It’s literally WoW but with (somehow) worse gameplay and more anime
I played a bunch of FFXIV but it had no enjoyable pvp which ultimately killed it for me
all mmos are shit now, not sure if ive just become apathetic but...

eso - Shit pvp, combat is meh, good housing/ voice acting.

Yes but I won't tell you because you thought SoD had potential meaning you hadn't sworn off WoW after it had long turned shit so I don't want you to dilute my games population.
I was starved of MMOs and my friends wanted me to come play for a month. I know WoW is developed by morons man. I was just bored as frick.

BDO has the only pvp I've enjoyed in an MMO but the pve is abysmal.
Mabinogi is the only thing left worth playing that actually qualifies as an MMORPG. It doesn't feel like any other one either, the combat is fundamentally different and far more interesting than that of WoW and its cousins. Not to mention people still talk to each other ingame like it's an actual public space.
It has PvP too, which is fun by virtue of a really good combat system, though most of it is in duels for fun.
