it could be like what dota did with reborn where EVENTUALLY they moved over to only reborn (and eventually smite 2 will be the only option in this scenario) but it seems more like with the change they are making that they will leave smite 1/original up and try to get people to swap over to smite 2 on their own choices
personally I have mixed opinions smite, its not bad, but its not amazing, I will definitely give smite 2 a try at least though.
