No experience with the first two but I’ve never really had much issue with Amiga? Runs fine on my changheld and on batocera, although controls can be awkward sometimes (same with c64)
FM Towns you can emulate on PC using Tsugaru or something similar. I've emulated Amiga before myself (specifically CD32) on Android but I wasn't very impressed with the game selection on it
Those are fine. FM-7 is like any other early home PC (but Japan :O) where the worst issues you might run into are related to you not having the manual/case and thus not knowing how to load your game, at least in my experience. I do find Towns and Amiga have some similarities in set-up woes but you just need to hunker down and get how those systems work for a bit. Of course that's a bit easier for Amiga as that has a larger amount of English resources, but if you are looking into FM Towns, you probably have loads of free time.
Yup, indeed so.
nteresting fact: the Fujitsu FM-7 got officially released not only in Japan, but also in Spain.
MSX also saw release outside of East Asia, Not only in Spain, but also in the Netherlands, and for a time in certain parts of France.
Mednafen/Beetle Saturn is the first really decent Saturn emulator, and it's the go-to choice in most cases and Yabause actually has some semi-decent forks now.
N64 with Simple64 lets you play with perfect visual accuracy and has a stupid-easy GUI. Stop repeating dumb shit.
>N64 >Good
N64 outside of the popular 20 or so titles is shockingly bad. Astounding how unnecessarily complex the fricking thing is that after all this time it's still a bafflingly black box.
In theory, yeah. But the emulators are coded like shit and need a modern botnet computer with OpenGL these days.
Personally I don't bother and emulate Atari 800, Amstrad, and Speccy instead.
The Internet Archive has a built-in C64 emulator. You can run software right in your browser.
Yes. The VICE emulator is pretty easy to use.
The FM-7, FM Towns, and Amiga on the other hand...
Incredibly easy

Ok then, got it.

It's a 40 year old 8bit 6502 based machine, it is.
Now if only somebody besides the MAME team would emulate the Bally Astrocade...
What ISN'T easy to emulate in the 2020s? Serious question. (obviously not modern consoles)
CD-i emulation is still a shitshow
Saturn
N64
OG Xbox
Only the OG Xbox at this point. Saturn and N64 are perfectly doable, but people just keep being moronic about them.
nta, qrd on Saturn emu?

No its not? I did many games on it without issues, as long as you pick the right emulator and not some garbage from decades ago
how do u use keyboard for c64 using retroarch the keyboard interferes with the retroarch keys
There's a key for disabling keyboard shortcuts on retroarch. I can't remember what it is though because I don't use retroarch anymore.
Try that, first: Settings > Input > Auto Enable 'Game Focus Mode' > Set to 'Detect'. See if that helps.

LMAO all of those are fine. This isn't the 2000s anymore.
random LCD handhelds, WonderSwan's WonderWitch homebrew, Aquaplus Piece and various phones like N-Gage, Docomo iMode and Symbian
Wonderwitch is the only thing in that list that isn’t kusoge
Considering I can emulate it on my Win98 Pentium III system I'd say yes.
In theory, yeah. But the emulators are coded like shit and need a modern botnet computer with OpenGL these days.

And these?
I'm not sure what's the point of making your own emulator when VICE is already so good.
Yes. But why would you when you can run the improved version (TempleOS) in VirtualBox?
Don't know why it isn't brought up here, but the C64 Dreams pack is a great starting point for getting into this. It's uploaded directly to archive.
