There is ZERO fapbait in this game aside form Ryza´s outfit, there is no fanservice otherwise, the fact Ryza is attractive is not even brought up at all during the game.
The closest thing to that is an npc who comments on "how much Ryza has grown", but that´s it.

i wish they let you play on the highest difficulties from the beginning because these games shine when you're incentivized to push the crafting to its limits at every stage of the story

All the Atelier series has a very chill story so don't expect anything interesting. In the old games, you get a lot of time management.
Ryza doesn't have time management and because of that, I didn't like the gameplay that much, it lacked strategy.
