>It's one of those rich hobbies people have to awe peasants
it doesnt have to be. yea there are people who fall for the higher number better autism but you can build an affordable rig that will kick ass at games (in 1080p) and as long as you're not a consoomer you wont want to upgrade for no reason. but yes most people with pcs are consoomers or at least wish they were
>rich hobbies
Even the most absurdly kitted out gaming PCs right now are less than 3000 dollars. An extremely competent rig can be had for 1500 dollars. If you buy one and it lasts 5 years, that's 300 dollars per year.
A hobby car is an order of magnitude more expensive. It's not even in the same zip code.
yea, i haven't bought a game in about a decade. pc cost me <400 second hand. granted most of what i play is old stuff so piracy really is my only option. if i was a console gamer i would have wayy less games (no quake 3, no boomer fighting games online, no modded doom wads etc.) and also be out way more on online passes, games, DLC etc.
Building your own computer is quite an experience.
I'm a brownie from the third world, so Amazon delivery is expensive, so I went to the dedicated stores in my city. After college classes after my part-time salary I bought the components for my machine.
Before and during my purchases I learned about components and software, got the best prices and met nice people, I still talk to them about hardware as an autistic and I bought a used GTX 1660 Ti from one of them.
The best thing was when my brother discovered that I was buying computer components and asked me to build one just like it for him. When I only needed to buy a R5 5500, my brother gave me the money to buy one for myself and left me the money to buy the remaining parts for him.
After buying and assembling both computers, we each prepared our things and after a while we played Dota, the same game we played with our shitty laptops, I miss when we lived together.
Building your computer with your own hands, watching it turn on and seeing the name of your components in the system is satisfying.
Yes, it is "comfy"
kemobro, what logitech mouse is that? Looks like the MX master I've been using but with a few more buttons (which is what I'm looking for when I decide to upgrade)
G502X. It's pretty good IMO. I do miss the metal scroll wheel from older models, but it's at least nice to not see it start to tarnish from an attosecond of exposure to human skin.
Honestly I just love the hand design of these models. Made the jump to their business class stuff a few years ago and haven't looked back, just can't be beat as far as comfort is concerned. Bookmarking it so I don't forget, thanks
This is an honest question: Why do PC gamers get so mad when someone says they prefer playing on console? Because clearly this isn't some Xbox console warrior situation where a bunch of people clearly have some sort of inferiority complex; PC gaming is doing well right now. Why do you guys care if someone prefers another platform?
Asking questions with presuppositions like this just makes you look stupid and disingenuous.
I could ask you why console players have an inferiority complex towards PC players.
cause console players have shit standards and are consoles hold games back both intellectually and technologically
your aim assist literally plays games for you
>consoles hold games back both intellectually and technologically
it's largely the same games you're playing and at this point in the current gaming gen, the only real difference in visual quality has to do with how good your TV/monitor is. What does that have to do with gaming hardware? >your aim assist literally plays games for you
even the people who don't play shooters?
no moron, building games around consoles is what led to massive casualisation of games
look at deus ex vs invisible war or morrowind vs oblivion
now designing games like shit is the norm
I can play any PC game as well as any console game worth playing at higher resolutions and with hacks to increase CPU clock speed or disc loading speeds. I grew up playing mostly consoles but there's really no point in them anymore.
No
That's the answer you wanted, right?
Everything is comfy if your depression is all consuming enough, even death.

yes. you can get a decent rig for the same price as a console and play whatever you want for free if you pirate it.
>for free if you pirate it.
would you recommend that route?
yea, i haven't bought a game in about a decade. pc cost me <400 second hand. granted most of what i play is old stuff so piracy really is my only option. if i was a console gamer i would have wayy less games (no quake 3, no boomer fighting games online, no modded doom wads etc.) and also be out way more on online passes, games, DLC etc.

Keyboard and mouse is associated with work, so it is automatically not comfy.

>update nvidia driver
>saints row 3 is broken now

Yes. Ricershit like that which doesn't actually get used for gaming isn't comfy though.

no consoles are way more cozy
Not when you keep your rig on the desk like a filthy animal.
