If Terastralize was a thing back then Aaron would definitely make him Bug
Unovaborts in a nutshell
>He's STILL going.
Irrationally mad indeed.
Psychic/Flying
I like to think the Sabrina/Koga overlap was on purpose, Koga's gym has a bunch of psychic trainers
There's no way for it to be on accident though. Either they fricked up several trainers, or they fricked up a bunch of dialogue and a Gym Leader etc. No way that would happen.
I mean they fricked up the Marsh Badge so
A claim with no evidence behind it, but even if it was true, that's much, much easier to frick up.
no evidence? You don't think that soul relates more to psychics, and marsh more to poisons
What do marshes have to do with psychic types?
What the frick even is psychic about it?
something something mothra
Butterfree is always the first psychic pokemon I get in red/blue
I never understood this complaint, especially when i saw a few morons saying "she should've used butterfree, it has psychic attacks"
like b***h have you SEEN venomoth's moveset? literally has fricking psybeam. meanwhile a butterfree at that level would have
All of them had that except Lucian in base DP
Aaron had Drapion, Bertha had a Sudowoodo, and of course, we know about Flint
Lucian had Girafarig.
Who was normal/psychic already
Farigirag didn't make it normal/psychic
You think that's funny?
In BDSP, his 3rd rematch adds a fricking Flygon
Actually soul.
Not as based as Karen in GSC though. Autists go insane over her team being based on literally Pokemon that are dark in color, instead of the actual Dark type.
We need gym leaders and E4 to be themed around things other than type. It's both more challenging and more interesting.
Flint's DP team was peak soul though
>Fire E4 member
>Drifblim (hot air balloon)
>Steelix (hot temperatures clearly melt steel beams)
>Lopunny
>her team being based on literally Pokemon that are dark in color
who the hell said this bullshit? Karen has a witch theme.
Well we did get Raihan, so there is hope
Reminder that this monotype mentality started with the transition to 3D.
so gen 4?
>it's this autist again
Being objective and using facts instead of mindlessly blaming "muh 3D" makes you an autist
Literally no ones is referring to gen 4 or 5 when they mention the 3D games, and neither are they implying the literal use of 3D models is directly responsible for design changes, only that they are correlated.
Yes you are an actual autist.
>Literally no ones is referring to gen 4 or 5 when they mention the 3D games
I do
>design changes
you mean design changes that platinum made?
>I do
Are you the only non-autistic person, or could it be that you are the autist?
??? the 3D games double downed on it though.
Remake of an existing game though.
Rematch that didn't exist in the existing game though.
Rematch that was built on top of a fight that did exist though, that wasn't mono to begin with.
>Rematch that was built on top of a fight that did exist though
? where does aaron use flygon in DPPt?
He didn't. But you take the original fight, which is not monotype, so why would you, in adding Flygon, feel the need to stick to monotype?
Bertha and Flint's rematches fixes their teams though
What actually happens is the teams go DP > Platinum > New team
The "fix" is giving them their Platinum teams, which removes Pokemon that "shouldn't" be there. Drapion is not one of them.
I know
The point was that they still kept the idea, by giving him a Flygon on top of him already having a Drapion, as a brand new team, in a modern remake.
Because they had no reason to stick to monotype on a team that was already not monotype.
If they cared about monotype why would they make his team less monotype?
They didn't care with Aaron, because his (Platinum) team was not monotype.
Then why did they make Volkner not monotype when his Platinum team is?
His Platinum team is not in BDSP.
The E4 do.
>His Platinum team is not in BDSP.
They could've put his Platinum team in BDSP instead of not making it monotype. Why didn't they do it then?
They didn't have a rematch for him.
Yes they did.
Drapion was his ace in DP too. Aaron has never had a monotype team.
That's entirely irrelevant to the point being made.
The reason the second, BDSP exclusive team for him is not monotype is because the first rematch team, based on Platinum, is not monotype.
Meanwhile, if you look at Bertha and Flint, they had non-monotype in DP, then it was changed in Platinum to be monotype, and therefore the second rematch, building off of the Platinum one, is also monotype.
>They fricking know that Flygon should've been Bug Type
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
The original concept was a reptile-like creature that had a lifecycle similar to a antlion, but they had to change it to the Bug breeding group since Dexcut limited the amount of species to work as transition for egg moves.
Nah, Dragon/Ground is obviously a better typing, Bug would hold it back.
This but unironically
>IT LOOKS LIKE A LE BUG SO THE BUG TRAINER CAN USE IT XDDDDDDDDDDDDD
kys
>Aaron should abandon his ace (and the Pokémon he's had the longest and therefore has a special friendship with) because it evolved
kys
>Evolves from a Bug type
Drapion should've been Bug/Dark
man, this one schizo is really going off huh
It might be my fault.
He got really mad over some shitposting and started spamming.
This might be the least egregious DP Sinnoh Elite 4 member problem. In fact, it's only a problem because for some reason it isn't a bug type anymore despite evolving from one. Drapion always confused me that way, what's the point? It's not like Surskit into Masquerain where there's a very logical reason for the type change, both biologically and in design.
It becomes so evil that it ascends (descends?) from a mere insect to a demon.
Drapion becomes extremely aggressive, to the point where the Bug part of it doesn't matter, it's a stomping hazard and the tips of its claws still ooze poison
Drapion atleast looks like a bug.
How Lopunny and Steelix fit a "fire" type trainer i don't get.
DP had only Infernape and Rapidash, so if they didn't add Pokemon of other types then it would basically be Glacia, but even worse.
Locking most of the new evolutions to post-game was a fricking mistake.
Such a shame that the company in charge of designing the E4, Game Freak, has no way to ask the company in charge of the regional dex, Game Freak, to include more fire types.
In all seriousness, I can believe GF was that dysfunctional even back then.
Gamefreak is crypto-Aqua.
It evolves from a bug pokemon
I like how Flint's ancestor in Pokemon Legends Arceus, Zisu, has her own original team but then gets Flints DP team.
Her Fight has Ambipom, Honchrow, H-Zoroark, and Luxray
but then in the Path of Tenacity, her team changes to Flints DP team, so it's basically, Infernape, Rapidash, Lopunny, Steelix, and Drifblim
>Replaces Zoroark and honchcrow for 2 shitmons
DP Flint is where Gamefreak's teambuilding peaked, it makes sense that they reference it as much as possible.
Since she doesn't use Claydol, or anything from Buck in general, does that mean Flint and Buck are not blood related brothers?
They don't really need to have similar pokemon to prove anything.
Cylene for example only ever shows her Abra and that's not even close to a Pokemon Cyrus uses.
Buck specializes in Pokemon with High Defense and/or Special Defence, so I like to think Flint has a Steelix for that reason.
