The master strike should've been a mechanic that only a handful of boss-like enemies have access to.
Alternatively, there should've been a different mechanic that allowed breaking the master strike (possibly locked even further into the story to represent Henry's growth as a fighter).
The master strike is a very cool thing so it should be in the game but every brigand ever having access to it means that to fight "perfectly", i.e. without receiving damage, you MUST fight with master strikes only. Otherwise, you'll eat a master strike yourself.
It really drains the joy out of the otherwise very competent combat system as 95% of it becomes meaningless or downright detrimental.
Can I enjoy if I'm more into exploring, visiting castles, villages, churches and stuff, walking at night in the wood to take in the atmosphere etc etc? I'm not really installing for the combats. Can I at least take a bow and deal with fights from a distance?
It's the only truly right-wing game from the last 10 years. Doesn't matter if it's good; support the dev in order to stem the tide of leftist in our hobby.
Just finished it + all the DLC. 108 hours thereabouts. 8/10 game. Would be 9/10 if the combat wouldn't be so bad beyond 2v1 fights at most. A really immersive medieval RPG experience.
yes, if you enjoy learning about history. it's a slow burn but the attention to detail makes it worthwhile
find the highest stabbing-damage sword you can find and stab your way through everything, don't really need to learn the intricacies of the combat if you do

About 80ish. The game got pretty long in the tooth, but I wanted to do all the DLC for completion's sake.
