It's the best single experience I've had playing a Metroidvania game yeah
You can argue that the experience wasn't as good as other games in the genre in the way that a traditional Metroidvania should be but the moment to moment gameplay is really fun and the aesthetic is perfect
Like I probably had 11 hours of fun in Hollow Knight as well, but the other 10 were just me ambling around the map backtracking. Sure, maybe that's to be expected within the constraints of the genre, but I still prefer the straight stretch of 11 hours of fun that WOTW provided
How is it compared to the first one? The first one was fun but felt more interested in exploration on the easier side of things than anything else. Then it dumped you in those three sidescroller sections as a substitute for actual boss fights and turned into IWBTG, punishing you for every wrong step.
It actually had bosses to begin with. But there are still some escape sequences. Also they added(i don't remember 1st one having them, maybe i am wrong) races for unlocks where you had to beat a ghost ori.
Not imo, but it is good. I don't know how I feel about all the combat in the game tbh, I kind of liked the fact that the first game was basically just a platformer, and any enemies in it were more like obstacles to make your platforming harder rather than someone to fight.
Adding boss fights felt weird at first as well, but they handled it pretty well. I did miss the timed escape sequences from the first game though. At least they added those timed runs as side things.
No, it's not even close to Rabi Ribi.
No, and you know what I'm going to say is better.
homosexual knight?
Of course.
>more indie shit shilling
indie shit published and funded by Micro$oft and developed by dozens of people from all over the world
It's pretty goddamn amazing, although it's hard to say it's all around the best. It's certainly the most visually attractive, no contest.
It definitively has the best platforming and visuals of any Metroidvania. And arguably music
the genre is called hollovania now man
hollow knight is clearly a soulsborne
hollow knight is a soulsborne-metroidvania hybrid with clear wolfendoom elements
It's the GOAT 2D game

The first one is garbage, 2 is much better.

Metroid Dread is better. Spaniard nerds are better than your microshit funded and published games
sorry i thought this was a hollow knight thread. i saw the dark colors and purple and just assumed
I welcome the ongoing backlash against all Hollow Knight fans.

I don't know, but I'm very excited to play it next
