I'm not ever installing EGS and I won't have my library split across game launchers. Don't care how many games EGS offers for free, I'll still buy them on Steam if I want to play them.
I wouldn't call it a great game by any stretch of the imagination but exploring spooky Tokyo is fun and the gameplay isn't awful. Story is so-so.
I got it in a humble monthly so it was fine. Definitely wouldn't recommend paying full price for it. $20 might be okay if you really like Japan.
it is good, it has a lot of pretty cool moments in the story, nice setpieces, but outside that in the free roam its just a lot of ubishit far cry-esque objectives (like activating all the radio towers, clearing out all the enemy camps, etc)
It's one of those games that you buy, play for 5 hours, let it sit on your account for years and eventually beat it 5 years later when youre bored out of your mind
20? no lol even if you don't count it been free on epic games yesterday, it's been cheaper previously. i think it might have been in those humble bundle things for like $6 with some other crap
For $15 you can get it and another game here
https://www.fanatical.com/en/pick-and-mix/prestige-collection-build-your-own-bundle
Stop buying games directly from steam, it's a good launcher for all the features, but the deals have been shit for years.
1) Use Fanatical or Humble Bundle to pad out your library with old games you missed out on or smaller games that look interesting
2) Use sites like CD Keys or Green Man Gaming to buy games you're eager to play day 1 for a nice 18% - 36% discount
3) Use sites like gg.deals to track historical low prices and to get directed to reputable 3rd party key sites that currently have the best deals on particular games you're interested in.
Before more confused morons misunderstand, I'll clarify. I advocate buying games FOR Steam, but not directly FROM Steam, unless you get redirected to Steam by a price tracker site because it currently has the best price. Buy steam keys wherever they're cheapest and REDEEM them in Steam. I go the extra step of not buying games that need two launchers on steam, opting to buy them on just the other launcher instead, but that's me, and I understand a lot of people would put up with two launchers to consolidate their libraries on one.

The game is pretty good. Lots of soul and a weaboo's dream. Tons of japanese lore, tropes and real life misticism. Has a glossary about all kinds of food, ghosts and shit. Gameplay is alright, not great. It's good enough to carry you through the game but not enough to stand out. I'd buy it only to suppirt the game because the devs very clearly had a lot of passion while making it and more games like these should exist
It's like ubislop for weebs, but it's actually rather enjoyable, it's specially nice if you're into Yokai and all that kind of spiritual otherworld Japanese stuff.
The game looks beautiful but it's legitimately one of the most boring games I've ever played. You need to have a giant boner for Japanese neon cities eastern spiritual mumbojumbo to get the most out of this game, I think. The gameplay loop and quest design can't carry this game so the aesthetics need to do it instead.
I wouldn't pay more than 10$ for it tbqh. Consider pirating it because I think this is one of those love it or hate it games.
It was free on EGS like yesterday.
I'd rather pay money to have it on Steam.

Uhh anon can you think of Timothy's feelings when you say shit like this? Not nice
Damn son, you moronic

Use Heroic launcher instead, moron

For $20 yeah. It can feel repetitive especially if you go for all the collectible souls hanging around but it's a cool game overall.
I claimed it on Epic store even though I pirated it day 1 and it sucked so I won't play it of course

It's a really bad game, horrendous even.

It had promise but it ends up being an open world check the boxes on the map kind of game.

Claimed it.

What did she mean by this?
Why are steamies so unhinged and unstable?
Picked up the deluxe edition on Amazon for $20. A little boring at times, but the gameplay is fun. It's basically Japanese Bioshock.

Guys can you please answer the OP on whether the game is good or not instead of defaulting to the steam vs epic shitflinging?
There's many posts that already have, are you blind?
Basically Far Cry in Tokyo. Not bad if you don't mind ubisoft collectathon game.
Got it on Epic yesterday. I only played for less than an hour but I could tell I was not going to enjoy it.
