Warframe always had a problem with getting people to start and keep them, it's no different now.
You have the core playerbase that have literally been there for years, have nearly everything unlocked and just hoard plat and frames.

Make newgame content to attract the newer players
Make endgame content to keep the older player happy and stop them leaving
Unfortunately DE cannot create content fast enough and they are like magpies.
Literally release something and never support it, moving on to the next shiny new thing. So many game modes have come and gone because they didn't bother doing anything further after releasing it.
So as a new player you need to understand;
There is nothing else except the grind.
To get better at the grind you need to grind.

After that I got to know that primo: stealth is useless and secundo: in terms of grinding it's even worse then Path of Exile. Still, the game looks awesome and I wish I had the patience/autism and time to fully invest in it.
warframe is a great solo game imo. even though stealth is not optimal at all it is still very fun and i do indulge in some stealth assassin rp from time to time. i only ever play with others when grinding xp or doing sorties (not that i need help but it just goes faster). you can pretty safely ignore all multiplayer like 90% of the time.
I remember when I first started back in 2015 before coptering was taken out, I was treating it like a TPS; running out of ammo killing overlevel grineer when going through the maps.
There was a 3 free respawn a day thing going on then it cost plat to refil those.
Those missions were the most intense shit ever.

Expecting stealth in a group was the main issue, you'll most likely run into people grinding something repeatedly for some reason or other so speed is the only thing on their minds. Solo stealth can be fun.
the game got significantly worse as of late to new players
its never made obvious that the greatest power gain the players have are mods and endo, which leads many beginners to not know what to do about ranked weapons and warframes. they get stuck trying to kill level 30 eximi with almost nothing and by the end of a mission see no tangible rewards for all their trouble.
you can now look for several relics on codex but there is no such resource or path clear regarding mods. you can at least begin to do some nightmare missions but its all ruined when a higher level eximus spawn, literally expelling the new player off the mod they need to grind. as the missions go up on higher level you end up with even harder eximi to face with literally unmodded, unpotatoed or no forma weapons, leaving a huge power gap that new players cant cover at all

Just keep in mind that most of the time you'll be doing mostly the same things just to grind to unlock some new gear which will be fun to use for a short while, but then you'll mostly use it to unlock more and more gear. It's repetitive and grindy and there isn't much purpose in all of it, but it is rather enjoyable. I generally treat it as a dumb fun timekiller game that I download once a year or so, play it a bit for a few months, get bored, uninstall and download again when I feel like it. Good mindless fun to chill out after work or school. Also worth checking out if you like Fromsoft style cryptic lore.

You can get at least 10 plat a day just by playing a couple missions, getting syndicate standing and selling an augment mod. That's not counting all the prime parts, rivens and other things you can get and sell during those missions. I shit on Warframe all day but the premium currency system is easily the best on the F2P market.
As a matter of fact the people with the most platinum (hundreds of thousands) don't get it by buying plat, but by selling rivens.

at that point you are better off getting endo for endgame builds and rushing to zariman, for ferlax, innodem and laetum so the endgame stuff can open itself easier

The core gameplay loop is solid and polished, which is ninja flips, shooting, and hack-n-slash. Most of the game is grinding items but it's done in a way that you can just switch your brain off and endlessly kill mobs because the gameplay is fun enough for it.

you can gun down SP 120 vangels with madurai and 5x7 before they place their first orb. if you are not a moron you can have another madurai potato with you just to do the second phase and thus still smoothly kill the vangel before he drops his balls
x7x has the most dps, just get to the leg of the eidolon and pop them. a aware volt can still be used to up the damage, but tbqh its not needed, x7x has huge crits and madurai just bumps harder.
x6x has range so you can still do eidolons normally like before.
since you can now use the arcane for both crit chance and damage on the amp, theres some power lenience regarding this. soon we should get amp mods because DE has been abusing too much of the negative void resistance debuff on specific enemies

Nowadays warfame has of course the space ship combat , skateboarding etc. as unique gimmicks but the core gameplay is still pretty identical. It show poe is much deeper than diablo but gameplay wise it makes frick all a difference when you play your meme builds grinding maps.

The game is good when you are in the procedurally generated mission phase. Once you get to the open world shit, it turns into fricking garbage. I hate that they shifted to open world instances over the procedural missions. Pisses me off to this day. It was a terrible design decision.

The shooting, moving, and using abilities is fun. The process of getting the stuff to shoot with and the warframe to use abilities with is not fun.
Making weapons takes 12 hours if you're lucky and 24 if you're not, making new warframes takes 3 days and thats not counting grinding for the materials to get them. On top of that, they keep pushing their open world meme which is the worst thing they have ever decide to make and they did it twice more, and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a fourth one in the works. If you want to access the latest content you have to: Go fishing in the open world, capture animals with a tranq rifle, go mining. Why? That's not even the worst part, the worst part is the reputation grind, you have to grind rep with factions (of which theres a daily cap) and you need to be max rank in one of them to get some of the fun stuff .Either way its free so you can try it and just play it if there truly is nothing else you would rather be playing. This is just game to pass time not spend it.

Yeah, I would probably say so. What a lot of veterans here forget is the new player/mid game experience is really good and worth it. Its also easy to set this game down for a while and come back to it. I think the endgame is trash (DE panders to a very casual audience) but the experience itself is pretty great.

the osrs community is literally full of autists, I'm not sure why anyone would want to work on that team long term unless you also have autism or other mental illness (Mod Ash). I used to play osrs every day, almost maxed, but switched to rs3. I think the osrs community is the worst out of any mmo and that includes ffxiv. At least the players respect the devs to a fault in ffxiv, the osrs players will criticize every little thing the devs do no matter how minor it is.

I tapped out. Game was just silly when you maxed out frames. They were all moronicly busted... but valkyr was just silly, especially because there was nothing that really required that level of min maxing. You could just turn on invincibility with a few mods and one shot literally anything and get enough energy orbs that you were indefinitely invulnerable as long as there were enemies to kill

Ya I kinda tapped out when I discovered the twist that frames weren't just augmented humans / the next step of evolution but instead just dolls that kids control in one of the worst Evangelion rip offs I've ever seen. I really wanted to believe that frames were mostly naked because they all had that fleshy appearance, which would've been cooler since you could feasible add clothing to them. But nah they're just robots you're controling as if that's any fun.
I feel like the idea was just wasted. And the fact that every frame is a parkour ninja means they all play the same. When I got rhino I wanted him to be a slow juggernaut who couldn't double jump and you played him more like gears of war.
Also the idea of it being a frame made me think you could just use 1 generic tenno and customize them slowly. But instead we're ways chasing a carrot on a stick with grinding for another frame instead of appreciating what we have. I would've done things differently
