Given how heavily they push the bond between trainers and humans, to the point the first game outright said the rival lost because he didn't fully trust his pokés compared to the player and the recent affection boosts (implying a pokémon with deep affection tries harder, thus a pokémon that loves its trainer or sees them as their mate will be stronger again), you cannot disuade me of the notion most trainers end up losing their virginity to their pokémon of opposite genders that they'vbe sufficiently bonded with.
Between that, the Froslass shenanigans in PLA, the Sinnoh folk stories, the clear acknowledgment from the anime that Gardevoir and Lopunny are lusted after and the increasing number of very human bipeds, there's definitely some tomfoolery at play.
Definitely doesn't help with things like Gardevoir canonically becoming very attached to it's trainer or the final evo grass cat being very clingy to it's trainer.

I don't think it's like that or people like Cyrus wouldn't exist. I think pokemon is still dystopic, just being depressed is much harder there where you can befriend or brainwash a magical creature which will do things for you. There's a plotline/sidequest in Gen 7 I think it was about how a bunch of eevee trainers never achieved their dreams and settled into boring and miserable normal lives and you go around and beat them up. The reason the world looks so bright and rosy is because you are a 10-14 year old with the kind if supreme talent that you can live off of pokemon training, and all your friends can find a way to make a living off of pokemon too. For the Youngster Joeys of the world, the brightness and joy probably fade when they turn 18 and are now expected to pay their own way through life.
She was also going to audition to be an idol together with two of her friends when she was a kid and gave up going with her crush because of it. Then in the end her two friends got accepted while Jessie was left with nothing.
She says herself that she was poor when she was little and the reason why Jessie’s mom worked for TR was because she wanted money so Jessie could have a better life. Also it’s a pretty obvious contrast of James being rich while having parents that don’t care about him and Jessie being poor with no parents but her mother did care.
Burnet as the other anon said and one of the NPCs you visit the ferris wheel with in gen 5 always talks to you about her progressing pregnancy and how she feels about expecting a child. Don't know her name though.
