I’m trying to avoid save states but I can’t help but feel like I’ll end up breaking that personal limit as the game ramps up because I’ve heard some of the later maps get pretty hairy
don't use any power ups until you grind anyone you can grind with 100% certainty they won't die at the gladiator dome thing. Do this until you reach a playtime of above 30 hours. Also, the game's RPG mechanics are jank as frick. Seriously, randomized stats is a pretty lame way to try to give your game some sort of play. Otherwise the game would be entirely linear. I think the whole franchise sucks.
Lyn is the intro of the game and serves as a tutorial. On subsequent play throughs you can skip it. Some people hate the initial story but I enjoyed it
I just feel like it's too boring for people who aren't completely new to strategy games, even IS knew it could be tiresome since they let you skip it by linking another GBA with fe6
Using Rescue with one unit and then take -> drop with a second unit enables a huge amount of micro. There's also the slightly unintuitive trick of using Trade to switch another unit's equipped weapons after attacking, like if you stab someone with a Silver Lance you can trade them and have them equip a Javelin for the enemy phase.
There are a bunch of gamebreaking tricks as well but those two are FE 101 and knowing them will greatly increase your enjoyment without compromising the experience.

(me)
Oh yeah, also another good one to know is that torches and thieves' night sight are additive, so if you use a torch on a thief they end up seeing like half the map in fog of war chapters
horsies good
flying good
1-2 range good
sword-locked, foot-locked bad
Why do fe ds remake ones are so hated? Should I Skip those?
TLDR if you beat Shadow Dragon once or twice, you kinda don't feel like going back to it unless you're a H5 autist.
I haven't played New Mystery but Shadow Dragon isn't bad, it's just archaic. it feels like an NES game with shitty DS graphics. ascetically, the character art style is too basic-bitch, and the in-game graphics look bad on purpose because they were going for a vague (non-detailed) look for some reason.
Was it really that hard to search the catalogue for the three other fire emblem threads?
You need to give at least one of the 3 lords a lot of XP throughout the game or else the final boss will rape you. Maybe I just had bad luck with stat growth but seriously that final boss fight took me like 6 attempts
Not even close. There's also Conquest, Engage that are flat out better, the Tellius games that are arguably better too, PoR being a better game to teach you the mechanics without an intrusive tutorial. It ranks at around Awakening Tier.
>Binding Blade
99% of the maps are seize and Roy is dogshit until the end of the game. Also no one is going to get the real ending and final chapters unless they look up a guide
I find playing this and going straight to Binding Blade to be a great difficulty curve not too unlike Path of Radiance to Radiant Dawn, which you could also do but the games are slower.
You could also play Sacred Stones but that shit feels too much like the 3DS games with how base easy it is.
Is there a good translation of this? Not buying the game. I read this one by Polinym is mostly good but he fricks up names and also rants about anime or something in game
I played 4 first and still think it's the best one.
7 aka op was just more fire emblem, not bad but doesn't do anything particularly special, may as well just skip ahead to the more polished newer games like 3 houses or PoR or just switch to playing unicorn overload
yes
there's really no need to continue reading this thread just go play it
any tipz or trickz?
units die when they are killed
nothin a save state can't fix

Its glorified waifubait rock paper scissors anon. You don't needs any tricks to beat it.
Get an online 100% save so you can skip Lyn mode
qrd?
Get off Ganker and play the damn game.

That man is a certified actual moron or a zoomer. Ignore him completely.
It’s a decent refresher imo. I hadn’t played a fire emblem in over a year so it was nice to have a little crash course in the series again.

I'm not reading all that.
I remember thinking about the rescue trick purely because I got frustrated at low MOV units slowing down my advance

Use mounts, remember terrain bonuses, and checking enemy ranges. There, you've now completed Fe7.

Luna, a dark magic tome, is insanely busted and can kill anything if you double or crit, even the final boss
If you get really stuck on your first run after too many deaths, slap it on Athos and he can solo.
Start with 3
Does anyone want to see my unit?
Yes and then play Path of Radiance after
Yes, afterwards 0 (the best) 6, then 1, then 4, then leave the franchise forever.
This, and also Tear Ring Saga on PS1. It’s literally Fire Emblem, to the point where Nintendo sued them for making it.
what is 0
I'm new
it actually is. It's actually made with that in mind since its the first one to leave jp.
Play this, Tellius duology, then skip to Kaga kino in the form of 3-5, them Tear Ring and Berwick Saga
after you’ve played all those play Vestaria Saga
yeah, its good, decent length, good gameplay, lots of cool units, okayish story
you even get your very own tutorial waifu
Yes and no. Yes because it's made with new players in mind. No because it's the peak of FE and you'll be disappointed by the other games.
>No because it's the peak of FE and you'll be disappointed by the other games.
Kek
Nta but he's almost right. There are only a few better games. Binding Blade, Genealogy, Thracia? That's about it.
Not even close. There's also Conquest, Engage that are flat out better, the Tellius games that are arguably better too, PoR being a better game to teach you the mechanics without an intrusive tutorial. It ranks at around Awakening Tier.
Thracia, PoR and Radiant Dawn, Conquest, Engage. Should only play these

feel free to promote units around level 12/15, there isn't much advantage to waiting longer than that.
