I haven't been waiting for a nioh spiritual successor. I've been waiting for ninja gaiden 4, during my wait I'll play every team ninja game and I will love each and every one of them.
Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy my time with the game, but when the first boss is the hardest in the game there isnt much else to say.
The game is fine, the "combat" rarely shines other than with certain enemies and bosses and midbosses, the level design is what you would expect, levels that circle around a few checkpoints, sometimes, little verticality, not much else. Nothing to look at or feel atmospheric about. A time waster to play between games, or until another good soulslike comes out
>one of the new spells is a giant lighting blade you swing in a vertical pattern, looks very cool and allows you to dodge ground based attacks >is locked behind farming in ng+
why are they so moronic
the hardest boss is unironically the first one
parrying is everything and i dont think i ever hit block a single time in this entire game
it also had massive performance issues and crashing at launch
disappointment/10 coming from nioh 1 and 2
>the hardest boss is unironically the first one
No longer the case. They buffed several bosses (the yellow turban mage in particular) and final DLC boss is almost Yoshitsune tier bullshit
It does some things better than Nioh but overall is a massive downgrade and a simplistic mediocre game at it's base. You can see for yourself how much it is being discussed after the release of the first DLC last week (already dead). By the way, the DLCs are side missions not postgame and possibly are cut content that should have been in the day one version. The story will remain unfinished after the last DLC since Team Ninja seemingly expects to somehow sell the second part of this or at least get the publisher's money. The devs seem to be unable to properly code the menus of all things being comically incapable to replicate the quality of life features from Nioh 2 and even the manual scrolling in text windows.
could go up to a 6 or maybe even a 7 out of 10 after dlc but it has way too many glaring issues: >graphics are visually noisy and often very ugly >bad performance on PC >boring levels that are draining to explore with no rewards or interesting stuff to find >not enough content so enemies get reused and become tiring very quickly >awkward attack animations, delayed swings, difficult to read magic projectiles etc in a game all about parrying attacks, makes every enemy feel samey >combat feels okay and can look flashy but lacks depth, basically all you do is parry and get a couple of hits in until your blue bar fills up then spend it on heavy attacks >morale and RPG systems feel half baked
has some cool bosses and the combat is fun for a while but that's about it, you should play nioh, ninja gaiden, or SOP over this. would be better if they just made a boss rush game or leaned more on their traditional style of games like ninja gaiden instead of copying souls the souls formula which sucks but people think it was good because it was in 2 exceptionally well directed games
i think you already know it isn't
what is that funny money
shekels
that's the manjaro logo
>asiaticware
Anon I'm laughing so hard.

Nobody asked.
Ok zoomer
No but it's 3K inspired so it's automatically better
Hahahahahahaffdhctjgh
No. It's shit. Worse than Nioh in every way. Even Sekiro is better.
>Especially Sekiro is better.
FTFY
it WOn't be LONG until you find out!
Play Stranger of Paradise instead
Push deflect when the enemy glows red: the game.

Just go play Sekiro or elden ring again.

>use cheat engine to force the game into NG+ or just spawn it in when you want to make it fair
Easy. Nioh is the same bullshit with new mechanics and rarity tiers being locked behind not 1 but fricking multiple NG++
my cheats don't work on wizardry tomes
idk they took down the demo so i cannot test it

I beat the DLC bosses with Pokemon tactics
poison+burn+wall
Why can't they still make a normal progression coop system, it's either Souls slop or finish mission in one try
oy vey
NO. THERE IS ANOTHER

Nioh with Wo Long magic (no vancian bullshit, you cast with ki) would be an ultimate ARPG
it's a 5/10
