Not a pleb filter and not the worst shit ever, but disappointing, same as X5.
X4 is the only good X game

X3 wasn't that good. I'm fond of that game, but it was a mess.
It had distinguishing features unlike X2.
I know, the different Ride Armors and the Armor Chips are neat, but you don't have much room to use the first and they sadly ended being wasted potential. The Hyper Armor is the shit, tho.
Disagree, but to each his own. I liked that brought back features from X1 and allowed you to be extremely powerful or not. The music was extremely kino as well. I can't decide whether I like it more than X2, though.
2 sucks dick, stages are ass and has no good bosses besides agile. People wank it hard as X: Part deus, but it lacks what made X great, good level design. I've had more fun even with X3 collectaton business

X6 is terrible unless you download the tweak. Then it's honestly the 2nd best X game.
Still doesn't excuse the laundry list of fricking moronic design choices, though.

the virus boxes are worse than those two
the mavericks are mostly okay but there's still shit ones. a lot of them are just stationary projectile spam, probably because capcom couldn't finish animating physical attacks

Woah, the stages may be shit, but the bosses (at least the main 8) are way better than anything on the previous 4 games.
it's sad because despite it being a cashgrab, the devs DID put some effort into conceiving creative ideas for each stage and even unnecessary stuff like giving zero a whole ass new spriteset when he really didn't need one. also having x being able to use zero's saber was the coolest shit ever for me as a kid.
it's the epitome of good ideas, terrible execution.

Played X8 for the first time today. Didn't have fun
X6 is fun. Kinda broken and unfair, but fun
X8 is only fun as Zero and I'm speaking as someone who played all previous games as X exclusively. Axl is ass, shooting an enemy for five seconds straight feels awful.

Good difficulty, sure. I even like the graphics and music. Stage design is awful. Let me pick X or Zero and play through the game by selecting one maverick at a time and finding weaknesses. Done. I don't need anything else. Give me heart tanks, armor upgrades (and a new armor). Easy. Could've been fine, but they playin'.
