Yeah, nobody is going to put up with textureless blocks for much longer. It's kind of funny because it would have been a much bigger hit if they didn't go the Roblox route. As it turns out, having actual artists for your game matters, this is the end result if you just have a couple of programmers and a "gameplay director" make a game.
you are insanely out of touch if you think becoming a FOTM is a bad thing for an indie dev. the fact you take this game seriously and are comparing it to EA games shows the devs won.
I don't give a shit about developers. I just want good games and multiplayer games that last. Battlebit seems like it's going to be yet another flash in the pan indie MP game that we all forget about in a few months. If anything, it sounds like you're the one coping. I have no horse in the game.
Considering it's hitting 80k players as a paid game I seriously doubt it will die anytime soon. Forgive me, I'm used to playing games with less than 100 peak players so I don't understand the PLAYERCOONT obsession you people have.
I didn't say it wasn't successful though. But I'm loving your cope lmao
>noooo where's my grainy bump mapping and LOD pop in!!!!! us gamers won't stand for this!!
Battlebit is actually hideous and the visibility is very bad because of their design choices.

I thought the same thing about Mordhau but I was wrong. That game sank like a rock.
Depends on if they hire more developers to work on the game. Continued content is vital for a multiplayer game. Take CoD Vanguard or Battlefield 2042 for example. While being shit games certainly didn't help their playerbase, no substantial content of any kind murdered the retention of those few that remained
I don't think so - the foundation of the game is pretty good. Only thing that can kill it is them doubling down on banning people. People get banned in like every single game I play
who cares if it’s a fad? 15 bucks for a great weekend with friends is solid, some morons pay 5 times that to be miserable homosexuals and complain here anyway
like every game every released, it will eventually be left behind, and at most, will continue to be played by a solid group of sweaty tryhards that won't allow anybody that started playing after the fad ended to enjoy the game
Look man, with any older multiplayer game you have to accept you're going to lose the first 100 rounds you play. Learn to enjoy the uphill battle and you can play any game you want.
oh anon I was speaking in general terms, I particularly enjoy the almost vertical learning curve of old games filled with tryhards
I prefer it to destroying most people when I start playing a game day 1
I feel like you only learn and get better if you get destroyed
Yes.
What do you mean by that?

>this is the end result
selling 1 million copies is a pretty acceptable result if you ask me
Yeah, lots of flavor of the month games sold well and died fast.
What am I coping with?

>well, maybe it is successful, but it fit my definition of successful

i smell a cope here
>noooo where's my grainy bump mapping and LOD pop in!!!!! us gamers won't stand for this!!
>is still gaining players
>Ganker insists it's dying
I knew totk and diablo 4 would trigger Ganker but this one I did not see coming
I give it 2 more months

No unironically I haven't played games in months but I have a decent amount of hours in that game and I bought it last week.

I wish I knew why this game crashes my PC randomly at times.
indie game smol company pws understand ^w^
No idea, I haven't had a single crash much less any sort of bug so far in my 4 hours
It's the only modern Battlefield game, it'll stay around for a while.
This is a publisher's worst nightmare, fricking up things so bad clones start overtaking you.
Im gonna put at least 1000hrs in to this. currently at 50.
