I remember reading a leak that said the levels are based around Sonic's memories and that one of them is a destroyed Station Square manipulated by the new ghost girl antagonist. Maybe this is it. Would be kino to have Station Square music remixed for this game.
>More news about this shit game comes out >3 hours later >Only fricking 130 posts
This game is completely DOA. There was so much shilling weeks ago in an attemp to defend this dogshit game and now it can't even muster any discussion. TOPKEKE, and now that we have Forces level design AGAIN it's confirmed this game is going to be 06 2 Electric boogaloo and, if the Gods actually gave a shit, finally kill off this homosexual ass fricker's game media for good, and just stick to the fricking tv/movie media from now fricking on.
>if the Gods actually gave a shit, finally kill off this homosexual ass fricker's game media for good
You mean kill off Sonic Team. Mania's quality (and to a similar extent, the impact of Iizuka's "ideas" for Team Sonic Racing) already proved that they're the problem, not Sonic videogames in general.
Anon you know as much as I do that Nippon will never let Gayjin take over the game media to save their hides, hence why I say just nuke it all and hope the fan games don't get CnD afterwards because they know like everyone else knows the fan games are the only good Sonic game content and has been for the past 20 years.
>Anon you know as much as I do that Nippon will never let Gayjin take over the game media to save their hides
And you know Sonic games will never cease to exist, since the needlessly loyal and autistic fanbase that Sega has built up over the years will always end up footing the bill when it comes to the further production of shitty Sonic games. There is no escape.
Hell the screensaver would probably be way more fun to play on. Procedurally generated highways in the sky to run around sounds like it'd be better than any garbage Sonic Team tries to pass of as level design.
Thinking about it more, it's a fricking perfect special stage gimmick. >Lost World's tube gravity shenanigans >you have x amount of time to reach the emerald at the center >there's a barrier protecting it that requires rings to dispel >have to jump between pipes as they generate, dodging bombs and bumpers and shit while you gather rings >you can look in the background while you're moving to scout out pipes that generated with more rings or better pathing and find ways to get there
Well, the main issue with the boost formula is that it's too short to complete, it takes a lot of time to make assets for stages where you'll not even notice it properly because you're going past it so fast, it takes too much resources to make something long with only the boost formula, which is why they all had some sort of padding to make up for it ever since it was introduced in 2008:
Unleashed >>> Werehog
Colors >>> 2D Sections
Generations >>> Classic Sonic
Forces >>> Classic Sonic + OC
Here it's the same, but the padding is done through an open world to make it less obvious, I think it's probably the best compromise they could make, so I'll give it a chance, we'll see how it is.
I'm with you on this one, I feel that the formula that best translated 2D Sonic into 3D was Sonic Adventure, it wasn't perfect, but it was more faithful to the originals than anything that came after it. Still, after Sonic Forces pretty much exposed all of the issues the boost formula had, and why it might not be sustainable, it felt like they were going to scrap it altogether, I see this as their last attempt at making it work, if the open world can't salvage it, then not much else can. We can only hope it's good when it comes out, if not, then drastic changes might come.
Why is this aways a complaint? It makes sense from a design standpoint? >Start the new game from a familiar place with familiar mechanics and them evolve from it
Remember all those people screaming that the leaked footage wasn't from Sky Sanctuary? kek
Why do the levels have to be familiar though, instead of just simple and easy to grasp? Nobody loses their minds when the first level in every Mario game doesn't reference 1-1. Even if you want them to be familiar you can still at least put in the bare minimum effort of changing the aesthetic a LITTLE bit, like Emerald Hill Zone did.
>familiar place with familiar mechanics and them evolve from it
That's not what they're doing. They're just nostalgia-baiting, nothing more. It was already bad enough when Sonic 2 and CD did it. Then from Sonic 3 to Colors, they actually came up with distinct settings for opening levels. Then every game since Sonic 4 has been some variation of Green Hill. People have a right to be sick of cheap marketing tactics, vidrel
you think the boost pedal is the problem he's trying to show off, not the arbitrary speed cap on running that suddenly slows him as soon as he's past the loop-de-loop?
Anonymous
He wasn't pointing out that, the point was how fast sonic instantly decelerates and doesn't even have enough speed to get past the ramp.
>you think the boost pedal is the problem he's trying to show off
No. I thought it was being forced through the loop when you hit a certain point like with the ramps in S4. I'll go back to sucking wieners.
>Needing a fricking dashpad infront of a loop
How is this making anon look bad again? homie that literally makes it WORST that SEGA are fricking homosexual hacks.
This was absolutely the worst.
Back when this level was previewed, people were genuinely saying "look guys momentum!! they've finally fixed the sonic series!!! better than generations" when in reality they just coded it to send you flying if you rolled down the slope.
I'd rather take the splines of the 3D games than a completely fake sense of fluid movement.
Generations had underwhelming physics, but it had a super strong spindash and actual level design to prop it up. Forces' classic stages have nothing going for them
I still don't get why they still can replicate SA physics. Yes it had shoddy things and used auto paths too, but still took momentum in account meaning you could jump slopes or climb walls fine.
They have proper physic for everything in the game except sonic, it's deliberate

Doing that weird ass on rail with no momentum shit they're doing is actually harder to do even if it's shit.

Havok physics is not the momentum of classic Sonic people are talking about moron. Sonic's gameplay cannot be recreated with a generic ass physics simulator engine, it has to be hand crafted from scratch because of the nuances that removes it from being actually "realistic". It's meant to act like a ball during spindashing moments, but shit like sticking to walls and ceilings as long as you're going fast enough and jumping off angled terrain based on your speed is not something a generic physics havok engine will recreate.
Anonymous
They got the sticking to wall part nailed down already, they just kill off any speed he has whenever they feel like it
2 years ago
Anonymous
Not that anon, but in Lost World they implemented proper physics for the pinball minigame and Sonic even retained momentum when moving about in those DKC-esqque rail grinding stages.
Sonic's general movement just feels like shit because they like him controlling that way for whatever reason. Probably because Kishimoto's only experience in game development outside Sonic is designing pachinko games
Only properly got into Sonic games a few days ago and have been playing the classics for the first time. Was going to play some of these newer ones but nevermind lol. Ill just play mania last and be done with the series. How did they frick it up this bad?
>Looks at Sonic 1 (because SEGA doesn't give a shit to look at the other Sonic games) >Notices the shitty speedcap in Sonic 1 that was long since remove after 1 >Reuses it for Forces >Wasn't even in Gens, likely because that classic was barely using any classic Sonic game as reference and just using whatever the frick they thought was good enough, which is why when you roll down hill you SLOW DOWN design sliding with modern Sonic actually gains momentum
What a shitty company. Couldn't even genuinely look at Mania, go, you know what, we should hire that man, all because frick piggu gayjin.
>Couldn't even genuinely look at Mania, go, you know what, we should hire that man
I mean they did, hence why Headcannon worked on Origins, but Sonic Team and Sega still managed to frick that up, as usual.
I meant hire Taxman to make the classic parts of Forces, or, at this point, make him head of Sonic Team and put those homosexual japs in their place to get them to shit out a sensibly sound and polish 3D Sonic game. But, of course, muh nippon pride n shiet.

>I meant hire Taxman to make the classic parts of Forces
He was a little busy working on Mania, anon. But they'd never hire Taxman for that anyway, simply because they literally don't "get" why Mania was a success. As far as Kishimoto was concerned, he wasn't surprised that people liked Mania because from his perspective "people like 2D Sonic" which is why they were comfortable with classic Sonic's execution in Forces.
And you can still tell they don't understand why people liked Mania since Frontiers looks like it plays exactly like Forces anyway. From their perspective hiring people like Taxman for the mainline games just isn't necessary.

>He was a little busy working on Mania, anon.
Ok? My point is simple: You have a example of good 2D Sonic, fricking use it. I don't give a shit whos busy or not, you're literally working along side these frickers, all I ask is more shit like Mania and not whatever Forces/Gens fricking did ok?
Anonymous
>You have a example of good 2D Sonic, fricking use it.
You're missing the point that Sonic Team are unable to recognize "good 2D Sonic", hence why their solution to fans wanting proper momentum physics is to just fill the level design with scripts that force Sonic to behave "appropriately". They don't get the appeal of classic Sonic gameplay either way, which is what results in their surface-level executions. But in the end the games still sell, so Sega/Sonic Team isn't convinced that anything is wrong on a fundamental level aside from intentional experiments like Lost World.

>You're missing the point that Sonic Team are unable to recognize "good 2D Sonic"
I'm not. I KNOW they don't fricking know what they are fricking doing, that's the entire discussion in a nutshell.
I'm calling them out for their moronation and spiteful pride.

You're mistaking pride for general ignorance. The reason they don't involve Taxman isn't because of pride, but because they already have a full team of native devs and don't consider it necessary.
You forgot SEGA all stars tennis, 3D blast which was essentially green hill zone, both sonic all stars racing games, sonic advance 3, sonic jump, and sonic runners and sonic runners adventure, sonic 4 too.
Imagine if they did >OH MY FRICKING GOD WHISPY WOODS???? AGAIN????? >NO NO NO NO STOP USING THE FRICKING STAR DOORS AHHADHGRSHIOAerkjhdrfgjhkl >IS THAT A.... A GREEN GREENS RIFF???? I'M GOING FRICKING INSAAAAAAANE
Nintendo franchise fans have lower standards. It's not surprising at all.
>n-no we don't!!
Kirby games have gotten worse with each entry ever since Return to Dreamland, Robobot being the one exception where quality actually went up instead of down, yet no one cares or complains. You'll just keep eating up garbage.
Forgotten Land revitalized my interest in Kirby
i had this fear that Kirby was going to go the way of NSMB for it's traditional games, but now it's branching off to be 3D World but not boring
Everyone regards Forgotten Land as good it's because it fricking is. Sonic hasn't been good since it's transition to 3D and that includes the overrated piece of shit that are the Adventure games.
For many years now, every time whispy woods shows up he's significantly altered and remixed in an interesting new way, unlike green hill which either shows up basically unaltered, or is changed in an utterly boring, shit fashion like "sand hill".
Because green greens has been a general staple of Kirby since the beginning and Sonic has only been obsessed with shoving Green Hill into every game for the last decade.
Hence why people criticize the reuse of Green Hill specifically and not the usage of general "green" stages, which in the past usually held some differences from GH either in its presentation or gameplay. Springs and shuttle loops are more like Sonic's equivalent to green greens.
>B-but Nintendo fans accept rehashing and creative bankruptcy, so you should too!
What kind of fricked-up logic is this? Sega fans, unlike Nintendo plebians, are mature adults with refined taste. Our standards are simply higher. Nintendo fans gag down Natty Lite, Sega fans are sommeliers who are used to tasting only the finest wines.
Green Hill Zone for the millionth time is... simply unsatisfying for anyone other than children who are easily impressed by bright colors and flashing lights. We expect better, we DESERVE better.
Going to play Devil's Advocate here >Drift
Makes sense, it's a completely different genre so familiar teritory is nice >Blast
Looks nothing like Green Hill, only called that to fit the rest of the "Colour and Location" naming themes >Adventure 2
Secret bonus level in an anniversary game, completely warranted >Battle
Again, think this was a bonus, correct me if I'm wrong >Chronicles
Different genre and looks nothing like Green Hill >Smash Bros.
It's probably one of the most iconic levels ever, it deserves to be in Smash as much as Sonic himself >Generations
Imagine the shitstorm if Green Hill WASN'T in Generations >Dash
Pretty sure that's Seaside Hill, unless I'm missing something >Mania
This was lame, but more Mania being 2/3rds recycled stages in general than just Green Hill >Forces
Pretty dumb, no real reason to include it here, they didn't do anything interesting aside from sand, if they actually made it look post apocolyptic I'd be fine with it >Team Sonic Racing
Different genre >Frontiers
This is worrying me though. Either they don't know (or care) about Green Hill fatigue or they're so fricked they need to reuse assets anyway
Tl:dr, wasn't really an issue till Mania/Forces

>>"GREEN HILL ZOOOOOOOOOONE!"
While it can be said they only did this for 10 years, it's been only 4 games that uses it outside of two retro games intentionally being retro by nature, of which, Lost World's ""Green Hill"" might as well be just Neo Green Hill from SA3, of which, was one of the best Green Hills that isn't literally Green Hill, or literally literally not Green Hill ala Seaside Hill
The point is, Wispy Woods has been reused as is far more times than Green Hill, in far more games, in a far longer amount of time. To put it this way, had it been City Escape/Emerald Coast that was rehashed, I highly severely doubt most of you gays would seethe as viciously over it by comparison.
Apart from the creatively bankrupt NSMB series, where are the complaints?
it's always okay when Nintendo does it. have a nice day, b***h.

the difference is mario platforming compared to sonic with every new titles is objectively better. Odyssey has better momentum mechanics than any of the 3D Sonic games in the past decade. What are you coping for? It's okay to admit Sonic Team is a shell of their former selves, they aren't paying you to defend them.
I don't care about Sega or Sonic, I was attacking Sonicgays's specifically

I think the real problem is that Sonic hasn't accrued enough goodwill (i.e. good games) to get away with it. If you don't have confidence that the rest of the game will be creative, well-made or worthwhile, having the first level be a recurring theme for the 100th time just becomes a reminder of stagnation instead of a familiar pleasure.
Nobody cares when Mario and Kirby games do it because those franchises aren't creative wastelands
>Mario and Kirby have decent track records and baseline quality >3D Sonic does not >Mario/Kirby repeats itself = implies that baseline quality will continue >3D Sonic repeats itself = a reminder of several mediocre-to-bad games
This isn't mental gymnastics, this is walking from point A to point B.

Calm down homosexual. I am not defending the hacks at SEGA, I'm calling out what is clearly biased behavior from the fanbase, nothing more
Also, regardless how much better Mario "is", I still don't give a shit considering not even Mario gays like Odyssey compared ot 64. I preferred Sunshine's design the most, but it's like a stereotypical 3D Sonic game in terms of jankiness that I can't believe a Mario game would ever be like so it's why I ended up falling in love with AHiT so much more, as it's basically polished Sunshine with customization/mods
If I had to play any Sonic game, it's either Robo Blast 2 or Spark 3 whenever that comes out. Anything else just doesn't matter to me interest wise.
Ironic, since unlike SA1/2, the tone of Sunshine doesn't feel like a different IP all together like Odyessy did with it's SA1 humans and Monster Hunter Dark Souls dragons and dinos
Also ironic since I didn't even play Sunshine until 15 years after its release, so it's not nostalgia since I played Galaxy first, loved that, but then realize Sunshine is a better design for the 3D experience I'd like, which would mean 64 but, again with AHiT, something actually polished for once.

Like hell they don't. New Super Mario Bros. gets shat on specifically because all of them look identical with zero differences.

if the story is true
out of 23 mainline games green hill reappears 5 times and 2 of those times were in warranted nostalgia wank games and 2 of them were anniversaries.
And these appearances are mostly DECADES apart
Why did you even bother posting anon, anyone that isn't a 2000s Black person literally never hated GHZ until it was clear Adventure era was banned and classic Sonic was being focused on again. That's literally it. No one seethed with AdventureBlack folk got theirs
At this point, I'm really hoping that fake leak isn't actually fake and the entire canon is going to be retconned into oblivion. I swear, all I need as a final sendoff from this shithole IP is the death of the fanbase, then I'd feel at peace once and for all.

Might just be the first human in 20 years to not look like absolute generic anime trash or god forbid, FF10 ripoffs.
I hope any more hoomans in this shit series finally become useful pieces of shit and has designs as fitting as the Balan Blunderworld ones.
I did. And I actually didn't mind them too much in that game design wise, but many people are weebs and hated it for being too pixar. Somewhere in the middle would then by my ideal point, which is why I mention the Balan humans as it was done by Sonic's actual creator, Naoto Ohshima
>but many people are weebs and hated it for being too pixar.
Disliking Unleashed's npcs for being too pixar-looking doesn't make you a weeb. Having generic anime npcs presents the same problem.
Sonic and Eggman aren't designed like background pixar characters or generic anime characters. Their visual designs are more "rubberhose" in nature and any existing npcs should be designed with that same mentality.
They should just bring back Oshima as an artist. His character designs were the one part of Balan that people actually liked.
His human designs were on par with the ones in Unleashed tbh.
Anonymous
His designs were better than the Unleashed ones, for Sonic at least. The Unleashed npcs, while inoffensive, still held a generic pixar look, which is where the complaints come from.
It's like the artist behind said npcs designed western-styled humans due to Sonic himself being western-inspired, but used "western" as more of a blanket approach instead of acknowledging that there exists different aesthetic styles in the region's approach to character design.
I need an inverted version of the ace attoney comic. >Sonic: Ah, Japan. I for one am glad to live in a country with such rich culture as ours. *looks out at walmart* >Tails: Something seems... off >Sonic: Nonsense, now joins for a traditional japanese thanks giving dinner >Tails: ... >Sonic: (eating a hamburguer) Eat your sushi, Tails
Reminder that Dark Soulsgays think they've got it as bad as Sonicgays when it comes to revisiting areas. Dark Souls morons will never know the pain of revisiting a location for 11 years.

It's not what fans want, it's what they THINK fans want. If said fan hasn't played a single Sonic game in the last 25 years. They're hoping some lost demographic will come back when they see it, but they hope for that with EVERY SINGLE GAME
i wish they reused star light from time to time if they want a fast zone from sonic 1. it was pretty fast and had even more loops than green hill zone, and can be very comfy. but i guess i shouldn't expect anything from sonic team
Sonic is just his nickname. Maurice is actually his real name, just like Dr. Robotnik is referred as "Eggman" at onces. Archie comics canonically confirmed this.
You were told, in several instances, that Frontiers' cyberspace stages would be reusing assets and had plenty of time to come to terms with it and yet you still had a meltdown anyway when you actually saw it.
How is it I, an autistic Sonic apologist, am conducting myself better than someone who claims to see right through Sonic Team's bullshit?
At this point I've moved past you charlatan fricks. There's nothing you can do until I've played it for myself to ruin Sonic Frontiers. Continue screeching, it's lost all merit.
>At this point I've moved past you charlatan fricks.
No you haven't. You're still in this thread interacting with said "fricks", defending your position as an apologist.
I actually read nothing at all upon coming in here, just made my first post assuming people were melting down. Glad to know you shits are so predictable.
>I actually read nothing at all upon coming in here
Why post here at all? Aside from interacting with people you are apparently "over".
You're an idiot.
If there's no shitty tacked on Classic Sonic, stages that last longer than 3 minutes (on a blind playthrough which Forces sucked with) and good tracks I won't mind. I'm not gonna buy another 7/10 Sonic game, but I might like it.
we will have to see, so far open ended maps have fricking nothing.
>stages that last longer than 3 minutes (on a blind playthrough which Forces sucked with)
The boost stages have already been described as "bite-sized". The main meat comes from replaying them to complete certain objectives (e.g. beat the given time, collect all red rings, etc.) That's how you're supposed to get "keys" to unlock the chaos emeralds.
>The main meat comes from replaying them to complete certain objectives
Anon after every discussion about Origins, it's painfully clear zoomer Sonicgays do NOT replay content. This game is going to flop if the 60 hours of content really is just bloat.
Yes, that's why Forces flopped, not because of Shitty Green Hill, teasing past bosses and barely using most of them, [NOT] Casinoplois even though they brought back Green Hills and the shitty Classic Sonic sections.
>Anon after every discussion about Origins, it's painfully clear zoomer Sonicgays do NOT replay content.
You misunderstand. "Replay each stage to complete certain objectives" is literally how the cyberspace stages have been described by people who have already played Frontiers. Stuff like collecting red rings and time trials isn't being offered as optional bonus content, they're mandatory missions that need to be completed in order to gain keys to progress further into the game, as collecting chaos emeralds is apparently the main goal of each area, and you need to collect a set amount of keys to unlock a given emerald.
Forces was the worst offender in comparison with Color, Generations and even Unleashed in those regards. The other issues was lack of identity, reusing themes/revisiting themes (after a game about revisiting the past), lack of branching paths (and the ones in games are only for red coins) and guest character stages being the odd in between.
Again, if they stretch them out which I think they are trying to do so it might be good.
It's interesting that the Switch version looks like it's not compromising too much. It looks like a respectable translation with worse IQ, perhaps resolution, and framerate.
I don't think it's as bad as I'd have otherwise expected. Overall, it seems to run decently well as a direct translation of a game that runs on hardware almost a generation up from it.
recolors were seens as homosexuals on DA, literally the Black folk of the Sonic fandom. Having an OC that you draw is one thing, hell you can draw a red Sonic and call it a day. But if you fricking took a screen shot from Sonic X, colored over it and claimed it as your own work, you were ostracized by every autist except other recolor artist.
>no I WANT to play on an empty, structureless background graphic
forces and most boost games are complete shit but putting the same gameplay in an empty field with some ramps isn't fricking fixing it, you fricking moron
>People are probably wanting something more like Utopia
you mean an empty grass field with no objective, barely any enemies (the few scattered on the map being very easily ignorable), and level design you can easily ignore completely because you'll be too busy flying over it?
wow sounds so much fun, I'll drop 60 dollars on that!
Fun fact: after 6 years of having the fan community suck his dick as some kind of genius, this is the best Lange and his team could do when tasked with turning Sonic Utopia into an actual game with a goal!
>extremely linear >empty >no enemies >no challenge
BUH BUH BUH LOOK!! IT HAS ROLLING PHYSICS AND LOOKS LIKE SONIC CD'S INTRO!!!
Utopia only works as a free fanmade sandbox game.
The cyberspace levels are literally sonic's botw shrines, just a fun challenge if you think there is a world to explore well then you are wrong you've already seen the world.
why are homosexuals saying this is Forces level design?, it doesn't look like forces levels at all. Stay mad Black folk, this Sonic game will actually be good

I'm legit done with this series, at least with the new stuff.
Over a decade since Generations and they still peddle this same shit into each new game.
I don't feel like wasting money on Sonic Forces with hub worlds.
They think they're inovating? Shit was a thing in 1998.

It's just a moronic and convoluted retcon of decades of games. Talk about the final nail in the coffin
>"It was all a dream" is the most well known and hated trope in storytelling >Sonic Team in their infinite wisdom turn the entire franchise into "it was a dream"
If it was any other company I'd call bullshit, no one is this stupid. Sonic Team though, I believe it.
>actual kino story >story basically says "Modern is le bad and Classic is le good" >retcons multiple loved characters >retcons Shadow despite being used as the big reveal for the third movie

If this is true, bravo Sonic Team. Now this is how you properly kill a franchise. No pussy footing around like the past 2 decades, fricking napalm everything in the most insulting way possible. Leave no bridge intact..
I'm down for this. Just go full moronic to explain inconsistencies like the moon being "fixed" after SA2, how humans constantly change from realistic to cartoony, how Silver/Blaze's "future" flipflops from being an "alternate dimension".
Something happening off screen isn't an inconsistency. Different games having different art styles isn't an inconsistency. Silver and Blaze already have an explanation.
What was the Blaze and Silver explanation again? That Blaze was from an alternate dimension but somehow ended up in Silvers future? How did that make sense? Did anything ever hint at that before or after that game?
>That Blaze was from an alternate dimension but somehow ended up in Silvers future?
Other way around.

The theory your referencing is not only not canon but makes no sense since Blaze was established as the princess of the Sol dimension and has no memory of Sonic in Rush.
>it's not a plot hole because they could have explained it off screen
You can say that about literally any plot hole.
It's indicative of the fact that Sonic Team don't give a shit about any kind of on-going continuity, and you probably shouldn't either, is what it is.
It's not a plot hole. The moon getting partially destroyed served its purpose in the story. It's not relevant afterwards. Things that aren't relevant can happen off screen.

How do you figure the series has continuity at that point, when the writers clearly aren't treating it that way?
Anonymous
Sonic does have continuity, yes. SA2 has some light connections to the previous game. Heroes and Shadow's game are directly connected to SA2.
Anonymous
Even then, just barely. Characters barely hint at the fact Shadow was presumed dead. Eggman suddenly just goes on back to be being an evil scientist, because of course he does.

If you're going to criticize something, make sure you understand it first. Eggman never ever wanted to destroy the planet. His grandfather did. That's why he helped them prevent it.

SSEEEEGGGAAAAAAAA
"Sega used to hold an exclusivity deal with Nintendo, where they released some Sonic games exclusively on the Wii U and 3DS to bolster system sales. This proved, shall we say, detrimental to two of the four games produced under this deal, Lost World and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric--not coincidentally Wii U exclusives.
Lost World isn't necessarily a terrible game, underselling on Wii U aside, and it found a good home on Steam eventually, but Rise of Lyric's developers, Big Red Button, were initially targeting the game for the PS4, Xbox One and PC using CryEngine before Sega came down and cancelled the PS4 and Xbox versions at Nintendo's request.. This resulted in watered-down visuals and loads of bugs resulting from just getting CryEngine to work on the Wii U, and may have contributed to the irreverent tone of the continuity it was meant to be a pseudo-prequel to.
Since then Sega seems to have settled for just giving Nintendo marketing rights for all Sonic Team games instead of letting them have full control over the deal, but it still isn't going to sweep that first marketing push with IGN under the rug."
Is he right? Was it all Nintendo's fault that Lost World and Sonic Boom were lackluster?
Lost World is comparatively a pretty good Sonic game, and Boom is entirely Sega's fault.
They had a contract for three games, not a contract to take a PS4 game and mangle it.
>and may have contributed to the irreverent tone of the continuity it was meant to be a pseudo-prequel to.
And that's word salad.
That's not even close to being the same. You're either arguing in bad faith or an actual moron. 64 is the only game where you actually play significantly in the castle. The rest of the games it's just a set piece, a tutorial location for like 5 minutes, or it looks substantially different.
Interesting locations and good world design were never a part of Mario's appeal, unlike Sonic. Mario's first game had like 4 themes and most games have generic themes.
No one thought Green Hill Zone references were a problem, until someone told them it was a problem.
You could just as easily b***h about them rehashing Radical Highway, which they have done plenty of times. That's not the meme though.
Did paid journos ever call any Sonic game before release "shit"?
FFS they shilled Sonic 4 as good. Stop being clowns, this board used to call out shit games the second it happened, now people just to defend Sonic like he fricking deserves it.
Having some variation on Green Hill is tradition, and I welcome it. Though, at this point, I think they're just recycling assets from Sonic Generations over and over.
I'm more partial to the Sonic Heroes mentality of giving us a Green Hill Zone with a facelift.
They never clarified this in-game. Iizuka was asked in an interview and he said that the moon rotated, however in the anime adaptation Eggman repaired the moon. We don't know exactly how the moon situation got solved off screen, but either way the events of the game happened.
>Youtube malding over GHZ >Twitter malding over GHZ >Ganker malding over GHZ

I'm moronic you said that, then it would be the Death Egg or Sky Sanctuary at most. Labyrinth is impossible they don't care about Sonic 1 unfortunately
No, we're just tired of seeing the same two decontextualized locations for over a decade. It was fine when they put an unique spin and proper context on them, or when it was bonus content.

it's a level from sonic Frontiers
Well that level looks more interesting than "lol let's just use the PSO2 world and randomly scatter random minigames across the map"
So, I saw this thread before I watched the presentation, I thought this was yet another picture of Trackmania with a Sonic mod.
>people are excited for Forces 2
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO
THE WORLD IS SPINNING TOO FAST
Why do the stages looks so utterly soulless? There is no life and joy in them.
I remember reading a leak that said the levels are based around Sonic's memories and that one of them is a destroyed Station Square manipulated by the new ghost girl antagonist. Maybe this is it. Would be kino to have Station Square music remixed for this game.

Wrong fricking webm dammit.

WHat is this fricking mess, looks like a windows screensaver lmao
Sonic the Screensaver if he real
>It really is just the windows 95 pipe screensaver
TOPKEKE
Hell the screensaver would probably be way more fun to play on. Procedurally generated highways in the sky to run around sounds like it'd be better than any garbage Sonic Team tries to pass of as level design.
hopefully a sonic autist will mod that shit in, that would be raw.
Thinking about it more, it's a fricking perfect special stage gimmick.
>Lost World's tube gravity shenanigans
>you have x amount of time to reach the emerald at the center
>there's a barrier protecting it that requires rings to dispel
>have to jump between pipes as they generate, dodging bombs and bumpers and shit while you gather rings
>you can look in the background while you're moving to scout out pipes that generated with more rings or better pathing and find ways to get there
GET THE COOL SHOE SHINE
Unlike Green Hill Zone, this stage actually got me excited for the Cyberspace parts.
why not make the whole fricking game this instead of using the shitty unreal engine test world for the overworld
because boost levels are too fast and expensive despite being boring shit so they have to pad the game out with alternative gameplay.
Better idea would be to drop the formula all together.
They could do it if they didn't rush every fricking game. All they've needed to do for 15 fricking years is make one of these games with no gimmicks.
OMG YAAASS
GHZ YET AGAIN!
Anyone who thinks you're interacting with even 10% of that is a buffoon.
>oh wow so impressive
>the playable area
I hate SEGA and their worshipers
I think I'll just stick to Robo Blast 2, Spark 3, and then make my unity fan game based on those two
There's no timeline anyone would want to make a fan game based on boost era Sonic.
I dont know what this aesthetic is called but I love it. Looks modern sonic kino is back on the menu boys
The internet is not a big truck, it's a series of tubes!
LOL generations was how many years ago? this looks so much worse. both in terms of art direction and graphic fidelity.
i mean it is the switch version, kinda hard to make open world games look good on it
>he says, with BOTW existing
BOTW has blurry and stretched textures out the ass
BOTW looks good just because of the cel shade and good lighting. Otherwise the game is not impressive at all, tho it does have some nice water
>kinda hard to make open world games look good on it
These are the bite sized boost stages, dumbass.
What's wrong with it? Doesn't seem to have any glaring issues to me that pop out. Unless you're just being a israeli contrarian like 2/3 of Ganker
Sonic just doesn't work in 3d.
>Those disgustingly flat levels in "Green HILL"
Society is collapsing.
green platform zone
wait, is the second picture referring to sonic origins?
nah, this pic was made before Origins- and despite its problems, it's not as bad as that. it refers to modern sonic in general
Nah, it's the 3d and hybrid games
sonic 4 moment
Why are you peddling bullshit when there's legitimate frickups throughout the game?
you think the boost pedal is the problem he's trying to show off, not the arbitrary speed cap on running that suddenly slows him as soon as he's past the loop-de-loop?
>you think the boost pedal is the problem he's trying to show off
No.
I thought it was being forced through the loop when you hit a certain point like with the ramps in S4.
I'll go back to sucking wieners.
stay humble anon good man
He wasn't pointing out that, the point was how fast sonic instantly decelerates and doesn't even have enough speed to get past the ramp.
I'd rather take the splines of the 3D games than a completely fake sense of fluid movement.
what the frick? I had no idea those games were that bad
>those games
I am sorry to inform you that you are a homosexual. Those clips are all from the same game, Sonic Forces.
Is that only in Forces or did that happen in Generations too?
Only in Forces if I recall correctly
Can't wait to see how they "improved" it in Frontiers
Only in Forces.
Generations had shitty physics too, but not as bad as Forces.
Generations had underwhelming physics, but it had a super strong spindash and actual level design to prop it up. Forces' classic stages have nothing going for them
Why is he so tiny compared to the stage
He's a hedgehog
I still don't get why they still can replicate SA physics. Yes it had shoddy things and used auto paths too, but still took momentum in account meaning you could jump slopes or climb walls fine.
They can, the problem is that they can't design levels to save their life so they dumb down the gameplay until it match their awful levels
>They can
lmao are you moronic?
They have proper physic for everything in the game except sonic, it's deliberate
>They have proper physic for everything in the game
Like what?
enemies, crates, rings, debris, etc.
They got the sticking to wall part nailed down already, they just kill off any speed he has whenever they feel like it
Not that anon, but in Lost World they implemented proper physics for the pinball minigame and Sonic even retained momentum when moving about in those DKC-esqque rail grinding stages.
>Looks at Sonic 1 (because SEGA doesn't give a shit to look at the other Sonic games)
>Notices the shitty speedcap in Sonic 1 that was long since remove after 1
>Reuses it for Forces
>Wasn't even in Gens, likely because that classic was barely using any classic Sonic game as reference and just using whatever the frick they thought was good enough, which is why when you roll down hill you SLOW DOWN design sliding with modern Sonic actually gains momentum
It refers to every 3D Sonic, even the Adventures that nerfed the classic gameplay and all of its nuances.

AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAH
HOLY FRICKING SHIT
Forgotten Land revitalized my interest in Kirby
i had this fear that Kirby was going to go the way of NSMB for it's traditional games, but now it's branching off to be 3D World but not boring
>Nintendo franchise fans have lower standards.
Oh boy not the SONIC FAN talking about """"standards"""" LMAOOO
Sit your clown ass down.
Him being an idiot isn't an excuse to start talking like a Black person.
Everyone regards Forgotten Land as good it's because it fricking is. Sonic hasn't been good since it's transition to 3D and that includes the overrated piece of shit that are the Adventure games.
>sonic fans have standards
Unironically can't tell if this is bait or delusional.
>the song is basically the main theme of the series
>Green Greens itself hardly shows up outside the running gag of Whispy Woods being the first boss
>Kirby fans don't whine nearly as much about seeing or hearing green greens
Because Kirby games are actually good 90% of the time
They're mediocre baby games
you will never get another DKC game
For many years now, every time whispy woods shows up he's significantly altered and remixed in an interesting new way, unlike green hill which either shows up basically unaltered, or is changed in an utterly boring, shit fashion like "sand hill".
Because green greens has been a general staple of Kirby since the beginning and Sonic has only been obsessed with shoving Green Hill into every game for the last decade.
Hence why people criticize the reuse of Green Hill specifically and not the usage of general "green" stages, which in the past usually held some differences from GH either in its presentation or gameplay. Springs and shuttle loops are more like Sonic's equivalent to green greens.
tl;dr you're moronic
>Kirby Planet Robobot
>Get mecha whispy woods and mechanized Green Greens
>Sonic Forces
>Get Green Hill but it's brown and there's a few sand sections
>B-but Nintendo fans accept rehashing and creative bankruptcy, so you should too!
What kind of fricked-up logic is this? Sega fans, unlike Nintendo plebians, are mature adults with refined taste. Our standards are simply higher. Nintendo fans gag down Natty Lite, Sega fans are sommeliers who are used to tasting only the finest wines.
Green Hill Zone for the millionth time is... simply unsatisfying for anyone other than children who are easily impressed by bright colors and flashing lights. We expect better, we DESERVE better.

So, it's okay when Nintendo does it?
>"a grassland"
>"a green greens"
>"a jungle"
vs.
>"GREEN HILL ZOOOOOOOOOONE!"
There is a stark difference.
To put it this way, had it been City Escape/Emerald Coast that was rehashed, I highly severely doubt most of you gays would seethe as viciously over it by comparison.
>muh Wispy Woods
Remixed in every game unlike these sad Green Hill rehashes in the past decade, Mania at least tried.
it's always okay when Nintendo does it. have a nice day, b***h.
People have been b***hing about stock Mario levels like purple drank jungle for years. Where have you been?
Apart from the creatively bankrupt NSMB series, where are the complaints?
I don't care about Sega or Sonic, I was attacking Sonicgays's specifically
>mental gymnastics
>Mario and Kirby have decent track records and baseline quality
>3D Sonic does not
>Mario/Kirby repeats itself = implies that baseline quality will continue
>3D Sonic repeats itself = a reminder of several mediocre-to-bad games
This isn't mental gymnastics, this is walking from point A to point B.
the difference is mario platforming compared to sonic with every new titles is objectively better. Odyssey has better momentum mechanics than any of the 3D Sonic games in the past decade. What are you coping for? It's okay to admit Sonic Team is a shell of their former selves, they aren't paying you to defend them.
>I preferred Sunshine's design the most,
Shitshinegays are the Adventuretrannies of 3D Mario, i fricking swear
>GAMECUBE BAD
do wagglegays really?
the wii is shit and was responsible for split and neglect in most Nintendo fanbases, cope.
>Cubetroony getting huffy again
lmao your shit systems was the Wii U of the 00s, cope.
ya seethe?
the wii was shit too. nintendo hasn't made a single good console since 1990.
Pirate Panic isn't a jungle.
Lakeside Limbo isn't a jungle

Why did you even bother posting anon, anyone that isn't a 2000s Black person literally never hated GHZ until it was clear Adventure era was banned and classic Sonic was being focused on again. That's literally it. No one seethed with AdventureBlack folk got theirs
At this point, I'm really hoping that fake leak isn't actually fake and the entire canon is going to be retconned into oblivion. I swear, all I need as a final sendoff from this shithole IP is the death of the fanbase, then I'd feel at peace once and for all.
Well, Sonic doesn't have canon. What is there to retcon?
Your childhood game lol
Sonic has been retconning it's own canon since Sonic 2. Remember when there were only six chaos emeralds?
He just miss the last one.
>introducing something is retcon
Remember when Sonic's speed came from his shoes?
Nonfan detected! You don't know how this series worked in the 90s. That's not the Japanese canon.
Remember Ovi Kintobor? Yes, that is Japanese canon, or was at one point.
Lol. That's not the Japanese canon. You have no idea what you're talking about.
It actually is. It's from the series Bible, that Sega supplied the overseas marketers with as a guideline.
Once again, you have no idea what you're talking about. The series bible isn't Japanese. What SEGA supplied in Japan in the (early?) 90s was the original story.
It's canon.
You don't even remember the BDG video you are joking about correctly man. You look dumb
I don't even know who that is. It's canon though.

Sonic, if he real...
Might just be the first human in 20 years to not look like absolute generic anime trash or god forbid, FF10 ripoffs.
I hope any more hoomans in this shit series finally become useful pieces of shit and has designs as fitting as the Balan Blunderworld ones.
Did you not play Unleashed?
Reminds me too much of splatoon’s weird skyboxes
I will now buy sonic

You seem to have, since SEGA is a American company (founded in Hawaii). It just has Jap slave labor.
Then why do the games take place in AMERICA, huh?

nostalgia, what else?
It's not what fans want, it's what they THINK fans want. If said fan hasn't played a single Sonic game in the last 25 years. They're hoping some lost demographic will come back when they see it, but they hope for that with EVERY SINGLE GAME
It could a be a lot worst
Colors DS, Lost World and Forces handled them pretty well
>He thinks they won't be in Frontiers
Leave it to take Nintendo stepping in to release a trailer that makes the game look any good.
Seriously what was the point of the IGN shit
To make sure only mouthbreathers would like the game
i wish they reused star light from time to time if they want a fast zone from sonic 1. it was pretty fast and had even more loops than green hill zone, and can be very comfy. but i guess i shouldn't expect anything from sonic team
.
>Maurice
Some people call him the space cowboy
Underrated.
Archie reference.
He's gonna show up isn't he
Sonic is just his nickname. Maurice is actually his real name, just like Dr. Robotnik is referred as "Eggman" at onces. Archie comics canonically confirmed this.
Eggman has always been his name. Robotnik is the westernization. As for Sonics name, I don't care.
I know you're just trying to bait that one anon, but don't be so obvious about it
His middle name is "the." Sonic "the" Hedgehog.
That was just a joke from Boom. Maurice is still his middle name.
>Archie """""canon"""""
His real name is Mr. Needlemouse
Everything is canon. They confirmed only Chronicles isn't any fit into the canon.
Nope. SA2 confirms he always was named as Robotnik, only that he's still referred mainly as Eggman for all along.
Harinezumi actually.
The Adventure Series is the definitive way that 3D Sonic should play.
WHAT IS THIS?

You were told, in several instances, that Frontiers' cyberspace stages would be reusing assets and had plenty of time to come to terms with it and yet you still had a meltdown anyway when you actually saw it.
How is it I, an autistic Sonic apologist, am conducting myself better than someone who claims to see right through Sonic Team's bullshit?
I saw the footage with Sky Sanctuary, but I was expecting Sonic Team to at least have the self-awareness not to include fricking Green Hill too
>I, an autistic Sonic apologist
Why do you insist on being a moronic cuck?
At this point I've moved past you charlatan fricks. There's nothing you can do until I've played it for myself to ruin Sonic Frontiers. Continue screeching, it's lost all merit.
>At this point I've moved past you charlatan fricks.
No you haven't. You're still in this thread interacting with said "fricks", defending your position as an apologist.
I actually read nothing at all upon coming in here, just made my first post assuming people were melting down. Glad to know you shits are so predictable.
Yeah, sure, see you next thread where you'll cry that people are rightfully shitting on Sonic Team's next blunder AGAIN.
>I actually read nothing at all upon coming in here
Why post here at all? Aside from interacting with people you are apparently "over".
You're an idiot.
Yet you're still here. Frontier's is guaranteed dogshit, btw, cope.
>an autistic Sonic apologist,
Hi Nick.
*30
Yes, that's why Forces flopped, not because of Shitty Green Hill, teasing past bosses and barely using most of them, [NOT] Casinoplois even though they brought back Green Hills and the shitty Classic Sonic sections.
OH AND WHISPS
Gotta have whisps, and QTEs on the guest character AND the tag team move that skips most the level.
Malding I see. Take meds.
>malding
who's the zoomer here exactly?
>Posting images of yourself
You?
>trying "no u" to look like an oldgay
kek.
It looks like a respectable translation with worse IQ, perhaps resolution, and framerate.
are you blind, the resolution was atrocious
I don't think it's as bad as I'd have otherwise expected. Overall, it seems to run decently well as a direct translation of a game that runs on hardware almost a generation up from it.
I want to make a sonic game with the parkour and maybe the spin dash from sonic lost world
Where do I look to start?
>quick ass recolor warrants a watermark
fricking twitter egos
>he says this for the franchise known for ORIGINAL THE CHARACTER DONUT STEEL
recolors were seens as homosexuals on DA, literally the Black folk of the Sonic fandom. Having an OC that you draw is one thing, hell you can draw a red Sonic and call it a day. But if you fricking took a screen shot from Sonic X, colored over it and claimed it as your own work, you were ostracized by every autist except other recolor artist.
t. XxShadic1997xX (deleted account)
I'm glad you saw the errors of your ways, anon
Look
The problem with Colors and Forces level design is that background looks more interresting than the stage itself.
Unleashed and Generations don't have that problem
>
Because Forces was dogshit troon
>no I WANT to play on an empty, structureless background graphic
forces and most boost games are complete shit but putting the same gameplay in an empty field with some ramps isn't fricking fixing it, you fricking moron
no one said slap the unleashed boost gameplay onto an island. People are probably wanting something more like Utopia
Fun fact: after 6 years of having the fan community suck his dick as some kind of genius, this is the best Lange and his team could do when tasked with turning Sonic Utopia into an actual game with a goal!
>extremely linear
>empty
>no enemies
>no challenge
BUH BUH BUH LOOK!! IT HAS ROLLING PHYSICS AND LOOKS LIKE SONIC CD'S INTRO!!!
Utopia only works as a free fanmade sandbox game.
The cyberspace levels are literally sonic's botw shrines, just a fun challenge if you think there is a world to explore well then you are wrong you've already seen the world.
green hill zone fricking sucks
I prefer orange pile zone myself
why are homosexuals saying this is Forces level design?, it doesn't look like forces levels at all. Stay mad Black folk, this Sonic game will actually be good
Youre still going in a straight line
https://twitter.com/SSF1991/status/1541877820829405186
I'm legit done with this series, at least with the new stuff.
Over a decade since Generations and they still peddle this same shit into each new game.
I don't feel like wasting money on Sonic Forces with hub worlds.
They think they're inovating? Shit was a thing in 1998.
"being informed by a disembodied voice that he'd successfully escaped Cyberspace"
Does this mean that this leak is actually real, Gankerros...
nah, i don't believe this shit
lol
There's genuinely no fricking way. I'm not hoping for something like this until they reveal some story beats. If this ends up actually being true this will be pretty interesting.
>interesting
>kino
It's just a moronic and convoluted retcon of decades of games. Talk about the final nail in the coffin
Bravo Flynn
>"It was all a dream" is the most well known and hated trope in storytelling
>Sonic Team in their infinite wisdom turn the entire franchise into "it was a dream"
If it was any other company I'd call bullshit, no one is this stupid. Sonic Team though, I believe it.
>you're a Neo, sanic
>actual kino story
>story basically says "Modern is le bad and Classic is le good"
>retcons multiple loved characters
>retcons Shadow despite being used as the big reveal for the third movie
You are unironically insane if you believe this is real
>make forces 2
>make mania 2
>all that for patterns meme story
honestly i respect it
>Sega is THIS mad over Mania dabbing on Forces
If this is true, bravo Sonic Team. Now this is how you properly kill a franchise. No pussy footing around like the past 2 decades, fricking napalm everything in the most insulting way possible. Leave no bridge intact..
Sounds Fake as shit
They literally JUST unified the setting with the TailsTube explanation. Retconning the entire series would be moronic after that, let alone at all.
>They literally JUST unified the setting with the TailsTube explanation.
They just put it back to the Sonic Adventure setting.
If it's real, then I'm interested. I unironically love moronic Nomura-rides.
Sonic does have continuity, yes. SA2 has some light connections to the previous game. Heroes and Shadow's game are directly connected to SA2.
Even then, just barely. Characters barely hint at the fact Shadow was presumed dead. Eggman suddenly just goes on back to be being an evil scientist, because of course he does.
>Eggman suddenly just goes on back to be being an evil scientist, because of course he does.
He never stopped being one in the first place.
SA2 ends with him talking peacefully with Tails, ruminating on what a piece of shit his grandfather was, as if he's going to turn over a new leaf.
If you're going to criticize something, make sure you understand it first. Eggman never ever wanted to destroy the planet. His grandfather did. That's why he helped them prevent it.
except for all those times he's near enough destroyed the planet.
Destroying the planet has never been Eggman's goal.
I mean, he wants to strip it of all life, and rule over a lifeless husk.
He needs life to rule over.
Sonic CD bad future seems pretty dire.

It has gotten a lot of positive impressions so far so.. maybe there's a chance?
Cute
Peach's Castle had appeared in more Mario games than Green Hill has I'm Sonic games, yet no one complains about that
That's not even close to being the same.
Sonic fans are SCRAPING the bottom of the barrel for any argument
Mario isn't Sonic. You're moronic.
Oh brother sonic fans don't even have reading comprehension. You lot are a lost cause, I can't even read this post.
>I can't even read this
That's your issue not mine, moron
yes, but the games are good.
all i want is another game like heroes. is that too much to ask?
Something about that bland, realistic lighting takes all of the potential wonder out of these images.
No one thought Green Hill Zone references were a problem, until someone told them it was a problem.
You could just as easily b***h about them rehashing Radical Highway, which they have done plenty of times. That's not the meme though.
Anon…radical highway has only appeared in the 3DS version of Sonic generations since SA2. So twice in 20 years
Did paid journos ever call any Sonic game before release "shit"?
FFS they shilled Sonic 4 as good. Stop being clowns, this board used to call out shit games the second it happened, now people just to defend Sonic like he fricking deserves it.
>Did paid journos ever call any Sonic game before release "shit"?
Yes, yes they have
Name them. Literally all of them up to Sonic 06 I remeber people unironically defending them until the vail was revealed it was dogshit.
06, unleashed, boom, lost world, forces
>they shilled Sonic 4 as good
It's what they kept asking for years and what they've been asking since. It's unironically the game they wanted.
I'm crying laughing at this game, Sega can't miss when it comes to releasing absolute garbage.
It looks fine.
Yep, keep telling yourself that.
You haven't even played it. And it's not even out until like late November.
Having some variation on Green Hill is tradition, and I welcome it. Though, at this point, I think they're just recycling assets from Sonic Generations over and over.
I'm more partial to the Sonic Heroes mentality of giving us a Green Hill Zone with a facelift.
Imagine if they hadn't make Sonic 1's Labyrinth boss balls hard and people got to see Star Light Zone.
I'm convinced most people never even got to Marble Zone.
Will the other sonic 1 zones ever get love? They should bring back spring yard and star light
Probably not. I'd like to see them too.
god i love spring yard and star light, they were the peak sonic atmosphere
but yeah they're never coming back and even if they did the atmosphere would probably be ruined.
Or labyrinth, to make Sonicgays seethe so hard they enter the next dimension.
charizard in green gill zone with 1-1 blocks and pipes
>all the platforms are the full width of the play area
Why even bother to make a 3D game?
Remember when Tails had a super form? Remember when Eggman destroyed half of the moon?
>Remember when Tails had a super form?
You mean like a year ago when they made a toy of it? Or last week, where they introduced Hyper Tails?
>Remember when Eggman destroyed half of the moon?
Sure, that's one of the most popular games in the series.
So the moon is still half destroyed in all of the new Sonic games, yeah?
They never clarified this in-game. Iizuka was asked in an interview and he said that the moon rotated, however in the anime adaptation Eggman repaired the moon. We don't know exactly how the moon situation got solved off screen, but either way the events of the game happened.
Nothing is canon.
holy shit they are seriously giving the series a hard reboot
>Youtube malding over GHZ
>Twitter malding over GHZ
>Ganker malding over GHZ
Name a more BASED director. I wish I could make a game, put in an all time icon of a location, and zoomers seethe endlessly over it. Frick I wish I was that based.

That would be the best 3D Sonic game.
>Labyrinth Zone
You mean Chemical Plant.
I'm moronic you said that, then it would be the Death Egg or Sky Sanctuary at most. Labyrinth is impossible they don't care about Sonic 1 unfortunately
Iizuka hasn't directed a Sonic game in over 15 years.
Sonic fans hate Sonic things, apparently
No, we're just tired of seeing the same two decontextualized locations for over a decade. It was fine when they put an unique spin and proper context on them, or when it was bonus content.

Wow, the normies were right. The Sonic fanbase IS the worse.
There is nothing wrong with the Sonic fanbase, homosexual. Go suck your normalgay's friend dick.

I just want to see the superior Green Hill Zone make it into a newer Sonic game for once.
I want Marble
Why couldn't we just get a remake of Sonic Adventure that has the branching level design of Sonic Generations?
We already saw Western developers can use the Hedgehog Engine when they give it out like with the Sonic Colors ports.
We're going to get these cyberspace levels that all have the same ugly skybox and the level design looks super boxy and linear like Sonic Forces.
Why can't you guys just enjoy the new instalment of your favorite series regardless of personal opinions of proclaimed flaws?
I wish Sonic would die already, no one's really wanted Sonic since the end of the 90s ffs.
>Sonic fans hate Checkers
