Is this game as good as they say? I only played a bit of it but the gameplay felt rather slow, is the story good enough to compensate?

Isn't that game just an excuse for the author auto-masturbatory pro-abortion, pro-suicide, pro-euthanasia beliefs? Like there's an abortion inside the game and everything. I love indies but I wouldn't play a game with a story that justifies that shit
No idea, I just heard it supposedly had a good story, I can still take interest in things I disagree with if they are well made/written.
Was the baby brown?
Brown abortion is heckin neato
I too close my eyes plug my ears and start screaming like a histrionic woman the moment I encounter media that challenges me. No thanks! Gimme the next marvel movie!!! I need more safe, pre-chewed and regurgitated slop that reinforces what my echo chamber told me I believe in!
>passive aggressive feminine sarcasm
t. low t homosexual transexual
I'm not the one having a meltdown because a game has ideas in it that hurt my feefees you pathetic little homosexual. Did you also refuse to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance because the dev was a big ol' meanie?
>schizoid delusions
oofing yikeserino, my dude
An echo chamber doesn't tell you what to think, it's just a congregation of people who think the same thing. You seem dumb.
>what is a feedback loop
>what is peer pressure
moron
marvel fans are usually pro abortion doe
>anon labors under the delusion that being pro-abortion is niche and not the default position of our media class
In my observation Ganker is a big fan of suicide
so is the game actually pro etc-etc like says
i'm not sure whether that would bump it up or down my list of "to-play" honestly but i'd heard people saying it's opposed to nihilism so i'm just curious
>The characters in this work that I approve the most, or better say, that are closest to my ideology, are Vene and the Kursk family.
>I have touched on the subject in the story, but now I would like to talk briefly about one of their views on happiness.
>The world is a fleeting and impermanent place, and above all, it toys with people lives.
>For example, let's say that "something happy" happens.
>You'd congratulate it, right?
>But my case is different.
>The world allows people to experience happiness only to drive them into a pitfall of misfortune in the next moment, and enjoys seeing them wallowing in grief and spilling tears of blood.
>In other words, happiness is a trap.
>Therefore, as for me, I am not so optimistic that I can rejoice in happiness.
>Rather, I cannot help but be on the lookout for the misfortune that awaits me after happiness, for the trap disguised as an happy event that this world has set for me.
>I do not like smiling faces.
>The reason is the same as above.
>I can already see that a happy face will eventually crumble to dust and turn into a bloody-tears-stained mask.
>So for me, smiling face is a face empty and void of life.
from the games creator
>pro abortion moron is a pretentions nihilist
lmao
Use EasyRPG player and hold F to skip through the text as fast as possible.
Its shit then? if the text is best skipped then there isnt really much of a point.
How far did you make it in the story? The gameplay becomes more interesting when you face Virginie for the first time and really have to pay attention to the elements
Not very I'll admit, maybe I can give it another chance, but the story is actually as good as they said right?
Do you hate women?
Do you like drugs?
Do you have scat fetish?
Do you hate your life?
Do you hate USA?
Do you want to frick an autistic girl?
Do you want to frick your mother?
If all the answers are "yes", then play it.
I'll get right to it then.
>Do you like drugs?
>Do you want to frick an autistic girl?
>Do you hate your life?
Yes.
>Do you hate women?
>Do you have a scat fetish?
>Do you hate USA?
>Do you want to frick your mother?
No.
Should I still play it?
>as good as they say
Not really, but it's alright. Other jap indie RPGs such as Ruina, Hat World, Demon Kings Chronicle, Last Scenario, Master of the Wind, and even the still unfinished 11 years later Faraway Story are all better games than SeraBlue.
>Do you hate your life?
this is the main one, I'd say go for it.
Better as games, worse storywise though (aside from Ruina).
nah hes right, SB story is juvenile garbage except for the surprisingly mature epilogue and some scenes along the way.
Hat World falls off fairly hard story-wise at the very end but I agree on the rest
what jrpg is not juvenile garbage
The jailbreak and first bit of gameplay seems to filter everyone for how long it is and how stupid edgy it is
Yeah I guess so, I just wanted to know if it was worth getting through that part and it appears to be so.
I feel like every single person who has played the game recently just got walled by the same spot and then they just quietly forget about it
If we can be patient with the Persona 4s and the TWEWYs, we can also be patient with RPGmaker slop
I actually quite liked how the entire jailbreak part is seen in a different light once you learn the truth later in the game. Reminds me of the Xenogears intro in a way
>entire jailbreak part is seen in a different light once you learn the truth later in the game
You mean the boy meets girl part of it

I wish Rainy's music hasn't disappeared from the internets altogether with his sites.
Okay but where do I DL it? rpgmakernet seems to be ded.
Here's my "copy":
https://files.catbox.moe/rd4pvn.rar
There is an EasyRPG wrapper inside in case the native executable one doesn't work for you (green badge labeled "Player.exe").
>the boss charges up and on next turn uses like 10 different attacks on the whole party
Worth it for the godly music
Fun fact: the very first version of the game has a different ending where Vene gives birth to two children and starts loving life.
You can still find the scrapped string in the tombstone scene map data.
Ok prove it zigger
