It's better on paper but there are more potential QC issues.

Those 2 buttons on the bottom right are cancer. How do you hold it and press the normal 4 face buttons without also pressing those?
This is as bad a design as the ps4 and 5 controllers with the start+select buttons in terrible poisitions.

you're a moron. How do you press X without hitting A or B as well?!?!

I lift the base of my thumb, the part that would push down on the buttons where theyre currently located if i was using the pad in op. I dont have henry cavill tier baby hands.

The C and Z buttons are directly where my palm rests when holding the controller. Should just put them on the back, where they belong. Once youve used a pad with paddles, youll never go back.

you must have fat fricking hands, lardass. That's not how normal hands work. If your palm was resting on the face of the controller you wouldn't be tapping the face buttons with the tips of your fingers, but rather the base of them. Shut up, or send pics of your fat ass hands with "palm resting" there.

Never had drift on an xbox one controller. Had it on the 360 a lot though.

I apologize for not being black, but c and z rest right under the thumb knuckle joint when held with a normal human hand. There's no way to palm press them without moving your hand way up intentionally.

Not for me. I rest my thumb on the sticks, not the face buttons. I guess ive got a moronic way of playing

They're shorter than the other buttons with high actuation force, and far enough away from the other face buttons that they don't get in the way. Honestly probably too far, they're impossible to hit accidentally but annoying to use intentionally for anything you'd want frequent use out of.

I have one and it's great, but I've heard getting one without any issues can be a gamble. Mine seems perfect.

It's bretty gud so far. I still need to find a game where I need extra macros to really utilize the c and z buttons. Only thing is that all of the buttons are really clicky. They sound and feel like a mouse click. It doesn't really bother me, and the tactile feel is nice, but It's definitely odd and louder than a normal controller.

How stiff are the ABXY buttons?

Takes a bit more force to press than any other controllers I own, but is almost linear by comparison.

It is the best controller I have ever used. It's also cheaper than almost all the standard controllers you see for consoles if you buy it from aliexpress.

I need to find a way to use this as a controller. I like the track pads and the extra back buttons. I wish that was standard.

To clarify, I meant the back buttons. Obviously I know the pads themselves won't fit on a traditional pad.

I agree with you. It’s difficult to return to a standard no back button controller after using the steam deck.

used to play using its predecessor (Vader 2) and now Vader 3 pro is my daily drive, here's a thing regarding buttons:
    - C and Z are useful, but not as "action" buttons. Actions like performing attacks, reloading mag, or casting skills feel very cumbersome with C and Z. They are more suitable as "toggle" functions that you use occasionally but not frequently, such as toggle prone/crouch in shooter or changing weapons in Elden Ring.
    - The real MVP is the rear buttons, which allow much more flexible control schemes. You can shuffle inputs and come up with a much better setup than conventional controllers.
    - Switchable triggers have great uses beyond FPS/shooter. Think about rhythm games and fightans where tactile input is prefered.
    - You can completely ditch right stick and still able to fully control camera, using gyroscope

i dont really care about the c and z, or the back buttons, but want a hall stick, mech button controller with the adjustable triggers. is this still my best option?

Probably. Gulikit KK3 Max also releases in a few days, but I think it's a membrane cross d-pad instead of mechanical circle like the Vader 3 Pro. If that's to your preference, that's another option.
