It's not as bad as people make it out to be, but its not very good. It does scratch that exploration itch of exploration that Fallout and Skyrim offer but the late game kind of sucks. They have many different systems like a skill tree and base building which are poorly designed. And the writing is God awful, like if a troony wrote the dialogue.
Exploration is travelling to one of several copy pasted dungeons on a planet that has already been explored and shooting people hoping to get a good random drop from the boss.
There in nothing interesting to find anywhere. Everything Bethesda used to do they decided to skip this go around.
No.
Bethesda put all their chips in on procedurally generated content, and it backfired spectacularly.
Some of the quests are interesting and the game has a unique gimmick in replayability, but repeating the game with said gimmick is only cool the first time and begins to feel more like a chore with each reset. Especially because it completely resets everything you've worked on outside of your character itself.
At one point they wanted the player to have to build outposts to travel to the furthest reaches.
They also made it so they would have to rebuild this network 10 times to get all the dragon born powers to max power.
Fans of tedium would rejoice but that would have made Starfield the most hated game ever made.
Starfield was fun, and the skybox from the surface of planets is genuinely very cool
I think people are mostly upset it’s not a game that would have been literally impossible to make, though there’s certainly things they can improve with updates
Its a menu game. If you enjoy scrolling through your quest list and pressing the auto travel button and then watching a loading bar progress youll love it!
random dungeons are all the same 5 copy pasted shit is the biggest problem
the big sidequests were great
ship combat is mostly just who has the better stats
skill prog system is pretty annoying
i hate how you are level skills so the game is less inconvenient instead of getting skills that make the game more fun
No to all those things. It's somehow a step back from Fallout 4. Just mod 4 into a sci-fi game and you'll have a better time.
No
the only things you can "play", are soft-shit lib politics, and the only thing you can "explore" are troony's buttholes
>only thing you can "explore" are troony's buttholes
You say that like it's a bad thing
the quests mostly suck but the mindless content is a lot better than in skyrim because the moment to moment gameplay is massively superior
Yes
Mostly
Not really
If you want Fallout in space then it's good
It's a solid 8/10 game

Can you stop shilling this shit game? It's dead, let it rest in peace
The environmental effects are comfy, but I'm just a space weeb looking for space engine with more gameplay mechanics.
I really enjoyed the world building they did for the cities though they're fun to walk through
The cities were the worst part. Huge lifeless backdrops that added nothing to the game. I hope they go back to proper cities for TES 6.
yeah, they really went quantity over quality. Way too many generic NPCs
Nah, they have great design and they're small, but dense with content.
I hated them they all just felt like diamond city over and over again. Except worse, because they didn't feel like a real place at all
Diamond City had the merchant that thought baseball was badically armed combat.
Name one npc in a city in Starfield that you remember and explain why.
I hope they go back to proper cities going forward
people who hate starfield but love skyrim are deranged NPCs
Cities filled with Morrowind tier souless NPCs was a huge step back to me.

I hate how it spits you out of your ship when you revisit a poi
Creation kit will fix it
Imagine Skyrim in space without all the random points of interest along the way. Just the duergar dungeons.
Except instead of the story based ones that have some unique layout they're a copy paste of two different maps, repeatedly.
Well, to be fair sometimes you get hailed in space and asked by a geologist for rocks or something for variety.
It's hard to understate how they fricked up this badly.
Also you have no choice but to fast travel to get from city to city.
Its a menu game. If you enjoy scrolling through your quest list and pressing the auto travel button and then watching a loading bar progress youll love it!

No! Well, maybe for a few hours, before the repetition becomes obvious.
What do you think?
thats sad
i will buy this in a few years when its not... this
I will say, if you liked Arena and maybe Daggerfall, you'll like this game
>Is starfield fun to play a
