Yes.
All you need to know is that your starting build should be practical. Don't put all your points into Research or some shit. Do a straightforward combat build, then branch out from there. PSI is also kinda weak early on, standard weapons are the most reliable.
Yes mostly, but there's some nice tweaks and texture mods that are worth the small amount of effort it takes. Also make sure you understand the difference between Repair and Maintenance.
damn right, I was looking forward to the remaster but in the end it kinda sucked, the OG is amazing and can never be surpassed but i still kinda like SS2, just think id enjoy it more if it was less RPGish
>game where you literally play as a literal l33t h4x0r >"what u mean i have to drag n drop a texture replacement file in the install folder? what the frick is a folder??"
a more apt example be >game where you play as a god who can create oceans on a whim >"pouring a glass of water is too hard, how the frick do they expect me to hold the glass AND turn on the tap?!"
if you were paying attention to the animations, then you would be surprised at how much you know
t. someone who really enjoys swordfighting in fiction and ended up being naturally good at kenjutsu because the forms and motions had been subconsciously drilled into me
>annoying modding
Just wait for the remaster, zoom.
>implying the remaster won't filter zoomers
1 is better in every way, no reason to play 2.
Yes.

Completely false.
let me guess you played 1's remake and 2 filtered you hard
I have no problems with it, It's pretty modern for the most part the only thing is inventory is kind of different but you'll get used to it fast.
ss1 is great but the sequel is leaps and bounds better. It has build variety, a much more interesting story and the areas are cooler.

Why you guys gotta be like this
2 is shit, 1 is shit, ultima underworld is shit, all ultima games are shit, play akalabeth because everything that came after that is shit

Stfu
this. with the remaster there is no excuse now not to touch it. Its superior even to the original

>game where you play as a god
>what do you mean you're not actually a god in real life
what are video games

That still sounds moronic anon. I've played multiple swordfighting games and I don't use a sword at all in real life. I know crazy right
if you were paying attention to the animations, then you would be surprised at how much you know

yes all the old engine fixes were added to the official versions years ago
Wait for the System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition to release (soon)
>soon
proof
When System Shock remake is releasing on consoles and patch 1.2 is coming which is early this year
I remember when we could have nice SS2 threads on Ganker
Seems like a lifetime ago
Ganker literally only gets worse, I thought it was bad in 2013 but that seems like nothing compared to how completely fricking trash it is now
pic related is the biggest cause in my mind
Top 3 eroge NOW
I finished a blind playthrough on Hard not too long ago and had a good time. The last couple of levels were pretty fricking gay though.
Yeah even back in the day people weren't super keen on the Rickenbacker
I didn't mod it the first time I played it like 5 years and it was fine. There are some great mods though, very dedicated community
>without annoying modding/pcgw tweaks?
???
GOG version just running OOTB
