere and other elements of 1 and even some of 2, but I'm just not gonna bother playing them.

If the strip was a bit more impressive, and if the Benny plot didn't wrap up so fast, it would be one of my favorite games period.
