Allegedly it has UHD sprites so they must've upscaled them or something. Backgrounds also have abit more detail to them.
As an aside I prefer when visual style doesn't get compromised from the original vision too much. Going from Guilty Gear XX to Xrd is like going from early 00s hxc visuals to late 00s/early 10s moe anime.
Yes. Ideally they could have overworked 2-3 Taros to death and deliver the same amount of characters with new sprites but the Japanese are getting lazy lately.
>It looks exactly like the first game wtf?
FRICKING GOOD.
last thing UNI needs is moronic changes like granblue or a compete dumpster fire simplification like strive
The UI still looks like kusoge doujinshi poverty shit.
You would think that this series deserves better presentation after BBTAG and Melty pushed awareness.
mental moronation, this is not an arcsys game. learn the difference between devs and publishers
They went out of their way to make the character select screen look worse while the in-battle UI looks like an indie game dev made it for their pre-alpha build.
They wanted to show off Yoshihara's evolved artstyle after 10 years which took a dip during UNICLR but frankly saved itself from what we saw in 2.
And in case you didn't know FB is probably the few dev teams who can call themselves indie when their total staff is below 20 people. I don't think it's better than the older UIs but yellow was technically their original choice back in UNI's alpha days. I don't hate it because I do like the addition of the new round starts, round ends, and win screens.
>You would think that this series deserves better presentation after BBTAG
If there was any takeaway from BBTag, it's that you can get away with shit UIs very easily.
Picked CLR up to play again for the first time since covid started. Had forgotten how fun Mika was and was even able to do her hold C juggles from memory. Can't wait to play this beauty with good netcode now.
I'm kind of miffed they are continuing with this ancient method of fighting game updating by releasing a new edition instead of just updating what people already have. UNI with rollback was a dream but it's so easy to just leave it by the wayside when it's going to cost $40+ and there's so much else to play
Anon CLR was already a huge fricking free gift to the fans who owned [st] and don't tell me most people here even played UNIEL. Spaghetti arcsys code was the most probable cause, among many other factors, that necessitated a brand new game instead of simply updating.
Plus you just expect them to just patch in another 10 hour VN?
Yes, I do. Frick you.
We both know neither of us know anything about game dev to actually be accurate as to the feasibility of updating the latest version, but it's obvious to anyone that that's the only way they justify to their fans to buy the game again a third or fourth time.
I'm just going to wait for a 50% sale in three years and enjoy the game then. Until then I hope they get an evo slot and the top 4 is hype
Goddamnit it's fricking 2011+12 I don't want to deal with multiple editions of the same fighting game
I've only ever paid full price for this series 3 times because I bought unist 3 times.
Frick, and I'd do it again for UNI2 if I wasn't so sure I'd just stick to the simultaneous PC release.
Good. 2.5D looks like ass.

Yes. Ideally they could have overworked 2-3 Taros to death and deliver the same amount of characters with new sprites but the Japanese are getting lazy lately.
>Blazblue died for this
blazblue died for strive, french bread has nothing to do with arksys aside from publishing. You'd be closer saying melty blood died for this
They have literally nothing in common
Where do you dumb motherfrickers come from?
Blazblue killed itself and Arcsys tasted that good DBFZ and Strive money.

Do you really want to see all the girls censored and them shoving Black folk and trannies into the game?
shame isn't it
We don't need noel anymore
too much clothing, I've seen more skin in burka kombat
They're nuns/church girls for a fricking reason.
Stay out of my series
The UI still looks like kusoge doujinshi poverty shit.

homies who hardly played the first game telling me their amateur opinions about what they don't know kek
>BBTAG
>Arcsys
>Melty
>Typemoon backing
UNI is ENTIRELY on their money, which means it's still not a lot.
Don't blame the budget on the presentation.

because it is?
i don't think people realize they had to remake the engine from scratch to accommodate rollback which is why previous under nights didn't have it
what's shit about it
What a fricking awful name for a game. Japs are mega morons.
kiss-shot acerola-orion heart-under-blade
GOOD
The last thing Unist needs to be is another strive
Also the worst name in vidya history

They should have revisited their doujin era masterpiece instead
MORE LIKE UNDERPLAYED STILLBIRTH
