tbh I always hated heroes in battlefront and the draw for me was being a trooper and using all the cool tech. being some homosexual jedi or sith running around for my epic 50 kill streak just ruins the idea of star wars for me when we watch them get gunned down like little b***hes in the prequels
The voices are fine, except for Anakin. The visual style was and always will be bad, but still not as bad as Rebels. It's all to save costs on rendering.

they changed that after the whole world complained, I don't remember if there's still mtx where you can buy credits, but it no longer effects gameplay or unlocks, (p2w) you can unlock all this stuff in game easily, iirc.
The push back this game got and how they got EA to bend over and change it will probably never happen again for an EA game or vidya in general. It was honestly refreshing to see something like this happen back then, now everyone just accepts it, granted it's not as ridiculous as this for most, but still.

it had the visual fidelity that I was imagining in my head when I played the old battlefront games as a kid, and the sound quality is top notch. I don't like that you had to spend points to use vehicles though, I preferred them parked and ready to be piloted.
It's good, but it's very different to the original two. Personally I prefer it over those, but I think you're better off just buying the original BF2 from GOG.
If you do play it, though, please do yourself a favour and play Ewok hunt. It's literally a Vietnam simulator and I love it.
play the 4 player coop and trash the ai. they hit in waves so sometimes you can get overwhelmed, but then pulling through is fun. triple xp wednesdays is still a thing i think and that can help if you feel like youre losing other modes cause of your level.
hero battle can be fun, and ive even had some lobbies where other people spectate one v ones.
the main mode is alright, but its so casualized and the perk cards are still awful. i keep it installed and fire it up every now and again to my gpu to work cause no other game i play needs a 6950xt.
you have an option to add bots and play fake multiplayer an thats all i do
The game was always OK, but the main draw is the Heroes vs Villians mode. I got hundreds of hours of enjoyment from that alone

you don't fight troopers in that mode its called HEROES VS VILLAINS moron. And its the best mode in battlefront 2
Its good. You can play against bots with three other players and gain experience for the cards. Only applies to land battles and not space battles.

pretty sure someone could mod together a 4p coop republic commando campaign, all the droids are in the game, and tons of assets
they really needed to do a mustafar map though
