The only thing they changed is that you are no longer dating her during it with that whole thing being changed to rank 9 as it is with all the romances, but the plot of her mentoring kids is exactly the same as it was, with identical beats and resolution.
It should be illegal to make SLinks revolve around external NPCs. Nothing's fricking gayer than wasting your one on one time with someone worrying over some faceless NPC. Ryuji and Makoto in P5 also had this issue.

While most of those choices are harmless and happen early in the SL when you barely know the characters so they are fine, some are really fricking stupid, like encouraging Kaz to run and I blame the experimental nature of the social links in 3, P4 and P5 are much better at properly punishing you for allowing the characters to indulge in their vices. I was hoping the remake would fix some of it but they had them remain exactly the same.
I feel like Atlus had to punish players in P4 since P3's "enabler" social links directly contradict 4's main message of looking past rosy beliefs and getting to the truth.
It was also just frustrating how you had to encourage people to do dumb shit only for them to go

The worst part is that people trying to justify it as being realistic way of getting people to like you ignore that at the end the characters learn their lessons. Why would Kenji remain your friend when you encouraged his delusion to frick his teacher when you knew it was doomed from the start or Kaz taking your advice after you almost allowed him to lose his ability to run?
I believe most are fine since you do help them at the end but I would have liked some of them to be more polished and consistent. And maybe more entertaining a couple are still the same borefest they were 15 years ago.

I beat P3 and maxed every single social link and I genuinely do not remember this character at all. Like not even a little. The portrait doesn't even look familiar. I cannot get over how the new version goes “bay-beee bay-beeee” instead of “babeh babeh!” It sounds moronic but listen to both and compare it sounds terrible. The slowed down vocals in the dorm music was jarring at first but grew on me
It does still have Mass Destruction but you get a different song whenever you ambush shadows. The new version of Mass Destruction sounds kinda of bad imo but you may like it. If not there's a mod on nexus to restore the original version.

Honestly it makes sense. Innocent Sin Online is clearly a post apocalyptic SMT style game and Maya dresses as Heroine in this.
You could chalk it up as Nyarlathotep-brand trolling. He did create false ancestry for the Innocent Sin cast in Eternal Punishment to mock them for their failure, ISO being the same deal wouldn't be too far fetched.
The world does end in Innocent Sin, so I guess it's not entirely unexplainable it's post-apocalyptic. What is unexplainable is adding references to Tatsuya and Maya being game characters when there's already existing references to them as real people on TV. Not sure why they thought people in 2024 wouldn't get classic MegaTen references but would get P2 references instead.
