Have you tried doing the opposite?
This
you literally posted the solution to your own problem. Also, not video games.

This scene changed my life. I embraced hopelessnes
I wish I could say the same
He was the happiest when he did the opposite of what his instinct told him.
george is so relatable bros
Uh oh, I hope this isn't what I based my entire personality on.
That would be embarrassing.
reject the system, play video games.
you dont reject the system with that, sadly
why ask homosexual? i ain't your dad
Does life have even a tiny ember of joy left? Will anyone be materially damaged by your death (not "mommy will be sad", more along the lines of leaving orphans to fend for themselves)? If you answered yes to both, then it might be a viable option. Think on it for a few days before you decide, and pick a method that will do the trick the first time. No one wants to be half-moronic with a big chunk of their skull blown out
If you answered no to both*
Black person you are posting on Ganker at 2am you don't even know what hard work is
The true redpill is realizing that in capitalist society, hard work does not actually matter that much. No one believes labor intrinsically is a valuable thing. Just because you worked hard on something, doesn't inherently make it valuable from a market perspective. The only thing capitalism cares about is if you are able to produce something people want and are willing to pay for. SOMETIMES that involves hard work but many times it doesn't. Sometimes, needing to work hard is also more inefficient when you can simply not work hard and produce something of the same value. Yet ironically, the capitalists try to complain about how "lazy" the poor are when the society they have constructed inherently does not care about hard work or labor If it did, then the socialists are right, the capitalists are just glorified scam artists who exploit the hard work of other people and make profit off them simply because they happened to have more money.
I like where your head's at, frogman.
>No one believes labor intrinsically is a valuable thing
Because it isn't. Stopped reading.
Cool it with the antisemitic remarks
So what's the issue? Just work less and make money. Don't have to be a socialist.
When people say "hard work makes you successful," they expect you to have the wherewithal to know that by "hard work," thy mean work that is appropriately directed towards self improvement, not "go smash cinder blocks together in the junkyard until you have enough pieces to build a 1000ft tall pile, then move that pile 1 mile to the left and you'll get a bajillion dollars."
you jest but they do not, I've met factory floor machine operator working that kind of position for over ten years, the supply chain runs on that kind of people
people take pride in their suffering, it does not matter if it accomplishes nothing, working 12 hours for 2000 pesos fulfills their need for merit
it is pure suffering olympics
>oh you are tired? well I worked more than you! I work more days than you!
>my childhood was shittier than yours!
t. mexican
>working 12 hours for 2000 pesos
That's considered really good for my shithole if converted to my money
t. russian monke
it's a weekly wage, if that changes anything
if it doesn't, my thoughts and prayers
Ok, weekly sounds way shittier. That changes things, but not by much. Ity is actually the same in here then.
Though the conditions might actually reach even lower point in here, especially on some industrial districts where it becomes literal slavery while small business owners can also shove you into such inhuman Black person labor conditions that Amazon and the entire american globohomosexual can eat their heart out.
So? Self improvement is the same shit. There is never a guarantee that the time you spend working on a skill will actually lead to anything. You say this shit when there are people who just stream video games and make millions of dollars.
I'd have to be a moron to work hard at my 6 figure software engineer job. Here's some news for you: digging a ditch with a spoon instead of a shovel is much more intensive and hard labor, but it's a lot less valuable. Just think on that for bit until you realize how fricking stupid your post is.
Yeah and there are online social media influencers that make 6 figures for watching youtube videos
The reason why you made a lot of money wasn't because you "worked hard" it's because you are able to provide something that people want and are willing to pay for. So in other words, you just proved his point.
My point was that not only is hard work a meme, it doesn't and shouldn't have intrinsic value, which he seemed to be whining about.
Literally got offered my current job on the last semester of my Computer Science course. Just get a CompSci degree, it's life on easy mode and don't worry about getting replaced by indians, they don't get hired for positions that actually pay well.
I'm so glad I was always interested in programming
Good thing I'm taking college for this already
No, it's that capitalists are inherently dishonest
>YA CAN'T BE POOR AND RECEIVE HANDOUTS YER SUPPOSED TO WORK HARD!
>Oh that celebrity makes six figures for doing a 30 second advertisement? Well um actually value is subjective you don't have to work hard because labor isn't inherently valuable teehee 🙂
Boomers either live their lives with these contradicting thoughts in their head and lack the basic critical thinking to see how fundamentally flawed this is or they are just dishonest.
who are you quoting
>got a degree in comp information systems
>was worried it wasn't gonna be worth shit for a little while while I was job hunting
>ended up getting an entry position in a NOC
>5 years later and I work quiet night shifts from home, have 3 day weekends, and spend a good 80% of my work week just playing video games
What did you need to learn before you became a software engineer? I start my first real job next Monday doing dogshit tech support for $42k a year and want to make 6 figures as quickly as possible. Any specifc coding languages to learn? Certifications?
BS in Computer science and take an internship while in school. 90% of SE jobs will immediately filter you out if you don't have a BS.
Frick. I already graduated and got a useless “digital media” degree like a moron. Was legitimately considering going back like a month ago to get a computer science degree.
If you're under 25 years in age, I'd recommend it depending on how many credit transfers you could get. If you had to do a full 4 years that would be rough, but if you could shave off a year or two that's a go back 100% situation.
Currently 24. The most annoying thing initially with college was getting the general ed credits done but since I’ve already done them I don’t think I would need to do them over again? Not entirely sure what the situation is with graduating then going back for another degree, but it’s definitely something I’m going to look into now. Only sucks now that I would need to somehow balance a full time job with college, fortunately the job is fully remote.
Depends on the college. Many have rules about overlapping credits and won't let you just double dip all your classes. Plus they might be finicky about accepting credit from another university or have some slightly different requirements purely so they can make you take the same class again except it's totally different cause it's "their" version.
I’d likely just go back to my previous university since it’s not too far out of the way from where I’m currently at. If I did do go into the comp sci programs I know I would definitely need to take some of the more advanced math courses since I only ever went up to college algebra but nothing higher. If I would need to do all my general ed credits again then it wouldn’t be too big of a deal but would just suck having to waste another 2 years doing useless shit. I’ll check tomorrow to see if that’s the case
>Just think on that for bit until you realize how fricking stupid your post is.
But you're agreeing with him? His point is that there exists a group of people who claim hard work is intrinsically valuable thus you are lazy for not being successful.
Success is a gene
I don't know why you're replying to me if you're just going to keep agreeing that hard work doesn't matter
Then that means we have no free will, which means shitting on the poor for being lazy is unjustified because it's all genetics and they have no accountability for their actions
You figured it out anon no one's at blame for anything. It is what it is and it was always going to be that way.
>be born into family with good habits
>have good habits
>pass good habits onto your children
how is this hard to understand?
basement dweller larping homosexual
And to anyone who denies this, there are people who work very hard who make very little, and then there are celebrities who make millions for doing 30 second advertisements. There are people who make money solely for holding onto stock or purchasing financial assets, while there are other people who spend years learning and developing a skill only to never make significant profit from it.
Capitalism does not see hard work as an inherently valuable thing, It never did. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to you.
cap being shit doesn't make soc not shit. don't fall for the false dichotomy.
Frick your defeatist attitude. The real truth here is that israelites are ultimately the source of all the bad things that is happening around the world and the faster we get rid of them the better
That's just a cope. It's very easy to blame all of your problems on some mysterious shadow cabal that magically controls everything
None of you conspiracy-theory morons ever give a single reason for your israeliteS BAD bullshit. Shut the frick up. You're not privy to some secret information like you think. You're just stupid. Stupid people buy into conspiracies.
Life is too short and people are too short-sighted and stupid to execute major conspiracies that would span generations or ever remain secret, anyway. It just doesn't happen. And it sure as frick wouldn't be one entire race of people behind it if it had.
That's redpill number 1. Redpill number 2 is realizing that we probably don't have free will.
Our personalities, which will determine all of our actions and choices, are a result of some combination of our genetics and environment. Neither of which we have any control over. We don't get to control how we're born, we don't get to control who raises us or where we're born or even the people we're surrounded with for the most part during our most formative years
So that means the difference between us, and the people we hate or pity, is ultimately just a roll of the dice. They got unlucky, and were born with either the wrong genes, or were raised by the wrong people at the wrong place at the wrong time. A criminal is a criminal because they were raised wrong. Simultaneously, the people we adore or worship were all just born lucky, or raised at the right place, at the right time, by the right people.
The problem with this, though, is that the kind of people who believe in this don't tend to live successful lives. So now we have to choose between living a lie, or believing in a truth that objectively makes our lives worse.
Believing in free will or not is pointless as is the pursuit of proving it
one of my favorite images
hard work is a meme. take more hours, more responsibilities, to get nowhere, and be replaced instantly. no more for me.
That's why I like video games. No matter how bad life gets, you still have your good memories of being a kid and playing your favorite games.
What if they find a way to take that away or ran$om it?
they who
Nintendo
It's about the process not the outcome, and a good process will produce a good outcome. Enjoy the process and it's not hard at all
Suicide is never an option anon. Please don't do it and never give up.
Cute asian Miyeon is for black wieners! Miyeon best girl!
You do have a reason for getting up each morning right Gankerros?
cup o' coffee
there are still many things in life I enjoy so that keeps me kicking. If my health starts to go I might call it quits though
Who needs hard work when you can just work the system? You don't even have to work a job if you're smart about it. Go ask some black folks for tips they'll show you the way.
does household mean people literally living in the same home, or does it mean people you have responsibility over? I.E. are roommates part of your household if they don't support you?
Household generally means wife, children, and other dependents like elderly family members.
thanks, anon.
Damn, I should sign up for food stamps. I've always been lazy about it, but I spend less than half of that a month on food and make about twice that monthly, so my general budget would double.
Thanks for the heads up as well, anon.
Post this with a frog and no one bats an eye. Post this as picrel, and /misc/ loses their fricking mind
For
I wonder why people bother living in actual hopeless shitholes like South America, North Korea, any russkie Black folk, ukranians, africans, chinks, all the other subhumans. Why do they keep struggling with their shitty lives and not kill themselves outright? I know russkie Black folk have the biggest suicide rate in the world, but why the country wouldn't collapse entirely from even more murder and suicide? Why do they keep living? Do they enjoy being tortured for eternity?
Humans are hardwired to survive. For most people, suicide is never even on the table, nowadays maybe a sordid joke, but never a true option. Barely even conceivable. To be truly hopeless enough to be able to have a nice day, you are either mentally ill or are unironically "breaking the conditioning" built into your body. It'd be respectable if there were anybody left to respect afterwards.
If you are mentally ill enough to want to do it, why not do it?
Fear, mainly.
I have been in a truly hopeless situation before and suicide doesn't even occur to you for a long time. You just accept that this is how it's going to be in order to survive, because survival is all that matters when the chips are down. Anyone who doesn't agree and thinks killing yourself is a normal solution in that situation is simply severely depressed.
suicide is a permanent solution to temporary problems
Suicide is killing every bird in the sky with a single stone.
based, frick pigeons
frick you pigeons are cute and smart
If you're happy bulldozing your house becauseyou are struggling to clean the kitchen then be my guest
A house can be condemned, just like your metaphor.
yeah and that temporary problem is being alive
What about terminal illness?
hey say I got brains, but they ain't doin' me no good
I wish they could
Each time things start to happen again
I think I got somethin' good goin' for myself
But what goes wrong?
Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel very sad
>suicide analogies
How come there is no Seinfeld videogame?
Nah that's gay, just give up and make the rest of your life society's problem to deal with.
How old are you?
What were you hoping to have achieved by this point?
How many avenues to success are cut off?
abolish the work religion
