With horde survival games like Halls of Torment, vampire Survivor, etc getting popular I was wondering if there are any mods that have a horde mode like that for Diablo 2? I like those games but would prefer the polish of D2.
Private servers solved any shortcomings of the game a long time ago. The only reason to play the remake is to play online with a controller. If you aren't even playing Resurrected online with a controller then you're doing it all wrong. All wrong.
You are correct, they made it so you can just vacuum loot with a controller before it even hits the floor. Better off just farming solo in a full game, or multiboxing. They somehow made playing with others even more cancer.
Can someone explain how content in Diablo 2 works? I only play RPGs with little to no grinding that are generally under 50 hours long and ARPGs like Diablo are a bit foreign to me. So it's crazy when I hear that people have played such an old game like Diablo 2 for literally thousands of hours. Does the game really have thousands of hours of content? What are they doing in that time?
Chase higher numbers.
Basically run bosses over and over again for a chance to have them drop THE perfect weapon / armor pieces / charm to maximize their build.
In part modding, in part clearing N/N/H, in part playing online where drops worthless to you still had value in the form of trades or player-made currencies.
Ladder accounts for a lot of hours too (everyone starts at character creation)
Yeah, it's not afflicted by online drm.
