Anyone? Can someone please form my opinions for me? Dont make me think for myself
>Can someone please form my opinions for me?
Alright, just play archolos instead, elex is trash.
It's somehow worse and clunkier, but chances are you'll still like it because you're a fine appreciator of eurojank.
This
Also, world seems emptier than 1, there's no cool secret to uncover
how disappointing
In my opinion not a perfect game, but pretty decent. Graphics look good, some side quests are nice, rewarding progression.
Best feature is still the jetpack though, especially when flying horizontally. If you like Piranha Bytes games, you should play it
You have no idea how much I wish someone would mod Elex 2's jetpack into Elex. It comes so close to being perfect.
Yeah, playing Elex 1 after Elex 2 makes you realize how much they improved the game, the graphics, the camera position and the jetpack. Also the combo damage system in Elex 1 was a shit idea
i stopped playing because of how bad the performance was, despite looking worse than the first game in some aspects
going off of how clunky Gothics 1 & 2 were I will say no. I still wish them the best and know some folks, like Sseth, don't mind the jank.
They aren't clunky, the control scheme was still used for other PC games in the early 2000s such as TES Redguard and the Core era Tomb Raider games.
Gothic 1 and 2 are pretty old games now. Of course they feel clunky today lol.
Also imagine being moronic enough to say a developers current game is bad because they made games with clunky controls 20 years before
You might. I loved the first and had a good enough time with the sequel, but if I were to replay one I'd pick the first one every time.
Is it necessary to finish the first one? I dropped it after I found out that the 3 factions you have to pick are just cringe
The combat was trash and the jetpack couldn't carry the rest of the game
It's a direct sequel, but honestly, nah. I can't imagine having a good time with the game if you didn't like E1 though.
Heard a lot of mixed things about this. Some say it generally improves on the first and others say it's a downgrade. Who is more right?
It's a one step forward two steps back kind of deal. They spent so much of their attention on addressing some of the first game's shortcomings that everything else suffered for it.
What gets improved and what suffers for it?
the quests in the latter half of the game are quite bad, just kill 100 of this creature over and over. as well, the companion quests are all copy pastes of each other. its not a terrible game but its definitely worse than elex 1
