>Posting the worse character in BCS
You have irredeemable garbage taste
deadwood > boardwalk empire >>>> sopranos
>boardwalk empire >>>> sopranos
>The Wire
Fricking kino.
nah, wire season 5 was dogshit, sopranos is number one for that alone
sopranos season 2 was dogshit.
>sopranos season 2 was dogshit.
unbelievably bad take
IT'S THE JACKEEEEEEEEEET
the wire is slop for Black person worshippers
The bear = the wire > the sopranos >>> md house >>>> mad men = bcs >>>> shit > bb
The Wire is such an overrated choice. You may as well just say breaking bad and out yourself
sopranos>deadwood>lost>sixfeetunder>leftovers>the wire>mad men>>>bb=bcs
I can't believe I watched the wire and the critical acclaim it gets. I do not care for ghetto Black folk and their problems this was one of the worst shows I've ever seen. The only good parts were when the Irish prick gets drunk
aqua teen hunger Force>sopranos>parks and rec>>rome>breaking bad>storage wars>mad men>comedy bang bang (pre season 4)>the wire>Seinfeld
Plenty. Dragon's Dogma, Deus Ex, Link to the Past, Wild Arms 2, Obra Dinn. A 10/10 is something that as a whole is a masterful experience, not something that has no flaws.
True Detective S1 >= The Sopranos > Chernobyl = The Terror S1 >>> The Wire >= Mad Men
>stuff i like means 10/10
A lot of the stuff you listed hasn't aged well
>hasn't aged well
Zoomer alert.
What the frick do you want me to say you cum addict should I only be conveying opinions through soijaks?
That's a lot of repressed anger for just being called a zoomer.
You should be old enough to comprehend that vidya doesn't age.
You're just outing yourself as having shit taste
>I like stuff that's 10/10
There you go. And I like things that accomplish what they try to do with aplomb. 10/10 doesn't mean there are no flaws I can pick out in something, 10/10 means that when you take into account all of the parts and how they work together and think about the focus of a piece of work, it nails what it's trying to do. DD for example is blatantly unfinished and has a lot of dumb choices, but no other game comes close to that kind of party based action RPG combat or sense of adventuring through the world with a party.
>A lot of the stuff you listed hasn't aged well
There are games that don't age well. None of the games I listed fall under that umbrella. The only argument I could see anyone making for any of them aging poorly would be WA2 using random encounters, but even then the game has a lot of good quality of life stuff for how you manage them that isn't just "make them appear less/more."
lttp first perfect game ever made
dragons dogma rules if that's the one that lets you make padawans
10/10 bait take my (you)
Put Chernobyl above The Wire and yeah, you've got it.
Deus Ex, no matter how many years pass and how much time marches on I still love it.
I haven't found one yet. I like most of the games I play, but all of them leave a slight amount to be desired.
Mario Galaxy 2
Left 4 Dead
Portal 1
True Detective Season 1
Starfield
no there isn't
I was interested in Mad Men, but I heard the guy behind it hates whites or something. Is The Wire any good?
Portal 2
Baldur's Gate 3
Sekiro
Outer Wilds
Ocarina of Time
Dishonored
Thief 2 The Metal Age
Metroid Prime
Half Life 2
Starcraft
Cuphead
Resident Evil Remake
Witcher 3 Expansions
Mass Effect 2
Chrono Trigger
Super Mario World
>Mass Effect 2
>not Mass Effect 1
ngmi
2 actually has fun gameplay and great individual stories, it's irrelevant to the series as a whole but who gives a frick as 3 is a waste and 1 is just KOTOR.
>1 is just KOTOR
Its bioware's true sequel to kotor before they gave up and started making full on shooter slop.
Absolutely correct and I don't think we go anywhere beyond this beyond blowing eachother.
But that makes ME2 at least it's own thing that succeeded at being a top tier third person slop shooter. Hell I rate it highly just for three companion quests and directly punishing players for not taking the "Half your crew was kidnapped" threat seriously.
Well fine I guess if you like that sort of thing but big personal quests being pretty much the only optional content (at least I don't remember any others except dlc) made the game feel really lacking content wise. Imagine if all bg2 had was the main quest and personal quests.
>1 is just KOTOR
KOTOR wishes it was ME1.
>BG3
>Perfect
>let alone a masterpiece
Casing the joint and sabotage at soulforge are kinda meh
Age of Empires II
it's unfair but Fable 1, it's a 10/10 perfect game if you play the original Xbox exclusive, not the Lost Chapters version.
terraria
sims 3 would be if it didn't have save file issues that will eventually happen
oh and THUG2 on ps2
ocarina of time and i dont give a frick, also maybe ds3 or mh3
Many games I'd consider a 10, none I'd consider "perfect"
>homosexual moron doesn't know that the maximum amount of 10 is in fact 10
I myself ascribe to the idea that a 10 is a game that does everything it sets out to do in exemplary fashion and leaves a lasting impression on me. For me a 10/10 game is DMC3, or MGS3, RE4, or more recently RDR2. I could very easily point out inconsistency or outright error in design if pressed to. But I think they are simply remarkable and do better on things in ways nothing else have.
>or more recently RDR2
is that game really that good? I can't tell, because I very much dislike movie games, but if it's a "moviegame" the same way moron think Death Stranding is a movie game (and I mean the EXACT same way) then it might be worth checking out.
RDR2 is the most impressive game I have ever played, Rockstar had a massive budget and went all out. If you enjoyed death stranding don't worry about not enjoying RDR2, the game has plenty of gameplay. If you like westerns it's a must play, it's very long western that you can choose your own pace for.
if you think a game is not perfect then it is not 10 out of 10 (also known as "perfect")
if you give a game a 10 and do not consider it perfect, then you just don't fricking know how numbers work
all of the problems with universal grade scoring are exactly because of stupid fricking homosexuals like you
My scale goes to 11.
>haha! I'll deflect with a meme!
truly the pinnacle of intelligence
That way of thinking is total structuralist bullshit and doesn't make any sense. Games have the potential to be more than the sum of their parts. Approaching a game with a checklist of things it should do is fricking moronic.
Probably super metroid
tbh Def Jam: Fight for New York
I can't really think of anything it would legitimately benefit from having added or from having removed
Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden
God of War 2 and 3
PoP Sands of Time
Tie Fighter
Abe's Exodus
Subnautica
Idk about perfect but Bloodborne is a masterpiece.
I seriously do not understand the praise for Mad Men. Just another Breaking Bad to me where I don't understand the hype.
Atleast with Wire, if you only watched Season 1 and 2, I can sort of understand the hype, but the show gets worse with every season. With Mad Men, the show is like the same boring stagnant shit for like 3 reasons, where it feels like nobody is ever doing anything, and whenever people say anything, it feels like they're deliberately cutting it short.
the supporting cast grows over time but don is kind of cyclical in his vices. in exchange for development you get insight as to why he's so fricked up. he does grow as a character by the finale but i agree it's a tad slow. still, the show constantly is poignant and affecting in my opinion.
that's not quite my problem. it's not about a "lack of character development". I think that House S1-4 are unironically the best television ever. And not only is he deliberately an unchanging character, and that's the entire point. But the show is episodically structured and I hate episodic shit. House is just different, there's something subtle there that it does right, that got to me. I don't see that with Mad Men. It feels stagnant, not just character wise, but thematically.
The closest thing to "getting to me" like House, was Chernobyl. None of the other often critically acclaimed shows even come close to those 2 for me. Not even close.
I am currently liking the Sopranos a decent bit right now though. Mostly due to the psychology shit, and I love psychology.
House is literally just detective conan with doctors
Mad Men suffers to me from not having a character I really like or enjoy seeing. They're all unscrupulous, unhinged, egomaniacs and I don't really want to see any of them. I just gave up on watching it because I felt they were all too unlikeable.
Breaking Bad I think is a fantastic show. But it confuses the shit out of me that this show seems to trick people into thinking it's genius. Tony Soprano has more character development in one single dream than anyone in the show but I keep getting told that every character is this rich tapestry of nuance. That everything is somehow so realistic, but then at the same time so symbolic all the time. That the characters are amazingly deep but yet I can't even tell you if any of them are religious or even if they eat food. I could tell you the favourite meals of the crew, and better yet I can tell you in the narrative of Sopranos that hell is a very real place and yet you never once see it.
Youre probably just a beta because you cant relate with the men in mad men
>using astrology for men
>calling anyone a beta
lmao lol even
>and better yet I can tell you in the narrative of Sopranos that hell is a very real place and yet you never once see it.
what does this mean? I only just started season 2, but I don't care. spoil me.
You'll be getting to it, but besides the heavy religious imagery pay attention to Tony's dreams. Pay close attention to conversations they have about the subject of religion and then also look at the weird shit that happens. Like Christopher talking about meeting his dad in a coma.
There's a very surreal bent the show has that will at times border on the supernatural. And that's something that other shows fail to do while also being so deeply entrenched in realism.
>And that's something that other shows fail to do while also being so deeply entrenched in realism.
I feel like House did it decently well, all things considered.
? The first two seasons of the Wire were a slog. S3/4 are the only reason to watch the show.
You didn't miss much. Mad Men gets pretty good somewhere in the middle-late-middle but the final season is a terrible send off with every character getting undeserved easy wins.
s2 of wire is the docks right? that was great. 2 3 4 is the highlight of the series.
M AR I O
GALAXY ONE AND TWO
Perfect Dark 64, Starfox 64, Skyrim
the final race series with the open wheel cars sucked
could never finish it because of that
Guitar Hero 2. Or Galaga.
Bioshock 1 & 2, OG Dead Space 1 & 2, and of course Alien Isolation. All those games are just about perfect in every way regarding their respective genres. Like, I would say...Alien Isolation is the BEST sci-fi survival horror game of all time, and arguably the best movie-based gaming experience. Also, special shout out to DmC (2013 reboot). I know it got A TON of hate but it was the BEST Devil May Cry of all time, even better than the God of War games, and the replay value was crazy. I must've played DmC (2013) at least 3-4 times in a row back in the day through various difficulties. And then you have the imperfect classics like Saints Row 2 (older graphics/environment but fun gameplay), and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (great replay value & difficulty but outdated graphics). That's the worst about fun games...they get old over time & their "look" diminishes, despite the 'fun factor' still being very high (and still better than most modern games).
Sekiro.
brood wing UMS maps in solo mode
I hate soulsgays but bloodborne is pretty close to perfect
Bloodborne
>TBS with deep management mechanics
Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword (probably some mods too included) (PC)
>TBS
Advance Wars: Dual Strike or Dark Conflict (tie) (NDS)
>RTS
Starcraft 2 (PC)
>TBS RPG
South Park: Stick of Truth (PC)
Legend of Legaia comes second. (PS1)
>replayable roguelike
Death Road to Canada (PC)
>stealth tactic RTS
Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines (need to finish the expansion and other games to rate them properly) (PC)
>music and fight
Bust a Move 2 (PS1)
forgot to mention XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Fancy seeing you here numget.
Numgets are everywhere. You just gotta look for them.
There are a lot of games i consider masterpieces, but in terms of actual perfection Tetris is the only one that comes to mind. Tetris is to video games what chess is to board games.
resident evil
super metroid
broodwar
ikaruga
doom
tetris
third strike
point blank
mariokart ds
zelda
rocket league
heroes of might and magic 3
yoshi's island
weaponlord
wild guns
exapunks
I replayed RE recently and was pleasantly surprised by how much of an actual master piece it still is.
>point blank
That game with the two muppets on the cover?
point blank is the best shooting parlor game that also had a console release.
THere's probably room to argue that duck hunt was more influential or that time crisis 2 was more substantial, but point blank is more replayable and satisfying than either. Honorable mention to ghost squad which was also pretty sweet but ultimately not as fun as point blank
kek I'm a moron all this time I thought it was a warioware style variety game. Sounds up my alley though I'll give it a shot some time.
Atelier Totori
Mass Effect 2
Yeah
pubg
Smash Ultimate is to me the perfect fighting game. A ludicrous amount of characters and stages, all very high quality. Tons of single player content, tons of multiplayer options. Fun casually and competitively. Low skill floor bt high skill ceiling. I don't know how you make a better fighting game and it feels like the next Smash can only be different, not better.
Bad picture so thread doesn't deserve an answer.
Sopranos is for pseud white suburbanites who love wu tang and radiohead
Sekiro hands down.
>show called mad men
>women are the target audience
Why do they do this
Donkey Kong Country 2
Vagrant Story is probably the only one.
Objectively:
>Chrono Trigger
My personal opinion:
>Okami (best game ever made)
>Jet Set Radio Future
>Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
>Baldur's Gate 2 (not including ToB, frick that)
I can probably think of more but that is what comes to mind.
