No. It's a good souls game with its own serious issues. Chief among them is the atrocious framerate. Literally headache inducing at 18fps and makes it feel laggy for inputs as well.
>it's has it's own issues >le framerate
at least talk about the actual issues of the game
the framerate is less annoyoing than farming vials and moronic distances you have to cover every time you die to a boss
It's up to you. I bought a PS5 just to play it and, well...it was good, as I was expecting. I don't really regret the purchase, since there are still other games I wanna play, and I can definitively say that all the people still touting Bloodborne as From's best game are delusional. It's a great game though, mid-game is a very long stretch of shitty bosses though, with few exceptions like Ebrietas, all the way until Gehrman and the DLC.
Frick I forgot to add the dev chalice dungeons on my account! Frick. Plus it’s cool that you get randoms putting cut content in chalices that you can visit like a weird museum. It’s definitely the best part of the chalice dungeons.
Dark Souls 3 wishes it was BB
Bloodborne benefits from being created from scratch with a specific vision. It didn't have any rules or traditions from previous games it had to stick to, it could just be what they wanted it to be
It's if dark souls 3 was actually a good game. You have to play the dungeons to and be careful some are hacked. Overall blood borne has the strongest and most consistent themes of the overall world and everything just makes sense. It has the most secrets to I think I missed 2 big parts for like 2 years of playing 2 whole hidden world areas. I do like dark souls 2 just more for personal reasons but bloodborne art and lore wise is the best from software. To bad dark souls 1 only 1st half of the game is good. I do a run doing everything before the gargoyles. But still after new londo it's a drag to finish
>Bloodborne >Gravity Rush 2 >Shadow of The Colossus >The Last Guardian >Ghost of Tsushima >Wipeout Omega Collection >And some others exclusives >(Only if you care) TLOU Remaster that won't run like shit
Anyone who says that those are bad games (aside from tlou) does not, infact, play video games at all.
Not your taste? Maybe, but objectively they are not bad games.
I see plenty of reasons to get a ps4, you can grab complete editions of most of this shit for $10 at the nearest gamestop and ps4s are very cheap.
BB is a good game.
Gravity rush is a shitty tech demo for the ps vita. It was passable there, the sequel on ps4 was just dogshit all around. Every game you listed with the exception of wipeout is mediocre and the exact type of garbage I expect someone plays when they go around saying >gaming is le dead!!!
>concedes a point in favor of >points against boil down to 'its dogshit lel'
why even bother throwing your two cents in when they are smeared with snot, child?
Tough one, not sure for how much ps4s go these days. Definitely worth borrowing one from a friend.
I sincerely hope that one day these dicks bring it to pc so more people get to play this game.
Bloodborne has a unique look to it that reminds me of a bullshot beta trailer that you'd expect they'd turn more streamlined / minimalist and less artsy with the full release.
I guess it's because I'm used to FromSoftware games looking kind of cheap and oldschool compared to other games, and this one has much higher quality in general, like they're trying to impress investors with it. It has a tech-demo like feel even after all these years
I bought a ps4 for it as it was launching and was worried if it would be worth it
it was worth it
granted I did make use of the ps4 a bit more after that, but if it wasn't for bloodborne I would have never gotten one, and bloodborne was the only thing that made it worth it
its genuinely worth an entire system.
It’s the only reason I still own my ps4 well that and pt I guess but I would just wait it’ll get ported to pc eventually or emulated at least. You can’t play online unless you give sony money anyway.
In the grand scheme of it, it's an existential game in a world overrun with lycanthrope with deviations thanks to lovecraftian influance alongside other esoteric/occult inspirations.
While playing the game, you'll feel like you're in a gritty take of scooby-doo.
>Is it worth it to spend over 400$ to play victorian age dark souls?
No not even remotely. And people here laugh at monthly fees like in wow or pretend to be gigachads for pirating games. Absolutely moronic. Keep your money and buy yourself something nice, not that snoy crap
Do you like modern From games?
Do you like gothic and/or Lovecraftian horror?
If yes to both, then yeah, it will be worth it. If no, then it's a good game, but not THAT good
I mean, I'm pretty sure you can buy or even borrow a ps4 dirt cheap these days, you can even resell it after you're done with the game
It's the only from game I loregayged for mostly because instead of being a dead world that collapsed a long time ago when all the cool stuff actually happened and you're just there to see the remains of it. In Bloodborne the "collapse of civilization" you only read item descriptions about in the other games is going on THAT NIGHT and you get to be there for it. Always thought that was cool and how Yharnam's state degrades over the course of the game.
Also the trick weapons were way more fun than any other souls games weapons
kek no
i borrowed a ps4 from a friend and bought the game
dropped it after 1/3 because its just unplayable. usually ~20ish fps and everything is blurred >muh fever dream
frick off
filtered. It's only even bad frame pacing / 25fps at the beginning when you're running around the smoldering bodies and tons of architecture. The entire rest of the game except when you're seeing the same shit at the start of Old Yharnam is 30fps
that's a still image. Maybe show some testing outside of central / old yharnam. FPS drop can be triggered by specific particle and fur effects but they're not present for 99% of the time you're playing

>that's a still image
exactly. and the amount of blur already gives me a headache. its 100x worse when actually playing this game

That has nothing to do with FPS

exactly, its two separate problems (i already told you)
its the excessive blur PLUS the pathetic fps drops as soon as a dim candlelight appears in the distance.

The per object motion blur looks good and the FPS drops are almost never an issue. If you hate motion blur in general well too bad homosexual, go ahead and drop a great game over some trivial nitpick because you're a woman about graphics

as many times as you are willing to give the lil' baes their (you)bottle, my dear.
>do you like nu-From?
Yes. >do you not much care for or outright detest nu-From?
Probably not.
Honestly, if you have to ask with 2024 just around the corner.. I would bet 'No'.
Did you enjoy Dark Souls 3?
Would you prefer if it was bloody-fresh, thematically, and not the sad, messy culmination of a sad, messy series? (and I mean that as a compliment.. mostly)
Would you rather you and the things you hunt were on a more even footing? Perhaps.. even to your distinct and delightful advantage?
Would you like to be just a little faster; sleeker; less merciful?
Can you stand a substandard (quite poor, at this point in time) and not even always stable framerate, if for the sake of one of an exciting new company's best releases?
Does he look like a b***h?
Then YES. Buy a goddamned fiddy dolla console if you can find it- go up to whatever your friggin' budget allows, kid- get the DLC, and PLAY Bloodborne, already. God.

Weak brain
AIIIIEEEE I GOT A HEADACHE FROM THE FRAMERATE DROPS*
*occurs only at that part near the start of the game and swarms of rats in chalice dungeons

at least talk about the actual issues of the game
the framerate is less annoyoing than farming vials and moronic distances you have to cover every time you die to a boss
It's one of the best games ever made. I feel sorry for the people who will never play it.
They started calling the ps4 after it "bloodborne player"
if you dont mind 15 frames per second.
No, but if you happen to own a playstation console then obviously you should buy this game.
why has fromsoft neglected to update this game for new consoles?
I 100% believe JapanStudio threw out the source code and that's why we don't have a PC port yet
They probably did it with malice too since all their animations and frame data wash From’s.
It's up to Sony not From
blame sony for disbanding japan studio. and look what sony ended up to, a soulles corpo just like disney
Bloodborne is a sony IP, in the same way that demons souls is.
if you are a fan of Souls, yes. It's the best one
Nah that’s Sekiro
Meanwhile, the actual un-bullshotted game:
It's good. Not mindblowing amazing, but good. The game felt a little bit like a prototype of something greater.
I am a knuckle dragger when it comes to Souls games and even I have to admit it's absolute kino.
It's up to you. I bought a PS5 just to play it and, well...it was good, as I was expecting. >and I can definitively say that all the people still touting Bloodborne as From's best game are delusional
agreed. DS1 will never be topped. It's about second though, don't know how I feel about it compared to Sekiro.
What a good game it’s a shame I’ll never play it online again since I’m sick of Sony’s thuggery. Oh
Frick I forgot to add the dev chalice dungeons on my account! Frick. Plus it’s cool that you get randoms putting cut content in chalices that you can visit like a weird museum. It’s definitely the best part of the chalice dungeons.
its darksouls 3 w/ regenerating health

base ps4s are like sub 100 now and you can probably find a used copy around the 10-20 mark so yeah
>Bloodborne
>Gravity Rush 2
>Shadow of The Colossus

>Ghost of Tsushima

Depth 5 root chalices with three offerings are the embodiment of dungeon crawling.
So many funny (and frustrating) moments from those chalices, man.
no but if you're thinking about buying a PS5 because you're into final fantasy or some shit, it's a valid reason to pull the trigger.
if you’re in California you can borrow my ps4 pro if you want
Interoffice it to me.
Tough one, not sure for how much ps4s go these days. Definitely worth borrowing one from a friend.

It's good but not THAT good. Soulsborne peaked with DS1
>From peaked with Demon's and then BB, with Sekiro and Dark Souls in the *very* near distance
FTFY
not worth buying a console for
but far and beyond the best souls game as well as miyazaki's masterpiece
once it gets remade it'll be worth

It looked blurry, low resolution, no antialiasing and felt below 20 fps.

you can get a ps4 for

>wipeout omega (personal favourite),

all really good games
also MediEvil is pretty good. surprised its on out on PC yet
and Crash racing is a bit of a hidden gem not on PC.

It's one of the worst video games ever made. Don't get an 8th gen or 9th gen console.
Yes
It's Dark Souls. You've played it already.
it's the best souls game but not good enough to buy a whole console for.
nah it’s super short, there’s only like 8 weapons in the game and you’re only allowed to max one each play though. DLC is also pretty mid
