Look, I love Todd as much as the next gay, but we both know that hype and expectations for the game is going to cripple it as much as their game engine.
It would’ve probably had a better chance unfortunately, if it didn’t premiere in the same year as tears of the memedom.
It’s beyond just mere players and fans. They have developers and industry people gushing over the technicalities and competency of the game’s system.
They’ll appreciate the scope of Starfield, but for many it’s going to be fallout/Skyrim in space

I don't think Zeldas deserve those, and neither do I think TES does.
But between the two, TES is in an entirely different league, and Starfield is just TES in space.

Zelda will probably win but I still don't understand why. I emulated this time and played it to completion, maybe it deserves to be in the GOTY conversation but not among the favorites. It's a serviceable game but it's very mellow and too many of its elements are simplistic or mediocre like combat or story or general excitement. You can't say those don't matter because other games get judged by that criteria.
Unless FROM manages to achieve another dark horse victory with AC6 like they did with Sekiro it will be a Zelda sweep with the rest of the scraps going to Starfield
