Amia is based. Have one and love it. Had to put a seat cushion for my bony ass, and duct tape the lumbar support as it kept sliding. But now it's the perfect throne that I can sit on for 16 hrs str8.
This is good if youre a small little guy, I had this and I am 6,5 and about 240, Shit rubbed my legs raw, Althougt the quality is amazing, the lean felt smooth.
This chair is the best chair I have owned, except maybe my current chair, But used my leapv2 for years and gave it to my wife.
atm I own a natural posture 8000, the comfort is defintly way better than both above, but the adjustability isnt as good, but comfort over all that tbh for me.
Spot on about the Aeron, recently got a size C. I'm 6'6/250lb and have similar leg issues with the plastic seat rim. In the process of returning mine as I had some other minor defects with mine, great chair otherwise.
Sounds like the Leap 2 is good from your post, probably going to try that or the Gesture next. Not sure on the neutral posture one but will keep it in mind too.
Appreciate you sharing your experiences tall anon, usually reviews/advice for our height range are hard to come by.
i had a midrange steelcase and it fricked up my back. never again with these meme chairs, i sit on hard plastic now and i can't remember the last time i had body pain
I had a chair like this and it ended up with me getting hemorrhoids.

I've used an aeron and its nice but the 'SIHOO M57 Ergonomic Office Chair' is like a 6th of the price and almost as nice to sit on if you cant find a used aeron locally for like $250
Whereas these I got after and made them a lot less painful and kinda unoticed. Mesh Chairs are good shit.
had a leap for 5 years prior to the aeron. It's good and served me well while I couldnt afford an aeron.
my main problem with the leap is that leaning forward towards your desk is not really sustainable. The chair is designed for you to work leaning slightly backwards which just isnt for me. Its great if you like to sit in moronic autist positions like foot under leg and legs crossed though. Which I always used to, I thought it was just me, but it was just the uncomfortable chair making me adapt.
opinions on the HAG Capisco? I've heard it's great for people who can't stop moving (like your truly).
meme tier. I have this on the side and barely use it
I wish something like this, but for tall people.
look in to KAB seating and other 24hr control room chairs

I don't care how cheaply you found it, good speakers are more expensive than good headphones. Sennheiser HD6XX are $200 right now. You need the luck of the devil to find a good second-hand speaker system for double that.

I'm pretty impressed overall with the mid-tier price offerings like those, I've actually found a fair number of good wireless earbuds and wired headphones in the Chinese space off Aliexpress too. I really wanted to like the Mi Headphones, fricking brilliant sound-staging and trebly without being fatiguing, but they're uncomfortable and kind of "on-ear headphones."
High FPS is literally the difference between life-like and cheap-looking. You can't go back after seeing shit at 100+ fps right now. I don't have the power/game-interest to play anything past 200ish at th emoment. But 144 has been amazing. So fricking life-like.

but to fair, I'm a fat frick at over 300 lbs so maybe that's why my tailbone gets hurt sitting down. I know I'm big boned but I think my body weight is supposed to be around 180. It's closer to 310 lol
I bought a "gamer chair" a few years back, lasted a few months until the gas thing in it broke and kept sinking down, even bought that metal thing to keep it up but it kept sinking.
I'm on the PC all day. I've been using a cheap knockoff $150 chair from Amazon since 2016. I've had 0 back, neck or wrist issues. Before that I grabbed a free chair from an office that was shutting down near me that I used for like a decade. Spending $1000+ on a chair seems dumb to me. I would constantly be stressed out that I would break it. If you have the money to spare go for it, but my inner israelite would never let me spend that much.
I also would never spend that much on a mattress. Bought a $250 memory foam mattress from Walmart and a cheap folding bedframe that I've had for 5 years. Furniture is the most overpriced shit because of people saying "YoU gEt WhAt YoU pAy FoR". Get something that works and isn't marked up thousands of dollars.
literally has a 12 year, full warranty. you can't afford $12 a month for something you use 50% of the day?
let me guess, you also sleep on the cheapest piece of shit mattress you could find.
I have an older 1996 Aeron that a family friend gave to us due to a failing gas cylinder. I replaced the cylinder and it still works to this day and is my daily driver. I can’t believe that it still mostly works after over 15 years especially when I have friends that replace their chairs after five years or so. If I ever get my own place, I’ll probably replace it with a newer one that has lumbar support and locking armrests since those features don’t really work well with my current one.
You know you can fit the lumbar support on any of them, right? The early arm rests are junk though, you're best off setting them to a height and then putting little blocks under them so they can't move down anymore.
Do you troglodytes just not clean the shit you own?
Proper leather cleaner is like $10 a bottle and will last you YEARS.
Fricking hell. You guys don't wash your bedsheets either, do you?
no I mean while you're sitting in it.
If I buy a leather chair in Aus I will be swimming in sweat within 10 minutes, same reason hardly anyone has leather couches here.
mesh chairs win every time.
Fully aniline leather breathes like skin. Cheap "finished" or pigmented/semi-analine leather is painted ("pigmented") and has layers of protectors on the surface that makes it unbreathable because of the obnoxious coating. Fully aniline leather is drum dyed throughout the whole hide and has nothing on the surface to impede the flow of air or water.
the fake ass leather will wear off in a year or two, buy mesh chairs, my staples hyken has lasted me 6 years now and the good thing about mesh is when you fart theres no fabric to absorb the smell
I bought something close to this and a chair cover to hide the leather that falls apart immediately. I've had the same chair for years. Love it. I find the mesh chairs to be uncomfortable. But seriously, just anything that isn't a "gamer" chair is fine guys.
cheap, healthy and fun
These are actually really great if you aren't a cow. Takes time getting use to.
My current chair is peeling like all hell and I got a shitload of black fake leather on the floor constantly, but I cant afford anything good right now, so I picked this up today since it was on a decent sale and the reviews are 70%, which for 100 bucks(CAD), aint that bad. Only need for it to last a year before I get my bonus and can buy something good. Really hoping it's not fricking garbage.
WD40 isnt lube, it will only last a day, you need like engine/mechanical grease in there.
I have fixed many things with like a coin sized glob of grease.
the term "genuine leather" isn't reassuring you that the item is made of real leather, it as an actual distinct grade of leather and is the second worst type of leather there is.
I've had the same computer chair since I was 12 and it's screaming at the fact that I'm literally twice the size I was back then, might need to upgrade
Had one, it's frickin trash. I hated it, not enough lower back support because of the bend near the bottom of the back.
Mine was a gift but holy shit do rich people have the WORST fricking taste and sense in like, literally everything they think of.
My Markus is 10 years old and finally starting to go. I'd get another one but they no longer carry the leather versions around me and I don't want the cheapy looking cloth option.
Already did it.
I just wish there was a desk that had enough range to also include floor sitting without being several times more expensive (not even including international shipping for a desk frame in the equation). Being a europoor unfortunately means missing out on a lot of stupid niche shit.
Just buy $100 chink shit, my favorite is a fabric/canvas recliner. Could basically sleep at my desk. Even came with a massage function but never used that. Paying even over $200 is fricking moronic and no I'm not poor. None of that expensive shit could basically fold out to be a bed for me.
I don't get these Black folk. I'm at 200 pounds (no I'm not a blimp but could lose 25ish pounds) and nothing's ever been an issue for me. The only real thing is if it can adjust up and down to perfectly fit desk/mouse height (unless you measure it from purchase to make sure it can slide just barely right under the desk/table).
I got a steelcase leap v2 , it's good. I really, really wanted the embody but I could not justify spending a grand on a chair even if it is the greatest chair ever made
I loved the ergonomics of the dexley but the seat mesh on my first ripped on the side within 2 months and I had to use their exchange company for a replacement.
2nd one's held up for over a year.
I bought one of these with an entire paycheck and I hardly ever use it. Every time someone comes over they want to talk about it and sit in it though so I guess it's alright. Looks good.

Herman Miller copied Stressless recliners. You got ripped off.
dont know why you buy these pieces of shit. i have used multiple herman miller chairs that look just like your picture, and the one i had to use the most always had issues with the arm rests going down on their own. im not even 200 pounds and these arm rests always had to be moved back to position so they could go back down over the course of the next hour or two.
awful chairs. i dont recommend them.
I actually have an old Amia myself and just bought an aeron. My butt's been hurting for a few months now so here's hoping it's as good as everyone says
At the start of the pandemic I needed an office chair for my fat Big and Tall 300 pound ass, so I went to the office depot in down 5 hours before my first WFM shift to go buy an office chair, and this was the literal only chair they had in stock.
A chair marked up in price by 300 dollars because it had Shaqs name on it.
Its a piece of shit.
I'm thinking about buying a fancy chair but I worry to shit/sweat stain it or leave my ass funk in there. How to clean a chair that I'll use 12h+ each day, anons?
its great if you dont lounge. fantastic for actual typing and shit cause you turn the chair around and just lean forward while the sides act as arm rests. if you actually want to sit back as you can guess it's no good. the saddle seat is fantastic. wish they made a loungeable version of this.
Every single chair I own creaks. I bought a box spring bed frame (known for not creaking) and eve. that creaks now. I'm not even that fat I'm like 70kg/155lbs
this is the best computer chair in the world. i have one behind me and the only reason I'm not sitting in that one but rather my large, soft, cloth char is because it's slightly too high for my new desk
I prefer sueded microfiber over mesh or leather (or fake leather). I had a decent one I bought for $150 and it lasted nearly 15 years before it finally broke down. It's hard to find the lower cost microfiber style chairs now, everyone's gone to mesh or "bonded" leather which will absolutely start flaking at some point.
Reminder that chairs designed specifically for fat people are called bariatric chairs. For example, this 3156HR Bariatric Operator Chair is rated for 800 pounds to 1600 pounds. However, these bariatric chairs are not just for fat people but also for employees working in 24 hour operations so bariatric chairs can also be described as 24/7 intensive use chairs.

I have one too. I think it's nice but really overrated. Do yourself a favor and if you really want one, get it second hand.
Note: watch out if you're a fat ass like me. My large ass and thighs means that a chair always rubbed up against them. I've just gotten used to it though. If I were to do it over I would have got a different chair.
>playing DotA >suddenly, bulkhead 15-B goes into lock down because of Jedi incursion >my gaming chaireka disengages its shield and rolls toward the fighting with me still scrunched up inside it >i just wanted to play video games
What's the cheap-ish office chair meta now? It used to be find an Aeron from bulk stores, then it was find a Leap since everyone learned bout the Aerons, then it was the Amia after everyone learned about the Leap.
can confirm, it is a great chair
frick i want one, but not even the rich people i know with mansions in hawaii will pay for one.
Get them second hand on Facebook
I bought some meme mesh chair and the mesh is rough and hurts my skin.
have you tried not being a fatfrick
Yeah, it even looks uncomfortable in the picture. I'm using a shitty random office chair covered in fake leather and it's perfectly fine.
>He fell for the goyeron
hahahahahahahahahahaa

amia is better and not sniped and marked up to hell by resellers
>Amia
I'll have to check it out, I'm on my second leapv2(gave the first to a family member when I moved).

what kind of seat cushion did you get?
my mistake, i got amia on ebay not the leap
big fan of the Amia
we had some old ones at my last job and i prefer them to the Aeron that I have at home
i have this chair
got it new open box on ebay for 300
its really nice

this chair is dangerously comfy. it's like a cursed artifact
Got one for $60 off some filthy rich old lady on facebook whos husband died
Sitting in a dead man's throne never felt so good
i had a midrange steelcase and it fricked up my back. never again with these meme chairs, i sit on hard plastic now and i can't remember the last time i had body pain
I got an old one from 2006 from a local used office supply warehouse for $100, best purchase I've made in years

I had a chair like this and it ended up with me getting hemorrhoids.

Man chairs are really a scam.
when you sit in one for 10 hours a day it's worth it to invest and prevent back problems.
It’s the customizability that costs.
i bought this from some guy for $100 and didn't really like it
I bought this chair and got a letter one week later telling me to give them a 5 star rating for a 20$ Amazon card.
You morons fell for the chair equivalent of audiophile/high refresh rate monitor scam.
Those actually count though unless you have shit eyes/ears/don't do some research on review sites.
Audiophile headphones are all bullshit, the same, only real differences are build quality and slider options, the best audio you can probably ever get is surround sound with some beefy ass speakers, you have to be really fricking autistic to notice any other difference.
As for refresh rate, nobody fricking cares unless you're gonna be playing hypercompetitive games and have the cash to blow on that kind of frivolity that might give you an edge.
t. no knowledge of difference between open-back and closed-back
If you're gonna be using open back you might as well just use a speaker system instead of caving in your gamer dent even deeper

not a scam. get your vision checked.
Anything over 120 is a scam
frick this piece of shit
the back snapped after 6 months because it was made out of hard plastic instead of metal

oh motherfricker, where do i buy the head rest? I need that
herman miller chairs are literally the only chairs you will EVER need. even for sim racing you can buy chair wheels that lock.
Mesh is essential, ventilation to the ass and prevents sweat.

not as good as one of these
Where do you attach the dildo

Holy frick. No thanks
i got a used one for ~$750 a couple of years ago and it's been really nice
actually looked back and it was $575. honestly a great deal
What percentage of your life are you sitting for anon? Don't you value your comfort and your health?
I'm on the PC all day. I've been using a cheap knockoff $150 chair from Amazon since 2016. I've had 0 back, neck or wrist issues. it doesnt seem dumb to me to spend that much on a chair that gets used almost as much as my mattress that costs that much
I also would never spend that much on a mattress. Bought a $250 memory foam mattress from Walmart and a cheap folding bedframe that I've had for 5 years. i bought it for around 1600 new, its worth it.
literally has a 12 year, full warranty. you can't afford $12 a month for something you use 50% of the day?
let me guess, you also sleep on the cheapest piece of shit mattress you could find.
I'm still not buying your overpriced piece of plastic and mesh
go on then, post a picture of your mattress
Why? I'm not a moron with buyer's regret or a paid shill
Nta but I sleep on a memory foam mattress or a rug, both otherwise directly on the floor, depending on where I am, kek

I got a size B used on FB Marketplace for $25. Its the best chair I have had but I feel like this thing shouldn't be more then like $500ish.
>Buy gaming chair my brother liked last year with lean back option.

Back to Office Chairs I go.
for me it's this
>gas pump breaks in the first 3 months
>leans to the left out of the box and redoing the screws doesnt change shit
>leather tears
Literal Chinese junk, get a proper leather chair.
if you wanna be swimming in a pool of your own ass juice sure.
>he doesn't put a towel on his chair
ngmi
whats the point of the leather if you're going to sit on a $4 towel?
Do you troglodytes just not clean the shit you own?
Proper leather cleaner is like $10 a bottle and will last you YEARS.

I bought a brand new one with stupid programmer money and ill probably be able to put this chair in my will, looks/feels new even after a few years.
Come home brown men.
Would buy and saw off the arm rest.
My current chair is peeling like all hell and I got a shitload of black fake leather on the floor constantly, but I cant afford anything good right now, so I picked this up today since it was on a decent sale and the reviews are 70%, which for 100 bucks(CAD), aint that bad. >If you need a temp fix they make like $20 chair covers for your shitty peeling one.
Yeah I know but the chair also squeaks like a mouse being raped which is annoying as hell and wd40 didn't do anything to fix it longer than a day.
WD40 isnt lube, it will only last a day, you need like engine/mechanical grease in there.

There's a place near me selling Leaps for 200 bucks... does that seem too good to be true?
Steelcase Leaps are fine imo but get one with a headrest if possible. $200 sounds like they can't get rid of the damn things.
can someone actually recommend a good one that is available in the EU?
You like Ikea?
idk if i can get it online
You like thrift stores?
I'm neither a fat slob nor a manlet, so Markus has been serving me faithfully for well over a decade. I literally don't need anything else.
My Markus is 10 years old and finally starting to go. I'd get another one but they no longer carry the leather versions around me and I don't want the cheapy looking cloth option.
How does the mesh feel on your bare ass?
Very comfortable and cheap. Yeah it's chinese but I'm not shilling out a grand for a chair.
From this thread I have concluded that there is no such thing as a good chair
>He needs a chair
Why haven't you taken the standingdeskpill yet anon?
because everything you've read about sitting killing you and bad posture is pseudoscience nonsense
Because tons of dosh for just some adjustable frames is not worth it, do chinks sell it for what it's actually worth now?
I have always hated standing, ever since I was a child.
I would sit down on the soccer field if the other players were at the opposite goal.
Post hand, fatty.
I would kill for some ddr mats to act as mouse

Simple, Cheap, and I got $10 off because I watched some car commercial for 30 seconds.
Where to get that $10 off, anon?
I might be able to get a Steelcase Amia for $100, are they actually worth getting?
looks fine imo
Black person-rig a headrest for it out of a generic amazon headrest and two camera clamps
I need a chair that I can sleep in after sitting it in for 16 hours, what's my options for something like that?
I got a steelcase leap v2 , it's good. I really, really wanted the embody but I could not justify spending a grand on a chair even if it is the greatest chair ever made
I had a chinky chair that exploded and I bought this. It's so comfy.
How did you survive, anon? Those things go off like frag grenades
The pneumatic thingy didn't actually explode, but the hinge for reclining gave out, so I was likely to be on the floor when gaming.
Surprisingly good decision, anon, Razer designs and manufactures their own chairs. Score one for Singapore
So do you blast out farts into your chair or do you lift your ass slightly and fart out the side so your chair remains pure longer
I break wind as I stand so it feels like I'm propelling myself upward like Wario's Down+B
Can confirm. I'm sitting in an aeron right now and I feel like a king. Worth every penny.
let me guess you need more
I have this staples chair. best chair ever
I had a Dexley, for some reason the mesh seat sagged out on me. I only had it for around 6 months-a year.
fat
I'm under the weight limit for it, actually I bought it because its top-rated limit was over a hundred pounds heavier than my own fat ass.
I loved the ergonomics of the dexley but the seat mesh on my first ripped on the side within 2 months and I had to use their exchange company for a replacement.
2nd one's held up for over a year.
Just get one of these like an adult
Fart into that once and it’s ruined
I bought one of these with an entire paycheck and I hardly ever use it. Every time someone comes over they want to talk about it and sit in it though so I guess it's alright. Looks good.
Let me just remortgage my home BRB
Honestly though I'm curious I can afford one especially with black Friday sale but damn what if sucks
Herman Miller copied Stressless recliners. You got ripped off.
I saw a porn of some fat guy fricking a waif on one of these and I didn't feel horny, it just made me feel sad for the chair.
Why
You can't use this as a computer chair
It doesn't even adjust
Why get this over the chairs that Eames did make for office?
Someone show me an ergo chair that has a really wide base to sit on? A good cheap one if possible.
dont know why you buy these pieces of shit. i have used multiple herman miller chairs that look just like your picture, and the one i had to use the most always had issues with the arm rests going down on their own. im not even 200 pounds and these arm rests always had to be moved back to position so they could go back down over the course of the next hour or two.
awful chairs. i dont recommend them.
i have a steelcase amia and i can't get comfortable in it. either my tailbone goes numb or my back starts to hurt, sometimes really badly
I actually have an old Amia myself and just bought an aeron. My butt's been hurting for a few months now so here's hoping it's as good as everyone says
i hate good chairs because i like to sit low not sitting with my back straight all day
Looking for a chair with a tall and very sturdy back.
I like to lounge at my computer
At the start of the pandemic I needed an office chair for my fat Big and Tall 300 pound ass, so I went to the office depot in down 5 hours before my first WFM shift to go buy an office chair, and this was the literal only chair they had in stock.
A chair marked up in price by 300 dollars because it had Shaqs name on it.
Its a piece of shit.
>1275 dollar for a chair
the only i dug out of the trash of a nearby office building will suffice
Those are made in China too
I'm thinking about buying a fancy chair but I worry to shit/sweat stain it or leave my ass funk in there. How to clean a chair that I'll use 12h+ each day, anons?
opinions on the HAG Capisco? I've heard it's great for people who can't stop moving (like your truly).
its great if you dont lounge. fantastic for actual typing and shit cause you turn the chair around and just lean forward while the sides act as arm rests. if you actually want to sit back as you can guess it's no good. the saddle seat is fantastic. wish they made a loungeable version of this.
The asterisk feet thing with wheels feels wrong and uncomfortable for me no matter the chair. For me, it's the good old soft chair on four legs.
Every single chair I own creaks. I bought a box spring bed frame (known for not creaking) and eve. that creaks now. I'm not even that fat I'm like 70kg/155lbs

thank me later
Skinny manlet, low budget, redoing my room and need a new chair. Rec please.
cheap, healthy and fun
this is the best computer chair in the world. i have one behind me and the only reason I'm not sitting in that one but rather my large, soft, cloth char is because it's slightly too high for my new desk
is this about the Chinese game chairs that would explode?
don't get shit with cheap leather wither it's cancer I would avoid all leather for something mesh that can breathe
Tick tock chairies
>want a mesh chair
>also like sitting naked sometimes
Why can't you sit naked on a mesh chair?
mesh just seems like it would get irritating on bare skin
Reminder that chairs designed specifically for fat people are called bariatric chairs. For example, this 3156HR Bariatric Operator Chair is rated for 800 pounds to 1600 pounds. However, these bariatric chairs are not just for fat people but also for employees working in 24 hour operations so bariatric chairs can also be described as 24/7 intensive use chairs.

No space in my cell for chair. I have also another rooms in my base, but I fricking love my cell.
You guys are weak.
best gayming chair ever created. it even has anatomical flex
Filthy poors, imagine not gaming in a fricking metal scorpion.
>playing DotA
>suddenly, bulkhead 15-B goes into lock down because of Jedi incursion
>my gaming chaireka disengages its shield and rolls toward the fighting with me still scrunched up inside it
>i just wanted to play video games
my fricking sides
Imagine the fricking scratches on the floor.
It just works for 3 years
If I had the kind of money that can pay for such chair, I wouldn't be sitting on 4chins, getting mad over other people's opinions.
if your chair doesn't have a spring cushion it's shit
anyone else use a tempur pedic chair like pic rel? had one for like 8+ years and its still the most comfortable chair and has held up really well
Flexispot said I won this for free so I got this. it's pretty good in my opinion.
aeron is a piece of shit. anyone who has a herman miller is the same as anyone who owns any apple product. consumerist morons
What's the cheap-ish office chair meta now? It used to be find an Aeron from bulk stores, then it was find a Leap since everyone learned bout the Aerons, then it was the Amia after everyone learned about the Leap.
It just works
had one of these at my old job and seriously considered stealing it.
