I fricking love the entire Lords of Shadow trilogy. I honestly prefer it over any God of War. I should do a replay after upgrading my pc.

It is bad. It has some interesting art in the style of Guillermo del toro but the game play and levels have been awful

how so? The animation does seem a bit jank from some footage i have seen, the way the character moves around the levels specifically. It's like it's constantly bumping into the terrain and bouncing up and down.

I'm playing it now on hardest difficulty and it's pretty challanging, enemies are rather aggressive and you do need to pay attention to them. It's pretty fun, but it's probably the most linear game I've played.

No. The combat is fricking awful, It has no weight to it. The game drags on forever. The environments are nice though.

Nah, it's a waste of time. Not worth playing.
Compared to the other "cinematic" hack and slash games of the time it released, it was slightly better than Dante's Inferno, but not as polished as God of War III.
Check out Castlevania: Lament of Innocence if you want a better 3D Castlevania hack and slash.

The gameplay is alright, I just really like the story of 1. Also lament of innocence is also good.
It plays exactly like the original PS2 God of War. Story is decent. Also one of the main characters is voiced by and the entire game is narrated by Patrick Stewart. I enjoyed it. I don't recommend the sequel though.
Lords of Shadow is pretty good and very big. I liked the story, though it's quite spare with story elements.
Lords of Shadow 2 is bad and unsatisfying. It does the disappointing things LoS did and then also manages to throw out all the things that did well in favour of new bad things.
I thought it and the first DLC was fun. Second dlc sucked wiener. 2 sucks balls but the Alucard dlc was pretty damn good.

DLC was short from what I remember. The Reverie takes place a castle and has a few good puzzles. Resurrection dlc, pure shit. And doesn’t add anything.

The first one is a pretty good GoW clone. Really nice music.
The second one is extremely underwhelming. They really should've stuck to the formula instead of falling for the open world meme. Plus it really doesn't feel like you are playing as Dracula. And Alucard feels really forced into the game.
The 3ds game is just dogshit.
