The first (blind?) playthrough of Sun/Moon is one of the best experiences Pokemon has to offer. The second and beyond is one of the worst. Go for it, I guess.
no they fricking weren't they were so fricking boring i went right back to alpha sapphire when i was done i even played SWSH twice
>one of the best experiences Pokemon has to offer
i too love unskippable cutscenes you fricking Black person!
>skipping cutscenes
>on a first playthrough
>of an RPG
oh, so this is why /vp/ hates gen 7
Pokemon's story is shit though. I do not care about Lillie or her fricked up family life. Let me go do my trials already.
I wish for the day when someone will make a shitty twitchbait indie rpg that will brick your system if you skip too many cut scenes
/vp/ shits itself in rage over the slightest mention of unova but creams itself over babysitting the worst pokegirl on a guided tour of a soulless region, should have known this homosexual board had irredeemable taste
>verification not required
>the worst pokegirl on a guided tour of a soulless region
The frick you on about? Look at OP's pic. It's pure soul. And Lillie is great.
Lillie is one-dimensional wonderbread trash and Alola has all the presence of a fake North Korean grocery store. All window dressing, with no substance.
Actual arguments.
Why is Lillie bad?
Why is Alola bad?
You're right, I've already given actual arguments, moronic lilliegay. I suppose as far as hebe trash goes you'd prefer a e-girl that can't fend for herself in any way.
You literally just said
>one-dimensional wonderbread trash
without giving any arguments, dumbass. You can't even say why she's bad.
>give an actual argument!
>n-not like that
I accept your concession, lillie Black person.
>yeah she's trash
Nice argument.
Again, you can't even say why she's bad. You're behaving like an actual child who can't present and justify their opinion.
>All window dressing, with no substance.
We're not talking about Kalos.
More than gens 5 8 and 9 at least
nope its the worst in the series
The first hour and a half is on frickin rails but after that it's alright
The story is good, but it's *all* story until you get to the postgame. Compared to other titles, it is extremely handholding, railroaded, with many cutscenes.
It's a comfy once-through if you have the patience for it.
nice colors
cute girls
great music
id go with moon because the night times are easy on the eyes and the night music is pretty relaxing to
Get UltraSun/UltraMoon instead. They have more features and more Pokemon.
I heard USUM fricks up the story and people recommend playing SM.
I'd go with the Moon anyway, nights and the moon are cooler to me.
the story frickups arent as bad as its made out to be
USUM story assumes you already played the SM story and shakes it up.
Playing USUM first would probably be a bit jarring, like if you watched spider man no way home as your first spider man film.
I'll play SM. Moon.
I heard that gen's story shined the most, and although USUM has a few more pokemons and some side content here and there, it butchered the most important thing about SM. So instead of taking cheap whistles and bells, I wish to experience the whole heart and soul of that gen.
I played USUM without having played SM and genuinely loved it. Couldn't understand any of the hate the game was getting.
My natural playstyle involves compulsively searching for treasure and also catching a lot of pokemon, so this was never an issue for me. I caught all four of the special legendaries in gen IX before I finished any of the three stories.
>Couldn't understand any of the hate the game was getting
To put it in perspective, this game was the first "third version" since BW2.
BW2 were the first enhanced versions to feature two titles instead of just one and, to warrant being two versions, they made them sequels.
At the time, there wasn't a single person who didn't think USUM were going to be sequels. That revelation started the hate. Then when (I think it was Masuda) stated that the game would have "ultra changes," revealed a new map with large sections covered by clouds, showed a brand new city in promotional art; all of those things being essentially bullshit made people despise the games. Felt like they got duped by playing SM.
Nebby you homosexual gtfo of /vp/ and get back in the bag.
Wheew-WHEEEEEW
no they are the worst games in the series
You'll have fun but please, I'm begging you, play a challenge run or something. Too many people go into Alola just following along the story without thinking and then blame the game when they never go off the path to explore. Doing something like a Nuzlocke forces you to go searching for more encounters and will let you appreciate the map more while also reducing time spent hopping directly from cutscene to cutscene.
I don't like nuzlocke because I want to play with my favs, not random rats and bugs, but I can play with permadeath if that helps.
The permanent was less relevant than it being an excuse to hunt encounters. Basically I just meant you should find a way to make sure you explore. For a lot of people a challenge run does that, but you may be able to without one.
Relax anon, you can turn off exp share
Gen 7 has the best atmosphere for a region, they really loved it and wanted to showcase it as much as they can. The community style "home" feel it has really works.
No
Its very comfy. The music always relaxes me. May not be the best but its a soft kind of nice.
Legitimately the worst video game I've ever played through to completion.
Shitty rich girl soap opera
8 hours of cutscenes
Constant railroading
No post game
USUM has a lot of content during the postgame and main game
Not really.
The story is decent at best, and the game has the most interruptions in the series. Sometimes you can't go more than 10 steps without a cutscene.
Most people here have already said enough so I'll just say that it has more text than your regular Pokémon game, making it a bit closer to traditional RPGs storytelling-wise. If you don't mind that, go for it. I like it.
so is the SM story fun or unfun?
You will absolutely want to blow your brains out for the first two hours
Are the cutscenes that bad?
Not really, but /vp/ has a giant, throbbing hateboner for gen 7.
>Is Sun/Moon worth playing?
yes
>I heard its story is cool.
the best story pokemon will ever have
