Teleport puzzle dungeons fricking suck. Not because they're "hard", but because, unless you use a guide to make sure you got everything afterward, you'll never escape that itching feeling of missing something.

The point where the game forced me to do a sex minigame with Cobalion to progress the story was where I lost all my interest in BW2.

              >later there's a scientist with a magnemite, magneton, a voltorb, and TWO koffings!

They're bland and repetitive, but sure, they're not identical.

I mean I still wouldn't call it that repetitive, there's enough variance with the Rocket Grunts to not make them unbearable.
You always hear "oh they just spam Zubat and Raticate" but as soon as you see that oh actually they have the Machop line, the Drowzee line, the Sandshrew line, the Cubone line, the Grimer line and the Weezing line on top of Zubat and Rattata and suddenly that trainer class seems a lot more reasonable than what people hyperbole it as.

It's the duplicate mons in a single team that makes them unbearable. They don't put up much of a challenge. I always end up avoiding as many grunts as I can whenever I'm in Rocket Hideout or Silph Co.

    A little bland.
    >Team Galactic HQ
Really fun, awesome music blasting in here.

Silph Co. is literally the peak of Kanto, rescuing all the workers and it really feeling like this long trepidous dungeon is so good, especially when it culminates in back to back fights with the game's two major antagonists.
It'd be even better if they locked the front door as you go in so you can't just keep going back out to heal but whatever, you can easily just limit yourself so it doesn't feel too bad.
    I like the music too.

Too bad Pokemon basically pussied out of doing proper dungeons after Gen 1.

Pokemon is such a short game that unless you're running back & forth to the Pokemon Center every time you take damage it shouldn't feel like a chore

I unironically love all these areas, I usually have just finalised my full team of six at this point and its satisfying watching the mons I trained go all out against a gauntlet of bad guys. If anything I lose interest right after completing them.

agreed. When reading peoples opinions like in this thread I always feel these people never actually played it or just want to hate it. I replayed yellow a while ago for the first time since childhood and none of the things people pick on ruined the game or even felt bad.

SMT has legit completely replaced the Pokemon franchise for me. it does everything Pokemon tries to do, better. I just come back here once in awhile to see how low it's sunk

I miss stuff like this, back when Pokemon had dungeon crawling. They weren't perfect but at least they tried. It's something that's really lacking from modern gens imo.
