graphics are good, rest is far cry shit. If you like Far Cry this is probably better than 5 and 6. If you like Avatar it's good. If you like good games it's bad
It looks nice and the optimization is top tier.
But I don't really want to play it.
Like don't see any reason to play such a game. Also big smurfs can use machineguns and granades.
>Chimpanzees are 5 feet tall >Can rip an adult male's arms off >Orangutans are 4-5 feet tall >Can tear a radial tyre in half
The real world IP doesn't make sense either.
How did they get better strength with less muscle mass?

There are multiple types of muscle fiber and they, pound for pound, have more of the ones designed to give them strength instead of endurance. They're also not that much smaller than humans, partially you've been tricked by the fact that people prefer to exhibit juvenile and female apes, grown male chimps are generally too dangerous to frick with, and while adult male orangutans aren't aggressive, they're considered pretty ugly so they don't get the headlight the females and babies get.
>The whole IP doesn't make sense
That's because the motivator is the environmentalism agenda and not the setting lore.
If it was about the setting lore the Na'vi would've kept their 4-eyes design.
That's because the Na'vi aren't 'natural' to Pandora. They were more advanced at some point in the past, then engineered their life on Pandora so they could return to monke and be happy with their organic protector Eywa powered by Unobtanium watching over them. They're not necessarily heavier, they have carbon fiber bones, so humans are more dense, but Na'vi do have the size advantage
The simple truth is Cameron doesn't really care about the lore, and the world-building that much. He's obsessed with the tech side of bringing his world on screen, and coming up with cool creatures.
I know that doesn't free it from criticism, just I know in terms of story this isn't terminator and isn't he's pouring his efforts into it. The audience will inevitably give as much fricks about the story as he does.. not a lot.
Visually, It's really god damn nice looking, but gameplay wise it's literally Far Cry Primal.
If you're looking for a GPU/PC benchmark kind of game then it's a good choice, but it's a pretty bland game.
Ubisoft complete garbage developer.
Feels like the plot/dialogue was outsourced to indians.
But the visuals and flora hold it together.
Not worth the asking price if you're after a game. If you're an avatar fan it's nice stomping around pandora for a couple dozen hours.
Get Ubisoft premium for 20 bucks and cancel it immediately, gets you one month access to the game.
James Cameron is friends with Ubisoft so he chose them. moronic. But the closeness let them develop high quality art assets I guess.
I am enjoying it its pretty much ya classic ubi game with an avatar paint. running around the well made world is fun for a while and it looks great but I wish they did something cool with the plot rather than generic na'vi save the planet since your char is human raised. I think the game would have been better with a dialogue wheel and letting you act unhinged like most far cry protags. Your character does not have a tribal accent as well and thats what i was mostly worried about.
Come on, avatar's too embarrassing. Liking it too much is like being a klingon fan except the klingons are naked and cry a lot, no one in their right mind wants to publicly be That. It's like the guy at the DnD session making a girl elf with high charisma rolling dices to seduce. It's funny as a joke until that guy shows up or that girl.
Considering how shallow the movies are with their characters and plots, existing as some audiovisual spectacle, there's not much to talk about after agreeing on how pretty the movie was. If someone insists that no it is in fact much more interesting than that because, because, and then starts listing the clans by name. The conversation surely takes an uncomfortable turn.
So avatar fans keep those discussions close to themselves, keep it within their circles and don't write articles about it or start tweeting in na'vi with their real name attached. At least the klingons are like warrior dudes.
It takes 4 hours to get your Ikran and then when you try to fly to zones you haven't discovered the game forces it to turn back. I haven't worked out if there's any special rewards for stealthing an RDA base completely and goddamn it's hard to hack those exoskeletons without range upgrades for your device.
far cry in space
can you kill children in it?
probably not, so probably no
When has any modern game let you kill children?
you can smother a baby in Tyranny
Babies don't count. Ask mothers
jej
You can kill children in the original Baldur's Gate, 1 and 2, and Neverwinter Nights
I said modern, gramps
>far cry in space
promise?
It's Far Cry Pandora. If that sounds like something you'd like you'll probably have a good time.
I heard from actual fans that they like it a lot. Gameplay looks interesting. Story doesn't look all that good. I'm waiting to pick it up
>story doesn't look all that good
>visually solid.
Ubisoft truly capturing the Avatar experience.
It's shit
But enough about Kiri
Female Na'vi are for human men!
Looks like your usual Ubislop and I hate those lanky blue c**ts.

run around pandora if you still have the avatar blues i guess
There is a £115 version and it has cosmetic/resource microtransactions. Completely insane.
she needs correction.
She can wrestle and pin you down easily.
She could kick your ass
>Come from a world with lighter gravity
>Somehow they are much heavier and stronger than a human

Other great apes prioritized muscle development for explosive strength while humans evolved for muscle endurance.

And that's the stupidest lore ever. Why even share that info instead of attempting a burial, why take it at heart at all you goof.

Its ubishit. What do you think?
No one knows. The shills clocked off for the night.
i had to stop playing becuase none of the character's clothing textures would load properly and it was pissing me off

Something Something brightest flames burn out the fastest or whatever

I dunno, can you bang Naavi in it?
it's really cool to explore at night
PS5 is a scam js
Absolutely gorgeous visuals and environmental set pieces, but that's about it.
You can get some value out of it once it goes 50% off on sale, if you're a fan of Avatar and/or just really love the setting and its world.
