The only really frustrating exit in this game for me was the Ghost House near the end that had the coin snake you had to take to the very high ceiling. You can fly up there without it but it's very difficult I think it's only one tile high so you have to duck somehow mid flight.
The only one I can really recommend is TSRPR cuz it's the only one I've played, I have some others downloaded though. Vip and Wall mix are good comps from what I've seen. Look for ones with high level counts.
What fricked me up is that for ages I searched for the last 3 secrets scowering every level because I thought the number on save files was percent based and not the number of exits. Like seriously why the frick would it be a weird number like 97?

Any Mario boss over 3 hits = bullshit. You can space them out like for SMW final boss and it still works.

yes it is. SMW is by far the easiest Mario game and that's even if you aren't using the free win power-ups of the Cape and blue Yoshi.

level rando + ability rando + multiworld has been keeping it fresh for me.
