im gonna tell you a super secret
every class in wow for almost every expansion in history barring one or two snowflake specs have been 3 button dps rotations forever
hell some classes were 1 button in certain expacs
Literally every MMO is just simon-says. You press the buttons in order. In the highest level of raids in any game you have to juggle abc123 with the insane mechanical skill of moving to a new location before doing abc123 again. MMOs are a fricking joke
Depends on what you want to do. There are a million fricking acronyms, mechanics, and gameplay features that you probably don't realize if you've been playing for a decade. Most of that shit isn't big enough to really stop you from doing anything except hardcore raiding, which is nofun poopsocking anyway.
I couldn't figure out healing, why does healing have a rotation? Literally all the buttons heal. Why do I need to link the main tank and the boss so I can shoot the boss and heal the tank? None of this makes sense and it feels like needless busywork. I used to just be able to press the heal button to heal.
Anon level skips and hybrid classes exist, why would you assume I somehow played the game for 80 hours and still couldn't figure it out? As in, why would you discard the situations where my post would make sense, and instead focus on the one that would only apply to braindead monkeys?
To learn to play then decide that the cost of entry for learning it isn't worth playing? You understand people need to learn things, right? You don't just pop out of the womb and know everything, and when you learn things you're bad at them at first. Anon I think you may have brain damage and can't think laterally, like at all.
Healing used to be a single button press and people still managed to frick that up. If they brought up the baseline skill floor for healing I would love that, because it would filter out... well, you.
the healing specs all play fairly uniquely and if you chose the 'heal to do damage' specs that's what you can expect
holy priest is probably the pinnacle of 'press heal to heal' but the downside is you are very squishy and immobile which isn't super new player friendly, preservation evoker is probably the easiest healing spec
i'm also pretty new, but the way i play might differ drastically from most players
>pay sub >play through bfa, read quests, check out lore vids on yt >unlock timewalking >go through the expansions in order with different toons >decide whether or not i wanna do sweaty shit >decide i dont and just enjoy the game for what it is
contrarians and fat neckbeards that minmax the fun out of the game will shit on me for saying you can play like this, but you can. it's a great game. i love the art, soundtrack, lore, world and the combat's pretty fun despite the fact that i mainly play action combat games.
you can sweat, you can chill and smell the roses, shit you can even do both. just enjoy the game anon
depends. WoW classic is the easiest overall. but it's a bit archaic
retail WoW might be harder to get into at a high level just because the game is so bloated and full of systems at this point, if you haven't been keeping up for a decade you'll be lost. But there's also a lot more casual content you can do
I want to say no, but the majority of WoW players are casual spackos who can't press buttons in the most basic sequence while dodging giant glowing shockwaves telegraphed by an app playing an honest-to-god fricking airhorn and throwing giant red text into the middle of your screen. Keyboard turners on top of that.
So... Yeah, kinda? Unless by some miracle you're not moronic.
WoW is the easiest MMO in the market and has always been
That doesn't mean there's a lot to learn about the meta and locations and all, but the game itself is extremely easy to understand in comparison to other games. How to make money, how to train fast, how to get good items, etc. It's all spelled out for you as you level.
No.
Nu WoW is just spamming build attacks and pressing the spender button when the flash pop ups while dodging random stacking swirlies.

FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT FROSTBOLT
nice way to tell you only played mage
>plays entire class with a 1 button macro
tbc had so much soul....
every game can be beaten with one attack
that doesn't mean it's smart to do so

MMOs started as a big online chatroom with a game on the side. I really don't think they ever should have been "hardcore" gaming.
I played in somewhat casual guild and the guys really had hard time pre using potion before pulling a boss.

no but your party will shit on you in dungeons

if you can't figure out optimal rotations on your own by the time you get to a high lvl, you're moronic

why level-skip a class that you don't know how to play? isn't that moronic?

you can't even figure out learning

depends how moronic you are
probably yes
Healing always seems difficult. Top guilds never recruited anyone new to healer role since they only put the best members with highest IQ as healers.
No? Just download DBM and press your buttons as they light up, congrats you're ready to start progging mythic
