Not that I play Pokémon, but how are you fricking soibeards up on a highhorse right now? >the monsters look le silly and it’s therefore bad
The game is bad sure but how is this more childish than Killzone or some shit, you’re big babies playing video games, what’s the difference.
>he thinks kids play Pokémon instead of using their smartphones >he thinks all of the remakes of older games are for children >he thinks all of the pandering to nostalgia is for children
This is still hilariously true. You would think the whole fiasco with the van gogh painting and the happy meal card shortgages due to soimales buying them all up, they'd realize manchildren buy pokemon more than children children
>Pokédex
Didn’t they remove the Pokédex and most of the Pokémon? These stupid things probably won’t even exist anymore in the next game, I doubt they’re a “permanent stain.”
>Didn’t they remove the Pokédex
No, what gave you that idea? Even PLA had one. Not to mention Home has the full Pokedex of every single Pokemon minus the GO event dex.
>home
Thanks for replying to me so I can filter your trip but that third party paywall is what killed Pokémon. The previous gens are all linked by hardware. “Your favorite Pokémon totally still exists bro! Just not in the game!” might be the worst shill damage control I’ve ever heard, try harder (except I won’t be able to see your posts, so).
>“Your favorite Pokémon totally still exists bro! Just not in the game!” might be the worst shill damage control I’ve ever heard
I have no idea why you think this is damage controlling. You're acting like the Pokedex doesn't exist when it does, it's just not the full 1000 or whatever anymore, it's more like 600ish nowadays when you factor in DLC.
Are you seriously defending dex cutting and the fact you need to pay $5 JUST to use a Pokémon from a different game in the latest game?

>Are you seriously defending dex cutting
No, I think for a brand as big as this it's beyond ridiculous especially when their excuse was "quality" or whatever it was and then they just ended up selling part of the Pokedex back anyway. I'm saying that you're acting like things aren't true when they are. The Pokedex exists. It's trimmed down.
You also don't need to pay for Home unless you're importing from prior to the Switch or want to hold more than 30 Pokemon, and the vast majority of what you import into Home from those 3DS games backward won't work on most of the Switch games anyway. The paid fee is also moronic for how much they make and is beyond dumb it's not part of Switch Online to begin with.
Seriously, if you're gonna get pissed at least know what you're pissed at and for.
>the Pokédex exists bro* >*just not in the game and most of the characters are DLC!
the absolute state of shilling
>just not in the game
Like I said to the guy above, are you just ignoring things for no reason? The FULL Pokedex doesn't exist in anything but Home anymore, the Pokedex itself still exists as each game has its own still even with the dex cuts. PLA's was 242 or 243, SV's is 400 and the DLC is like 240 something, BDSP's was DP's 400 something, and LGPE's was 153. At least be mad about the correct thing.

Finizen evolves into Palafin. When you go into battle and switch Palafin out its ability activates and turns it into that.

The Pokedex is the encyclopedia of ALL POKEMON IN EXISTENCE. A Pokedex that doesn't have all Pokemon in it isn't a Pokedex, it's just a list of some Pokemon.

No, a Pokedex is an encyclopedia of Pokemon for a given area. Every region has its own regional Pokedex, and then there's the national Pokedex which does cover every Pokemon. Galar has its own regional Pokedex, Paldea has its own regional Pokedex as well. The Kanto regional Pokedex does not cover Pokemon from Hoenn even though you can use said Pokemon in FireRed or LeafGreen. Alola, Galar, and Paldea are missing national Pokedexes, but they have regional ones like all the other games.

>The Pokedex is the encyclopedia of ALL POKEMON IN EXISTENCE
No, it's not. It's just an encyclopedia of Pokemon in the general area, typically compiled by a professor and the people helping said professor. If it was an encyclopedia of everything then why doesn't Oak's Pokedex cover Alola and Johto, two places he visits regularly and knows Pokemon exist? LGPE is after S&M and GSC so what's the deal? LGPE even has Alolan variants to trade for. Why are Oak and Elm shocked that Togepi hatch from eggs when Togepi isn't just found in Johto?
The National Pokedex is what you're thinking of. A Pokedex is normally just your own region's Pokemon.

NTA but Black person, there are over 1000 fricking pokemon
the series needs a permanent dex cut and a fresh start, but I don't trust current GF to do it, they'd probably just add a bunch of Turner shitmons and gays, blacks, etc.
If I had my way I'd keep Pikachu and the Kanto starters and they all get new evolution lines and a whole completely new 150.
Would pain me to abandon basically all of my favorites but it has to be done.

The solution is to break the franchise up into more spinoff-style games like PLA, and turn the mainline into an ongoing MMO-style title with seasonal updates. Compgays get their complete dex so they can continue bashing mega groudons into each other while pretending to be indignant about non-ubers, and literal children get their pokemon adventure without having to collect 800 pokemon in every single entry.

>and turn the mainline into an ongoing MMO-style title with seasonal updates
GF itself has openly mocked this idea for years, goes to show how utterly disconnected they are when GaaS is bigger than ever.
Could literally just be a PSO or MonHun structure where you have social hubs while overworld adventuring revolves around four-man lobbies.

Yes, that's exactly what Pokemon needs, to have even less content at launch so they can drip feed it the course of months.

What's the alternative? Yearly releases packed with pointless gimmicks that barely function and constantly strip out features from previous entries?
I'd rather see a minimalist launch that they build on over time rather than watching this so-called legacy studio continue to struggle with delivering a single complete product.

Whip Game Freak devs harder so they stop slacking off.
>I'd rather see a minimalist launch that they build on over time
Yeah, and then after 3 years of monthly drip fed content you might reach what a normal $60 game has.
GaaS is a scam, it's just a way to get people to stick to playing a game under the guise of "free content" so they might keep paying for microtransactions.

GF's problems run much deeper than that mate. they are a 200 employee company where the people running it refuse to hire more staff. to correct them you'd need to strip the company's higher-ups of the morons like masuda and put some people that directed the actual good games like platinum, hgss and bw2 and put masuda back in the music dungeon

Morimoto has been in charge of pvp and battle balance starting with gen 5. Not coincidentally, competitive is the only part of Pokemon that's still good and still has effort put in. I'd rather keep the guy making the best part of Pokemon good where he is than put him on single player duty and rob multiplayer of its golden goose.

>robot Delibird
this isn’t even the worst design I’ve ever seen but at the same time this is a new low for this company, how hard are they scraping the trough for slop crust at this point?
Pokemon never should've transitioned to 3D
All that did was enable lazy shit like minimal or no animations for moves and mons, and about 5 reused animations for every human, in every release
The worst part is we'll never have 2d charm back, and not that 2.5D shit like they did before
Their intention was to robo-fy some of the previous pokemon, where's the low here? It's a ar better decision than to introduce completely new pokemon as robots as they'd feel totally out of place
The futuremon i think are actually cool, the primal mon are the ones i find silly, through evolution they effectively become weaker.

Well, in the case of Koraidon it doesn't really make any sense for it to ever become Cyclizar. It's maybe 1/3rd bigger than a Cyclizar but it lost all of its abilities to hunt for no reason outside of running really fast when things like swimming, flying, and climbing would absolutely help it stay alive as a species. Not to mention humans are using Cyclizar as glorified bikes so they wouldn't purposely breed it out of them either.
It's one of the most confusing things out there, it's like if an alligator kept its ability to swim really fast but had no teeth or claws.

That's like saying it doesn't make any sense that dinosaurs became current day reptiles and birds. That's just how evolution happens, it doesn't always go in the direction of stronger and bigger, it's just about adapting for survival.

But in this case they had no natural predators that we know of, they had no real reason to lose their abilities because it literally would just make survival harder for them in terms of food gathering, and they didn't have to deal with what dinosaurs had to deal with which was smaller amounts of food due to less flora and fauna around thanks to the meteor. Wasn't something on the level of the dinosaur extinction only in recent memory in the Pokemon world because of the whole Calyrex situation?

They're imagined pokemon manifested by terapogos.
Embrace the schizo occult.
SWSH patched some stuff but you can still do stuff like dupe Pokemon with curry, make you seem like you're in a specific location if you stand on very specific tiles in certain locations (All this does it make it so you can give Pokemon different caught location tags like the first route counting as Motostoke), and you can get out of bounds using a specific online-only glitch related to your bike and doing a ranked battle. I'm sure there's more minor glitches but most stuff you need to intentionally perform.
LGPE I don't think even has any real glitches? Not that I know of at least, and the one patch it did get fixed something with either trading or online and that's it.
PLA didn't really have much to fix so the major patch it did get just added a bunch of content. The most it has is webm related now which only happens on two specific npcs and requires you to run in circles for like five minutes straight to even happen and it goes away if you get too far anyway.
BDSP patched almost everything as far as I've seen, and even if you used glitches to get to Darkrai or Shaymin it doesn't let you transfer them if I remember right so the few uses they had weren't even useful. The unpatched version is basically only for speedrunning or going OoB for fun.
SV patched the vast majority of glitches and you have to really try hard to see anything nowadays. The most I saw in 300 hours a couple months back was starting a battle near a cliff near water would sometimes spawn me underwater for the fight then warp me back to land, if you're surfing near the edge of a waterfall you have to fall down the waterfall as you can't jump or go onto the water right in front of you, and because of how the warping works when starting battles if you get incredibly lucky it might stick you in a wall or OoB but I only had that happen once and I warped out of it.
The Iron Leaves/Walking Wake raid gave people Bad Eggs but then fixed it and Iron Treads/Great Tusk raids crashed people.
>PLA didn't really have much to fix
It still has this handy dupe exploit with pasture dumping and grit dust post-game. It's basically free hyper training.
>BDSP
Gttertrash all around. Can't even transfer Spindas.
You can, they cut online services in April of 2024, and said Pokemon Bank will last even longer.
I just spent the past month playing through Omega Ruby, Pokemon X and Ultra Moon for the Legendaries and Crystal for Celeby and red Gyarados.
>It still has this handy dupe exploit with pasture dumping and grit dust post-game.
Do tell. I assume you can somehow release but not release Pokemon? >Can't even transfer Spindas.
Yeah, true, I forgot about that, but isn't that because of GO reasons and not BDSP reasons?
>I assume you can somehow release but not release Pokemon?
Basically. You talk to a specific post-game NPC that for some reason offers pasture management services, he's standing by the training grounds. His menus states are buggy enough that you can release everything repeatedly for infinite grit by cycling topics.
Look up "legends arceus infinite money glitch" since most people used it for that. It's never been patched.
>Anon, that's gen 4.
Red Gyarados is also in Pokemon Crystal, plus Crystal not only is easier due to the eShop version being capable of connecting to Pokemon Transporter, but it also gives you the GS Ball after beating the Elite 4, it's the only legal way right now to get a Celebi.
The remakes not only requiere another DS to move the Pokemon to 5th gen, but there's no legal way of triggering the Celebi event.
I think you can, but that'd probably the most cumbersome way there is to get a Pokemon. You need a Game Cube, a GBA, a DS and a 3DS along with various Pokemon games to transfer it all the way to Home.

>So did they fix the games at all?
it's been almost a year, what do you think? the part 1 DLC dropped a month ago and the game performance is still laughably bad
A year later i can confidently say thisnis the best game aftet gen 5.
The atory and content doesnt treat you like a brain dead child and the pokemon roster/strategy feels the most organic since gen 5, and tera is thenleast game breaking gimmick theyve ever added. Theyve also added the best quality of life changes since gen 5 for raising and training pokemon, along with having some of the best necessity for raising pokemon for raids and pvp alike.
The character design in the base game is rough, and performance out right sucks, but poind for pound this is one of the best game to play through and get competitive with.
The only thing lacking is single player difficulty and facility content, if the indigo disc can manage to add that i think it could dethrone black 2 for me.
For all you gays that butch and dont play pokemon, frick off already.
Okay which is it. Dynamax, mega evolutions or the moronic sun and moon name.
Which of these abominations do you think is better made than simply changing a pokemons type?
is almost as bad dynamax which got banned.
Are you kidding? They're not even remotely comparable. >Terastalization
Something that lets you change your typing once per game and get an extra STAB bonus. If you switch out at all it can't be used again. >Dynamax
Something that lasts for three turns, can be used on any Pokemon, buffs a bunch of your stats, gives you 120-140 BP moves with 100% accuracy that ignore Protect and I believe screens, moves that buff your Pokemon, I believe Max Airstream gave a free Tailwind, and more. It was basically three free turns of one-shots that also buffed you significantly and you had no idea when it was gonna happen on top of it.
dynamax moves deal half damage to protect (no idea about wide guard/mat block) and ignore acurracy checks, which is particularly nasty with abilities like hustle >I believe Max Airstream gave a free Tailwind
close, +1 speed on the user's side, most max moves come with stat changes and g-max exclusive moves come with secondary effects, like g-max copperajah laying steel-type stealth rocks
>one time predictable stat boost is just as bad as being able to change to any type you want with zero warning
you're right they're not comparable at all
>with zero warning

don't transfer your mons or at least make a backup Pokemon Scat and Vomit actually erase some event pokemon moves like the Arceus event that had Roar of time and you can't relearn it since the game doesn't know it was an event move
>transferring your Pokemon up means there's a good chance they won't be in the next game, save if they're something like Pikachu >have to pay for a service for them to not be deleted forever >even then you're just hoarding tons of different Pokemon and not even really using a good chunk of them anymore
Maybe it's just best to let them live in the gen you caught them in.

Because it's "legit" since they caught it in-game legitimately. That's the logic. You can point out that they need even more tools than PKHeX to get this Pokemon and to an outsider looking in they are effectively cheating even if the person knows the intricacies to RNG manipulation, but to them since they didn't modify anything it's legitimately gained.
Pay no mind to the fact that they can generate any Pokemon, shiny, with any ribbons, with any IVs, with any level (That can be caught in the wild), and with any legitimate ability which is one step away from just generating the thing and passing it off as legitimate. They can even modify eggs created to have all those and HAs if they feel like it.
Yeah, you have to time everything properly, but give me a break, you're cheating with extra steps.

There is none. It's entirely on your own arbitrary preference where the line for injecting is drawn. If someone wants to do it on real hardware and doesn't want to reset tens of thousands of times it's a good method, and not nearly as complex as it seems. I only found out about it because I wanted a Sneasel with good stats to take on a world tour for all the ribbons, because I'm an autist myself.

you don't use all the tools at once, some are needed and some aren't depending on the specific pokemon, mostly for environment noise making frames less predictable, or back to back battles you can't reset the seed for. It's honestly not any more complicated than learning how to use pkhex properly, the only annoying part is the one program that's only in japanese
Amazing.
I dont have the full dex, just allmof my trained and storymons, along with tons of cool pokemon I liked across every generation.

Agreed, but migrating the mons from gen to gen was terrible because at some point in the DS/3DS there were hundreds of them and I had to go through shitty minigames countless times to move them from gen to gen.
I still remember not being able to use the shitty action replay software for some reason and typing in long-ass cheat codes by hand back then. The first ones I got to work was to get a deoxys and jirachi. Not sure what I did to that deoxys but I still have my cheated in jirachi from sapphire, with OT "AAAAAAAA". I have no idea how that made it past the legality checks on pokemon bank and home. Then again, by the time he got there, he had been transferred through so many games, so whatever data was missing or needed to be corrected was probably filled in when I transferred him through some games.
I still have my beloved pokemon but I keep them on my 15 year old Platinum save where they belong instead of transferring them to nu-gen kusoge and overpriced online storage.
You're the one at fault for still caring about this garbage. Up to USUM (yes, USUM) they were still sorta trying and even came up with some interesting ideas. But that was the end of the rope, and the very last shred of creativity they had went into legends Arceus. The company is dead and the brand is surviving on name alone, but if there ever comes a time when the name pokemon can't pull sales on it's own it'll be the fastest death of any company this large.
That actually goes for all of Nintendo, they have stopped caring long ago.
There isn't a point to Pokemon anymore. I'm not even shitting on the designs like morons do. I just think this obsession with regional variants, and each generation having their own special forms has effectively ruined the spirit of Pokemon.
Regional variants should be entirely new pokemon. Every fox isn't a Vulpix, you only want to make them Vulpix because Vulpix is money.
Mega forms and dynamic forms and whatever the frick ruined the games and the idea that Pokemon is an animal and not just a battle pet.
>Regional variants should be entirely new pokemon.
Cool then we agree S/V did it right?
This is Toedscruel, not Paldean Tentacruel.
In Zoology terms they classified this as a different animal of a similar genus but didnt disrespect it by simply caling it (region) Tentacruel
No, Paldean Wooper and Tauros are a thing. Wiglett, Wugtrio, Toedscool, and Toedscruel are their own Pokemon. Clodsire is an evo of Paldean Wooper, Kingambit is an evo of Bisharp, and Infernape is an evo of Primape but they're their own unique Pokemon.
If Regional variants are the idea that a pokemon can adapt to a different environment, such as in real life through the evolutionary process of speciation; then that is an example of convergent evolution
It's not a Tentacruel, it's a mushroom Pokemon that happens to take on the appearance of one.
the only games that did it right were b/w. Different anon obviously. But I better never hear another double Black person who complains about gen v mons being "copies" of earlier gen mons.
>Regional variants should be entirely new pokemon. Every fox isn't a Vulpix, you only want to make them Vulpix because Vulpix is money
Then it wouldn't be a regional variant, it would just be a new pokemon.
Building and training pokemon to beat some of the bull shit raid bosses is vontent indidnt ask for and more than welcomed in the end.
They made a reason to keep training new pokemon for me and that is something i never knew i wanted but welcomed whole heartedly.
Me and my friend even train multiple of these pokemon sometimesnforneach other and duo raid with them. Theres a sentimentality to these pokemon that i think ill bring with me to my grave.

Why did no one realize this thing was a god when the game first released? Everyone thought it was Iron Bundle who was top dog but it's not like there's some crazy strat to using Iron Hands correctly, he's super straight forward.
he isn't OP at all
GF fricked up by letting a bunch of broken Pokemon NOT EVEN IN THE FRICKING GAME eligible for ranked play
Doubles meta is so fricked now
The paradox forms were a mistake they're all too fricking good to pass up even the shittier ones are better than the mid tier mons and making paradox legendaries didn't help one fricking bit
>kids game >never once try to explain the stat system >people figure it out by themselves >still to this day cranking out games that don't explain the stat system
do asians really?
>still expecting balance in a game designed for 3 to 12 years old >especially after they added Primal Groudon and Kyogre + Rayquaza who was so busted he got his own tier in gaygon
You people are so fricking dumb.
It has plenty of reasonable weaknesses that a balanced team can handle with no problem. >slow >weak to ground, fairy, psychic >neutral to water, grass, fire, and normal >vulnerable to burn >vulnerable to intimidate >piss-poor special defense basically requires it run assault vest, preventing the use of Protect and requiring it run a defensive tera
Like, I'm not saving it's a bad Pokemon; there's a reason it's usage is so high. But to say it's OP is exaggerating.
Yes but you need to make them pass as legal, which you can check with Pkhex. Q shiny Celebi or an Arceus caught in Diamond or Pearl for example are ilegal.
Let's do some math. Dragon's Ascent has a 120 BP, meaning that the Z boost would make it 190 BP. Dragon's Ascent gets +20 BP when dynamaxed, so that increases it to 210 BP. STAB gives ×1.5 boost to the move, which gives us 315 BP, and an additional ×1.5 from Tera, which gives us a whopping 472 BP, coming from a base 180 attack stat AND it boosts the user's speed whenever it's used thanks to Max Move mechanics
Maybe some broken ice shard cb user like darmanitan idk
A tera flying mega fug would have no weaknesses thanks to its ability
I ran some calcs with the 472 (which I need to fix), and this fricker 2hit kos a max defense investment mega steelix with one dragon dance (I edited the move to 315 bp, since the calculator takes stab into account, but again, I would need to run it again for it to be accurate)

I'm smelly phonescum atm but using your 315 but with Aggron returns a 3hko, could our boy possibly secure a W in two turns?
Anonymous
Did the math myself, Aggron needs no HP investment to keep it a 3HKO, so full attack Head Smash with Rock Head is 2HKO, which means Aggron can kill Mega-Fug with a pinch berry, which is guaranteed to activate after the second dragon ascent, although this might not happen if the effective bp is lower as suggested earlier.
Get yourself a motherfricking Aggron today.

actually this doesn't count whatever defense boosts dynamax gives and I don't know what numbers those would be to check
Not really, except for Dialga and Palkia which just float the rest look fine, even Kyogre weird enough.
It's just for some reason he just contorts itself and spins way too much.
>white text block on top of a sped up gif >no humor at all because anything that isn't le randumb xD shit might offend someone, the nightmare of a zoomer

Pick something less Twitterish next time, or just stick to Twitter.
They haven't been thinking for a long time. >make mega rayquaza >then make zacian, leave zamazenta in the dust >calyrex shadow is also a fine addition >let's shake up this next game by making legendary-tier monsters that are legal in any format
>immune to Fake Out >as fast as or faster than all of the fast Pokemon >deep move pool >solid offensive and defensive typing >min/maxed stats >situationally strong ability
VGC is a double format. This mon learns both Icy Wind and Dazzling Gleam, on top of having three type immunities and great offensive and speed stats.
It's not hard to figure why it became a staple.
>had to restart 30 times, with like 5 minutes of dialogue each just to get this homosexual
Doesn't even have low attack but I couldn't give a frick anymore.
now I'm confused, Are IVs those stats that go from 'no good' to 'best'? If so, you can just breed them right or hyper-train them (I got a Quaxly that's best in all stats).
he wants the attack IV to be 0 because bloodmoon ursaluna is a special attacker and the only time attack would come into play is if it hits itself in confusion. also you can't evolve into bloodmoon ursaluna so breeding is out of the question.
>Are IVs those stats that go from 'no good' to 'best'?
Yes. >If so, you can just breed them right or hyper-train them
Hyper Training only makes them go up, some times you want those to be low (specifically, low Speed for Trick Room mons and low Attack for special attackers to prevent Foul Play shenanigans).
You cannot breed Blood Moon Ursaluna, which is why anon had to reset the game over and over to get
>had to restart 30 times, with like 5 minutes of dialogue each just to get this homosexual
Doesn't even have low attack but I couldn't give a frick anymore.
, which didn't have and now never will have a low Attack IV, because there's no means to lower IVs in the game.

Came here to post this. After being a lifelong fan Sun/Moon was so bad I dropped the series like a bad habit and haven’t played Pokémon since.
They were thinking only kids would play this game and didn't account for manchildren
Sippy bippy
I don't think kids even play PvP
Not that I play Pokémon, but how are you fricking soibeards up on a highhorse right now?
>the monsters look le silly and it’s therefore bad
The game is bad sure but how is this more childish than Killzone or some shit, you’re big babies playing video games, what’s the difference.
mad lol
sure go play your mature video games for sophisticated adults like yourself, plucky
like what.
>he thinks kids play Pokémon instead of using their smartphones
>he thinks all of the remakes of older games are for children
>he thinks all of the pandering to nostalgia is for children
>kids play it...
>so we can get away with not putting in effort
This is the kind of think you are defending
Kids deserve better
he's not defending it he's stating why they do it. also kids don't care. obviously people are still happily eating the slop
This is still hilariously true. You would think the whole fiasco with the van gogh painting and the happy meal card shortgages due to soimales buying them all up, they'd realize manchildren buy pokemon more than children children
They were thinking nobody fricking cares the average Pokeman fan doesn't even know what stat numbers that aren't HP and LVL mean
He's good for raids but far from being OP, especially compared to some other mons SV introduced
what the frick is this abomination
It's a dolphin that transforms into capeshit once you swap it out and back in, also the stats are on par with legendaries.
Is this..... is this some kind of unironic wobbuffet evolution? Wtf am I looking at here.
how do you trigger his ability in raids since you cant switch pokemon? does its activate after he dies and revives?
Thats the neat part, you dont.
Have you ever wondered why the solo raid staples are Azumaril, Iron Hands, Goldengo, etc. but never Palafin?
In doubles iron hands is probably the strongest or second strongest mon currently, even going beyond flutter.
He is also a staple of VGC, edging out Flutter Mane in the last tournament.
sad to know these paradox shitters are a permanent stain on the pokedex
Seriously, if you're gonna get pissed at least know what you're pissed at and for.
>just not in the game
Like I said to the guy above, are you just ignoring things for no reason? The FULL Pokedex doesn't exist in anything but Home anymore, the Pokedex itself still exists as each game has its own still even with the dex cuts. PLA's was 242 or 243, SV's is 400 and the DLC is like 240 something, BDSP's was DP's 400 something, and LGPE's was 153. At least be mad about the correct thing.
i'm with you anon. they are upset for the sake of being upset or parroting from their favorite youtuber
That guy keeps saying the Pokédex exists when only 50% of the Pokémon exist (don’t care about third party paywall extensions) and saying it’s totally a good thing.
>and saying it’s totally a good thing.
Where? Where did I say it's a good thing? I said it's a bad thing and Game Freak are buttholes for not only removing the Pokemon but then sticking them back in for DLC.
Finizen evolves into Palafin. When you go into battle and switch Palafin out its ability activates and turns it into that.
Youtubers are the ones defending the dex slop. Nice strawman anyway anon.
>The FULL Pokedex doesn't exist in anything but Home anymore
Cool so we are in agreement.
Pokedex has always been but a glorified sticker album.
I guess Gen 1 Pokedex isn't a Pokedex because it doesn't have Vanilluxe
>Are you seriously defending dex cutting
Could literally just be a PSO or MonHun structure where you have social hubs while overworld adventuring revolves around four-man lobbies.
>when GaaS is bigger than ever.
GaaS is a scam, it's just a way to get people to stick to playing a game under the guise of "free content" so they might keep paying for microtransactions.
>devs
GF's problems run much deeper than that mate. they are a 200 employee company where the people running it refuse to hire more staff. to correct them you'd need to strip the company's higher-ups of the morons like masuda and put some people that directed the actual good games like platinum, hgss and bw2 and put masuda back in the music dungeon
>put some people that directed the actual good games like platinum, hgss and bw2
Morimoto has been in charge of pvp and battle balance starting with gen 5. Not coincidentally, competitive is the only part of Pokemon that's still good and still has effort put in. I'd rather keep the guy making the best part of Pokemon good where he is than put him on single player duty and rob multiplayer of its golden goose.
Can't blame them, they would need to actually work in order to create and keep in check that.
>Are you seriously defending dex cutting
i am. not all pokemon deserve to exist, most of them are gen2 shitmons that didn't make the cut for R/B. if it's brown don't have it around
>the Pokédex exists bro*
>*just not in the game and most of the characters are DLC!
the absolute state of shilling
UB were worse.
I liked UBs a lot
>permanent stain on the pokedex
>Literally all Pokedex entries regarding them are "no data available"
gamefreak was thinking "these moronic fricking kids need a quick and simple raid option so they don't run into every one with a shitty flareon or something and piss everyone else off"
The problem is Iron Hands might as well be a Flareon in most of the 7 star special raids with how hyper specific you need to beat those.
>*blocks your path*
>robot Delibird
this isn’t even the worst design I’ve ever seen but at the same time this is a new low for this company, how hard are they scraping the trough for slop crust at this point?
>He is unaware
Lol.
What? Earthquake has no animation? Do any of the attacks have animations? what a gay fricking game
It's all a conspiracy to anger you.
Which is why they added rainbows to the game.
Is there a reason why this Nintendo Switch game looks worse than N64?
Because it takes 5 months to make and you'll pay $70 x2 regardless of issues
Through Gamefreak any new low is possible
remember when people were asking for this 10 years ago?
gamefreak remembers
>What? Earthquake has no animation?
That's a PNG file, silly. It doesn't move.
Or just don't do the robot thing because it's stupid...
They are just pokemon from the future, it's not that stupid
>pokemon from the future are just old pokemon but as robots
it's pretty stupid
Nah it's fun
The futuremon i think are actually cool, the primal mon are the ones i find silly, through evolution they effectively become weaker.
The futuremon at least imply sometting happens to the world that caused pokemon to adapt and become mechanical-biological entities.
>through evolution they effectively become weaker
yeah that totally didn't happen on earth
Dinosaurs did not become modern day reptiles.
I knew my brain said something wrong. Yeah, meant Annihilape.
True, but this is pokemon world with totally different rules than Earth where the animals are basically super heroes with absolutely bat shit insane abilities to kill each other with, so being the strongest was effective forever.
They're imagined pokemon manifested by terapogos.
Embrace the schizo occult.
Go ahead and give us your top 5

Pikachu
They ran out of ideas and started ripping of digimon
>bullet punches you
>dies to a shadow ball from you
So did they fix the games at all? I was waiting to try them until they got patched, but I haven't heard anything at all about any fixes
They fixed some bugs but haven't improved performances one iota.
>Cyrstal
>Red Gyar
Anon, that's gen 4.
The remakes not only requiere another DS to move the Pokemon to 5th gen, but there's no legal way of triggering the Celebi event.
is JP colosseum's Celebi not legal?
I think you can, but that'd probably the most cumbersome way there is to get a Pokemon. You need a Game Cube, a GBA, a DS and a 3DS along with various Pokemon games to transfer it all the way to Home.
The plus side is you can get like 50 of them to give your friends
Doesnt it only allow one Celebi per save file on the GBA, which requieres to beat the Elite 4?
That's the rule for Jirachi, Celebi can be transferred 48 times per completed colosseum save
It is but it has moonrune names. VC GSC is the first time you can get a legal Celebi in english.
>So did they fix the games at all?
it's been almost a year, what do you think? the part 1 DLC dropped a month ago and the game performance is still laughably bad
pokemon is for babies
For all you gays that butch and dont play pokemon, frick off already.
i agree and hope gamefreak makes the next pokemon game of similar quality as SV
>tera is thenleast game breaking gimmick theyve ever added
Stopped reading there.
Okay which is it. Dynamax, mega evolutions or the moronic sun and moon name.
Which of these abominations do you think is better made than simply changing a pokemons type?
You stupid homosexuals Terarastilize is almost as bad dynamax which got banned.
>Hes a smogon-tard
Fricking pathetic, i should have known.
Baswd disingenuous homosexual.
>double hp and damage is just as bad as being able to change your type once to a fixed type
this is your brain on fanfic meta
>one time predictable stat boost is just as bad as being able to change to any type you want with zero warning
you're right they're not comparable at all
is almost as bad dynamax which got banned.
Even then it's not banned from VGC, only Smogon.
Totally deatroyed
Mister "baswd disingenuous homosexual"
dynamax moves deal half damage to protect (no idea about wide guard/mat block) and ignore acurracy checks, which is particularly nasty with abilities like hustle
>I believe Max Airstream gave a free Tailwind
close, +1 speed on the user's side, most max moves come with stat changes and g-max exclusive moves come with secondary effects, like g-max copperajah laying steel-type stealth rocks
>with zero warning
blame gamefreak, full team preview was very much a feature in swsh that they didn't carry over for some reason and they had to make team sheets publicly available in vgc as a workaround for it
He's right, mega gays need to be purged already.
stop engaging triphomosexuals
>THEY'LL STILL BUY IT LMAO
>Buy
?????????????????
>He hasnt transfered his pokemon up since Ruby and Sapphire on gba and still has his beloved pokemon from 20+ years ago
We are not the same.
>Can't fricking transfer because Nintendo cut online services on the DS and 3DS
You can, for a while longer, but the have said the feature will be gone soon.
Im gonna evacuate all the pokemon incare about before then, but the clock is running, and every pokemon game cart is going to be obsolete to emulation soon.
I really hope it brings down the cost of old pokemon games.
I can't even download Pokémon Bank on the 3DS. And I'm not spending extra money on shit just to jailbreak the damn 3DS. I didn't even use the 3DS either, got it in 2018, beat Pokemon Sun and Moon, and dropped the whole thing afterwards.
Shame, ive had it downloaded since release, and they gave fair enough warning to download it for a year while you could.
None of the 3ds pokemon games are worth playing so inguess i dont feel bad about it at all. Im sad the gen 4 and 5 mons are marooned.
Jailbreaking a 3ds is very easy. At most you just need something to connect your sd card to you PC. Got mine for like 5 bucks. Very easy hardly a hassle. Given it got me the entire 3ds libary for free I think it was worth the 5 bucks and 30mins of setup.
>spending money to jailbreak a 3ds
so this is the intelligence of people who play modern pokemon
weird, i just downloaded pokemon bank off the hshop on my 3ds
That's because you downloaded it in the past and uninstalled it. If you didn't install it before, you'll never be able to.
No, you can literally download it from Nintendo's own servers with a hacked 3DS even without an account. That's how hacked 3DS and Wii Us work.
>Hacked
I own no USB to put a SD card in nor am I spending $5 on one. I can't even find my DSI and shit, why should I go through all this trouble when Nintendo is very likely gonna put the old Pokémon games on the Switch and I can get them from there?
>willing to throw away money on switch ports but not a five dollar adapter you can use for any sd card for any reason in the future
I underestimated you before, this is advanced moronation
to throw away money on switch ports but not a five dollar adapter you can use for any sd card for any reason in the future
Yes
>I'm moronic but le chad reaction pic amirite guise
Yes, there is no point in taking extra steps and risking being banned from Nintendo just to transfer fricking Pokémon over when I can just wait for the official games to be ported to the Switch and I can just transfer from there.
>I can just wait for the official games to be ported to the Switch and I can just transfer from there.
So you rather pay $60 for each port, which probably won't become a thing rather than just pirating the games and paying $3 to transfer them with Home?
I hope this was just bait for replies because this is some of the most moronic shit I've ever read on this website
don't transfer your mons or at least make a backup Pokemon Scat and Vomit actually erase some event pokemon moves like the Arceus event that had Roar of time and you can't relearn it since the game doesn't know it was an event move
>transferring your Pokemon up means there's a good chance they won't be in the next game, save if they're something like Pikachu
>have to pay for a service for them to not be deleted forever
>even then you're just hoarding tons of different Pokemon and not even really using a good chunk of them anymore
Maybe it's just best to let them live in the gen you caught them in.
Frick me, does this mean I am stuck with my Jolly (I need one with a different nature, but he sweeped like crazy) Battle Bond Greninja on gen 7? I haven't bought a Pokemon game ever since Ultra Moon, and you can only get one of those Greninjas per 3DS. Is there a chance that I might end up finding people willing to trade for one if I ever do decide to play the Pokemon games again?
You can transfer them to Pokemon Home which can be installed on a phone, but transfering from 3DS to Home requieres the premium subscription, which is $3 a month. You don't need to keep paying to keep it, just to do the transfer.
Really? About time Nintendo/Game Freak did something tech-snavy. Probably going to do that, but I really need a better nature Greninja.
I'm keeping my mons in ORAS. I doubt I'll ever buy another pokemon game again.
You can, they cut online services in April of 2024, and said Pokemon Bank will last even longer.
I just spent the past month playing through Omega Ruby, Pokemon X and Ultra Moon for the Legendaries and Crystal for Celeby and red Gyarados.
>I just spent the past month playing through Omega Ruby, Pokemon X and Ultra Moon for the Legendaries and Crystal for Celeby and red Gyarados.
I'm doing something similar right now too since I wanna transfer up stuff before bank gets shutdown forever. I played through crystal, shiny hunted suicune, working on celebi and might go for shiny entei but not sure for that. Raikou is off the table since i already encountered him. I got my wii setup for colosseum and im gonna play through every ds game again on my way up
if you're gonna play colusseum you can shiny hunt them dogs much easier there with rng manip
I have no idea how to do the rng manip but ill look up a guide or something.
?si=jD9rgKL7RD7e1jOv
I found out from a much older video myself but this one has more up to date links and info, and its all frontloaded if you don't want to watch an hour of autism
If your gonna go through that level of autism and tool use why not just like generate the shinnies? Im not saying full odds is the only real way but when your using 5 outside programs to find the frame you get a shiny I think your reaching the point of outside the game tool usage just frickin gen one.
It's honestly not any more complicated than learning how to use pkhex properly, the only annoying part is the one program that's only in japanese
are you me? i have a full living dex on Home, and about 250 of those are from my Sapphire cartridge which means they're old enough to vote lmao.
Amazing.
I dont have the full dex, just allmof my trained and storymons, along with tons of cool pokemon I liked across every generation.
Its totally insane to think some of the pokemon i trained when i was 12 are still usable and around, and are older than most posters on Ganker.
I also will and always will respect Nintendo/gamefreak for doing this, there is not only no other game but nonother medium that can give you this kind of feeling in a toy. I find it pretty amazing.
almost 300 dudes came from these 2 cartridges here. i still play them every once in a while for fun, i have a DS phat that runs gba cartridges. Sure needs a new outer shell though, i should get on that.
>9 year old me completed the pokedex in Red and then deleted the save file to start a new game
We are indeed not the same.
You know, I dont hate the new pokemon games.
Then again, it was a gift and I havent played a Pokemon game since Gen 3 in the early 2000's
Did they get rid of regional variants with Gen 9? Why is this considered a different Pokémon?
>Did they get rid of regional variants with Gen 9
no but diglett and tentacool got these not-regional forms anyway
Its ground/grass, runs on land and effectively the only similarity to tentacruel is the looks.
>Infernape
Holy shit im not the only one who confuses him and Annihilape.
I'm just waiting for them to completely give up and go the fusion route
>he doesn't have tripgays filtered by default
NGMI
Building and training pokemon to beat some of the bull shit raid bosses is vontent indidnt ask for and more than welcomed in the end.
They made a reason to keep training new pokemon for me and that is something i never knew i wanted but welcomed whole heartedly.
Me and my friend even train multiple of these pokemon sometimesnforneach other and duo raid with them. Theres a sentimentality to these pokemon that i think ill bring with me to my grave.
Landorus at home.
Isn't Great Tusks better, considering Landorus got severely nerfed this gen?
Landorus-T is now Gliscor at home.
>not last respects houndstone/basculegion
>not tera flying kingambit
>not bulk up rage fist annihilape
>not surfer dude of hazard blocking
>not CM fluttermane
What is this guy talking about?
They make the Pokemons this busted so you would stop fricking playing Singles. The real meta has been Doubles since DP.
The frick is this, a mega-evolution of Hariyama or some shit?
Iron Hands, a marooned "future" single evolution pokemon that has literally nothing to due with Hariyama except for implication.
Why did no one realize this thing was a god when the game first released? Everyone thought it was Iron Bundle who was top dog but it's not like there's some crazy strat to using Iron Hands correctly, he's super straight forward.
I got a poster of my Ninjask from Ruby in my base in Alpha Sapphire.
Would have been funnier to have Shedinja though.
I really hope they add Shedinja back in the last DLC but I highly doubt they will, because Terastallize Shedinja sounds hilarious as frick.
>playing competitive pokemon
how much of a loser do you have to be to actually do this?
personally im fond of this big yellow hand robot pokemon.
he isn't OP at all
GF fricked up by letting a bunch of broken Pokemon NOT EVEN IN THE FRICKING GAME eligible for ranked play
Doubles meta is so fricked now
>most OP pokemon
>gets his cheeks clapped by a sandcastle
Played Pokemon Violet yesterday and its so soulless
the open world areas are literally the exact same and team star bases are literaly just the same
The paradox forms were a mistake they're all too fricking good to pass up even the shittier ones are better than the mid tier mons and making paradox legendaries didn't help one fricking bit
Basically a pokemon thread so im gonna ask here. Pokemmo any good?
>kids game
>never once try to explain the stat system
>people figure it out by themselves
>still to this day cranking out games that don't explain the stat system
do asians really?
it's a children's game
>still expecting balance in a game designed for 3 to 12 years old
>especially after they added Primal Groudon and Kyogre + Rayquaza who was so busted he got his own tier in gaygon
You people are so fricking dumb.
It has plenty of reasonable weaknesses that a balanced team can handle with no problem.
>slow
>weak to ground, fairy, psychic
>neutral to water, grass, fire, and normal
>vulnerable to burn
>vulnerable to intimidate
>piss-poor special defense basically requires it run assault vest, preventing the use of Protect and requiring it run a defensive tera
Like, I'm not saving it's a bad Pokemon; there's a reason it's usage is so high. But to say it's OP is exaggerating.
Anon, GameFreak doesn’t care about competitive. They want le cool design
>50 and 90 speed are totally the same thing bro
Why the frick is attract gone?
the funny reason is how dare you assume that all pokemon are heterosexual cis scum
the realistic reason is because it sucks and nobody liked using it or fighting against it
I liked using it because it was always fun to use against people never expecting it
You still can use it.
It's not. Fezendipity learns it through level up.
I mean why give it to only certain pokemon when almost every pokemon that was gendered could learn it
Because like toxic the vast majority only learned it through TM. I'm never touching the new garbage but I'm assuming it's not a TM anymore.
Can you transfer hacked pokemon from the 3ds games to this one
Yes but you need to make them pass as legal, which you can check with Pkhex. Q shiny Celebi or an Arceus caught in Diamond or Pearl for example are ilegal.
Next games should have the entire Pokedex and let you use Z attacks on a mega evolved, gigantamaxed and terastalyzed Pokemon.
The only Pokemon that could reasonably do that is Rayquaza.
>Dynamax Mega Fug Tera Boosted Z-Dragon's Ascent
Who can even take that monstrosity?
nothing
lvl 1 Focus Sash Endeavor Quick Attack Rattata
But that implies two turns, so wouldn't that mean Extremespeed beats it?
Maybe some broken ice shard cb user like darmanitan idk
Let's do some math. Dragon's Ascent has a 120 BP, meaning that the Z boost would make it 190 BP. Dragon's Ascent gets +20 BP when dynamaxed, so that increases it to 210 BP. STAB gives ×1.5 boost to the move, which gives us 315 BP, and an additional ×1.5 from Tera, which gives us a whopping 472 BP, coming from a base 180 attack stat AND it boosts the user's speed whenever it's used thanks to Max Move mechanics
A tera flying mega fug would have no weaknesses thanks to its ability
>no weakness thanks to ability and tera
I forgot how tera works.
I kneel to FUG.
Tera just bumps the stab to 2x, so it would only be 420.
Did the math myself, Aggron needs no HP investment to keep it a 3HKO, so full attack Head Smash with Rock Head is 2HKO, which means Aggron can kill Mega-Fug with a pinch berry, which is guaranteed to activate after the second dragon ascent, although this might not happen if the effective bp is lower as suggested earlier.
Get yourself a motherfricking Aggron today.
actually this doesn't count whatever defense boosts dynamax gives and I don't know what numbers those would be to check
is there any mold breaker mon that resists flying? I bet Aggron could tank it but probably can't kill it.
Anything with Sturdy or a Focus Sash
Unironically
>tfw no matter how moronic Pokémon gets, everything is still shit compared to Fug.
All roads return to Fug.
Probably the one good thing about this franchise.
>trasnfer fug to Violet
>he's so big and his movements are so spastic that it's impossible to have him out because of how weird it looks
Considering violet is a bugged out pile of shit FUG really wouldn't stand put all that much.
Not really, except for Dialga and Palkia which just float the rest look fine, even Kyogre weird enough.
It's just for some reason he just contorts itself and spins way too much.
Don't frick with my Mr. Hands, he wins me raids so I don't have to work with morons.
>Mr. Hands
Am I supposed to get anything from this ebin as fug twitter zoomer meme?
Says the zoomer.
>white text block on top of a sped up gif
>no humor at all because anything that isn't le randumb xD shit might offend someone, the nightmare of a zoomer
>Mr.hands
>Horse
If you don't know or connect these two, than you are a Zoomer.
It's referencing an old internet video.
That doesn't matter much when you are an obvious Twitter poster.
Oh it's the gaslight Black person from the other threads. How's being triggered by a blue bird holding up?
>Black person
Damn, that must have taken you quite an effort to type instead of the hecking wholesome version you love of "N word".
you don't belong here
Of course I don't, Ganker is now a gathering of 3rd worlders with an IQ at the level of a cow who are obsessed with gossiping about social media.
I hope you zoomers aren't under the impression that you aren't the ones who ruined this board
He made a reference to an old internet video where i guy gets killed by getting fricked by a horse, and you in your ignorance have a total meltdown.
Cool off kid.
And he couldn't do that without the ebin twitter memes because everyone here is a tourist who came from those places.
At this point Ganker should just be shut down and rangeban from the other boards to anyone who posted here.
it's a gif of a horse. Cool off, kid.
Don't you have some tiktok threads to gossip in?
do you?
dumb gipsy
I chose that one because it implies the horse is going to frick you in the ass, homosexual
Pick something less Twitterish next time, or just stick to Twitter.
I don't use twitter
but you sucked elon's boots, try less obvious
They haven't been thinking for a long time.
>make mega rayquaza
>then make zacian, leave zamazenta in the dust
>calyrex shadow is also a fine addition
>let's shake up this next game by making legendary-tier monsters that are legal in any format
>the queen of VGC
How does she do it?
>immune to Fake Out
>as fast as or faster than all of the fast Pokemon
>deep move pool
>solid offensive and defensive typing
>min/maxed stats
>situationally strong ability
VGC is a double format. This mon learns both Icy Wind and Dazzling Gleam, on top of having three type immunities and great offensive and speed stats.
It's not hard to figure why it became a staple.
>she
>has
>a
>playing a childrens' RPG competitively
>had to restart 30 times, with like 5 minutes of dialogue each just to get this homosexual
Doesn't even have low attack but I couldn't give a frick anymore.
Can't believe GF hasn't introduced reverse-Hyper Training to lower IVs yet.
You can, sorta.
Nah, that just resets EVs, not IVs.
now I'm confused, Are IVs those stats that go from 'no good' to 'best'? If so, you can just breed them right or hyper-train them (I got a Quaxly that's best in all stats).
he wants the attack IV to be 0 because bloodmoon ursaluna is a special attacker and the only time attack would come into play is if it hits itself in confusion. also you can't evolve into bloodmoon ursaluna so breeding is out of the question.
oh yeah and foul play like the other anon said
>Are IVs those stats that go from 'no good' to 'best'?
Yes.
>If so, you can just breed them right or hyper-train them
Hyper Training only makes them go up, some times you want those to be low (specifically, low Speed for Trick Room mons and low Attack for special attackers to prevent Foul Play shenanigans).
You cannot breed Blood Moon Ursaluna, which is why anon had to reset the game over and over to get
, which didn't have and now never will have a low Attack IV, because there's no means to lower IVs in the game.
>Got no good speed in 3 tries
>Wan piss
An apology for Hariyama kind of being such a bad fighting mon.
>Regigas
>Worst fricking Legendary in Pokémon because his Slow Start ability being based off a israeli story about a golem
>Only Pokemon in PLA to have an ability
>Sword and Shield is considered by all to be the worst fricking game in the franchise
>Also the only time it was goof because Weezing's ability got rid of abilities, including Regigias
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
destined to suck
>goof
Good*
Weezing is back in the new SV DLC. Now if only Regigigas was as well.
>makes all compgays seethe
Dumb hobobawd
They weren't
