This is pretty much the only reason they made Tinkaton a "natural enemy" of Corviknight, yes. It's stupid because they don't explain why Kitakami uses Noctowl for its flying taxi services, and Blueberry will no doubt have its own flying taxi "mascot", so the service is evidently commonplace all around the Pokemon world now.

They try to hunt corviknight and are successful enough at that to kill what would be a pretty profitable industry but that does not mean they actually win those fights lot of real life animals have nasty tempers boars in particular are notorious for charging much bigger animals and tink has a nasty grudge against steel types in general

But then shouldn’t it be something like Fairy/Fighting? That still wouldn’t help against Corviknight, but making it part-Fire or -Electric doesn’t really make sense, so that’s kind of a lost cause.
You know what would be funny? Imagine they give Tinkaton a Paradox form. Make it Fairy/Fire, and give it a laser hammer instead of an iron one to justify the Fire type. It becomes a special attacker with access to Burn Up; basically make it an actual in-game Corviknight-killer…
But then its dex entries state how it was actually created to kill Heatran, and how it was rumored to have crafted the hammer from dead Heatran babies. Just give the whole line a constant theme of trying to kill shit it literally has zero ability to kill in-game. A sort of in-game joke, like how they gave Durant Truant solely because it’s a “true ant”.
