The Indigo League was 100% the peak, the exact choice of wording I would use. Kanto League had the disappointing end at the tournament. Indigo League had an extremely satisfying ending.
AG is good. You can skip GS (watch the movies, they're great outside of 4ever), and skip BW entirely. The whole mental reset was absolutely awful. Give Alola a shot, too. You'll enjoy it if you don't get put off by the art (or if it grows on you 6 eps in). If not, then you can drop it. Don't bother with Journeys.
Yes. I have two brand new factory sealed boxsets of the entire Season 1 on DVD with the banned Holiday Hi-Jynx episode included in mint condition. Later DVD releases of Season 1 removed the Jynx episode.
It's when the anime was most allowed to be its own experimental entity rather than being "the face of the whole franchise", required to follow rigid mandates and endure constant executive meddling.
Sorry but gen 1 was meant to shill the games and merch as well. Just because you were 12 and didn't think of it that way, doesn't mean they didn't plan it to be like that. Just remember how they made it Red and Green, then released Blue a few months later because Red and Green didn't have the full pokedex. Also stadium "0" in japan, which didn't have the full pokedex either.
Yes
And the corny american dub was at it’s peak as well, with genuinely funny jokes. The whole thing is full of fresh passion, artists and writers who are having fun with this new world, ideas, and characters
OG series is actually an enjoyable tv show and not just something you watch because you’re a pokemon fan
>starring Bulbasaur
yes
Only if you are a genwunner chud
A genwunner what?
basically the opposite of chad

Is the Hoenn anime worth watching, or should I stop at the OS?
Keep going, XY is kino and Journeys is also great.
Not even the second best anime season.
>Not even the second best anime season.
You're right. It's the best anime season.

no, the writing was terrible. casual viewing experience it’s alright I guess
How much better is S3-5 if you skip most of the filler?

>It was when the anime invented bullshit by schizo writers but since i was 12, it is based!
I'm not saying any of it was good, I'm saying it how it is.
Sure you aren't, homosexual
I'd rather see the end product of some schizo's ramblings than some railroaded soulless show that's only meant to sell pikachu plushies

No, that's XY.
Dumb XYgay
Pokemon Featuring Squirtle: SOVL
no squirtle: SOULESS
basado
also the indigo league itself was pretty great, silver conference was kinda disappointing
by far
only the first 9 seasons are good (when gen 3 ends at the battle frontier)
I Never watch Pokemon anime
Weird way to spell Sun and Moon
Advanced is the only one I have seen all the way through.
Yes. Although I'd prefer Orange Islands if it weren't for no Brock. There's something in that arc that's not been replicated since
The writers actually tried to make the Orange Islands unique
