No, which is why you should never trust one that looks like an old crone. She's either incompetent or some monster in disguise that doesn't understand human beauty standards.

Very unlikely, unless you mean "one dedicated autist with access to a dozen H100s will be able to animate the fanfiction he's already created." Assuming we don't get any further breakthroughs, and I hope we don't for all our sakes.

Hollywood hasn't been concerned about making profitable movies for years. Why should we be any different?
The whole point is they have intentionally make themselves ugly because they are sick of being objectified, also why they live out in the woods. They hate people they're misanthropes, they want you to go away.
Turn it around and ask, why would a wizard not make himself young and gorgeous?
But if you're writing different kinds of witches, here are a couple of ways it can go:
-They can't or won't. Like there is some price attached they're unwilling to pay, or requires a level of skill they do not possess.
-They only change their appearance, through magic, illusion, transformation or some other means. When they do this it is as a means to an end, usually involving deceiving or tricking someone else.
-They can but no longer care. Crone witches are skilled enough in magic that they are able to, but also have enough life experience that they no longer desire it.
In general, when you encounter a young witch you are either dealing with an apprentice witch or are being deceived into doing something. The hotter they are, the more likely they're the latter.
When you encounter an old witch you are likely dealing with someone who can no longer be bothered, has lots of experience dealing with people like yours, and has a counter for everything you're likely to try.
>In general, when you encounter a young witch you are either dealing with an apprentice witch or are being deceived into doing something.
It depends. Are you in a Ghibli film?
They didn't study the appropriate lore to do so?
I can't imagine every witch knows every spell and charm, nor can I imagine every witch would learn beautification.
Young alchemists have it as a matter of rudimentary education though.
Yknow since I rarely come here and spend much more time on Ganker a thread having AI and not immediately getting 500 replies of kys is really weird to me
>they didn't spam them
I've seen the same dozen or so AI witches, dark fantasy, and weird puppet shit "movie stills" posted nonstop for a couple of months now, ever since a specific AI 80s movie thread. Some small group of frickwits saw them and have been obsessed with pushing them as moronic thread starters and posting them in literally every fricking Halloween thread.
Her magic. She does what the hell she wants with it. Including increasing her lifespan.
It would be a tad different if she'd want to have kids or if she already has them and it would be pretty awkward if her firstborn looked very old while she is still in her mid 20s.
You haven't posted my favorite girl from The Witches (2038) my favorite 1980s movie. It's a classic, right up there with Turbokid (2015) 80s movie set in the future of 1997. Back to the Future (1989) is my favorite 1950s movie if that says anything.
My hag witch tried, but couldn't. She went for the body stealing method, but her daughter had powerful warding magic that guarded her soul and mind. Out of pure spite, the witch went for a more direct method via necromancy, chopping off her daughter's head and attaching her own to the still-living body.
Does it defeat the purpose of acquiring youth? Yea, but she don't give a frick, she's youthful below the neck, close 'nuff. She's considered using illusion magic to disguise her head, but has found she revels in the blatant disparity. Has magically preserved her daughter's head and keeps it as an arcane focus totem.
I guess it would vary from setting to setting, but I think making a gruesome arcane focus is far different than soul manipulating bullshit. That being said, the idea of her lying about that and just wanting an excuse to go for the more crude option is in line with being a viciously petty witch.
She got very fricking close, but dumb.luck won out. The campaign ended before any conclusion could happen but I imagine she'd probably eventually been killed by the offspring she popped out with the hijacked body. Less for heroic reasons, more for witch b***h business.
All young witches are old wizards larping as them. The younger they are, the more creepy the wizard is.
And the old wizards you see? Witches who want to be left alone.
witches get cursed with ugliness everytime they get a power-up. the stronger the witch, the uglier she is. it begins with warts and bad skin. it gets worse with time.
For the same reason why wizards look like wrinkly old men that wouldn't be able to lift a sword. They are just so ridiculously powerful and ancient that for them looking young and athletic is a pointless endeavour. Witches probably are too absorbed by their work to even care about what men think of them, considering how most live secluded from society as well
Because she'd be denounced and burned at te stake for being a witch.
What if she's just a normal beautiful woman, you ask? Same shit, there's no shortage of spiteful ugly hags who'd happily get rid of the competition/walking self-esteem remover.
Sure, she can't. Time is more powerful than shitty hedge magic. The best she can do is put on an illusion to look hot, but if you squeeze that titty it will feel like a deflated pancake.
Young? Yes. Cute? No. Beautiful? Yes.
But mostly, it's about using her magic powers to get the questing knight to love her, even without her 'makeup' on. Love Potions and Charm Person, not Alter Self.
Yes, very old webcomic with all the amateurism they had at first, cliché start, poor paneling, unnatural discussion...
But I still find its worldbuilding quite interesting.
Actually justifying:
- recluse hyper advanced elves with actual gods absent aliens
- human church-empire with a god artificial magical construct
- ninja-monk warriors learned a trick to slow time
- gunslinger country who took another direction
- recluse advanced magitech human flying city accidental time travel survivors from golden age era
- crazy faeries poor job description for thousand of years
And holding that together was quite impressive.
A shame it will never truly close the mysteries left open
not unlike how wizards can appear as wizened old greybeards or young, spry 30-year olds, or even mummy-like dessicated husks depending on who they want to frick with
She does not give a frick.
100% this, especially considering you probably have to buy components or whatever for the spells, spend time casting, and it wastes your mana...
No such woman has ever been born.
Witches are not women as we know them, such is their blessing and their curse.

Most witches do. Illusion is basically the core feature of hags as an encounter in D&D.
If magic doesn't work like that in whatever game you're talking about, that would be a pretty good reason not to do that.
No, which is why you should never trust one that looks like an old crone. She's either incompetent or some monster in disguise that doesn't understand human beauty standards.
shut up, keep posting sorceresses/witches
Because witches and wizards cultivate the wizened look to come across as more knowledgeable than younger witches and wizards.
Magic is a profession of experience.
Because she already had children who never call her on the orb so she doesnt need to care about her looks.
So how long before this thread just turns into pervs lusting over Emma Watson again
Her hubby is into gilfs
She's already young and cute.
What's impressive to me about this series is that they're able to have a couple "actresses" that are remarkably consistent.
What series? I'm in love with those puppets

Not gonna lie, i was 100% certain this was AI art until the other anons claimed it wasn't
And you believed them?
The whole point is they have intentionally make themselves ugly because they are sick of being objectified, also why they live out in the woods. They hate people they're misanthropes, they want you to go away.
Maybe use of power has a price.
Also, maybe she wants people to take her serious in a way that won't work if they're young and pretty.
That skull has good taste.
Missing material component.
Witches using their power to make themself appear youthful and beautiful is one of the biggest tropes associated with them, nogames.
Did you mean to list some examples of when this isn't the case?
There's no magic for that.
Because frick you, homosexual.
>power
Magic is stored in the breasts
Witches are evil sadistic freaks and they enjoy causing discomfort with their appearance
AI CNNY
>Is there any reason why a regular person wouldn't use beauty products and exercise to make him/her young and cute?
Turn it around and ask, why would a wizard not make himself young and gorgeous?

Enjoy your warts. I bet you've never even tasted mercury.
Fear of getting plapped and impregnated
Yknow since I rarely come here and spend much more time on Ganker a thread having AI and not immediately getting 500 replies of kys is really weird to me
Ganker are understandably insecure. fa/tg/uys just want easy pretty images to inspire gaming and use for reference at the table
It also helps that most of the images posted were high quality and they didn't spam them, which usually isn't the case.

Witches make themselves look like crazy old men to be left alone.
Wizards (male) are the ones make themselves look like hot babes.
>male wizards are Ganker trannies
It all makes sense now
god damn it
he's right
Is there any reason why a wizard wouldn't use his magic powers to make himself young and cute?
>Is there any reason why a witch wouldn't use her magic powers to make herself young and cute?
Fear factor.
Being able to pull age rank.
Being underestimated.
Her magic. She does what the hell she wants with it. Including increasing her lifespan.

If you give that much of a frick about what other people think of you, you do not possess the qualities to be a witch.
My hag witch tried, but couldn't. She went for the body stealing method, but her daughter had powerful warding magic that guarded her soul and mind. She got very fricking close, but dumb.luck won out. The campaign ended before any conclusion could happen but I imagine she'd probably eventually been killed by the offspring she popped out with the hijacked body. Less for heroic reasons, more for witch b***h business.
Because evil witch magic doesn't work this way unless it comes at the cost of a sacrificed child.
Remember
All young witches are old wizards larping as them. The younger they are, the more creepy the wizard is.
And the old wizards you see? Witches who want to be left alone.
She might not want to.
Maybe she finds it easier to be taken seriously when she's not a hot chick, or maybe she just wants to be left alone.

They have a lot of blood, Miriam.

She's not likely to indulge your tween fap fantasies.
Doesn't want to waste mana/spellslots/concentration on it
She likes making people uncomfortable with her hideous appearance
Because youth potions might be a bit problematic.
Haha are already cute grumpy old ladies. And yes I would inseminate them. Baba Yaga is gilf.
