wasn't this game supposed to come out like 6 years ago? how is ubisoft still in business? don't you eventually run out of money paying 10 thousand employees and mismanaging them?
E-sport and streamer bait
Played both the alpha and beta on console and I liked those more than the actual final release. Started playing around when Nomad got introduced and promptly stopped when Zero got announced.
Unfun as frick game that relies on the same strats for every map and the same counter-strats. The only reason I ever played this game is because my friends are braindead morons who can only play this goddamn game since their brains cannot handle anything else
this game was made with a skeleton team at ubisoft Singapore. They didn't want to release it at all but had to because it was made with government subsidies from Singapore. I bet for the last 5 years maybe like 50 people total worked on it
another great game with great potential being its only curse an ubisoft original and their game designs , we will never get a proper pirate game right with potential optimal multiplayer ?
It will have both Denuvo and that shitty Ubisoft DRM garbage, so I won't buy that filth, just like I'm emulating the Scott Pilgrim game, Diablo 3, or playing WoW in private servers, while only buying games that actually respect their players.
Development hell for ten years btw.
How hard would it have been to take AC Black Flag and paste a bunch of GTAO mechanics on top of it, that's what everyone wanted. People liked Black Flag because you were able to seamlessly go from ship combat to docking into town and fighting and climbing your way through historical buildings to then use the loot to upgrade your ship, sail again and go explore some jungle or Mayan ruin or such.
For some reason Ubisoft took this to mean people not only wanted just the boat combat, they didn't even want to actually be fricking able to board the enemy ship instead relegating it to a cutscene.
>require some ubisoft 2 part authentication on my account >no evidence of ever getting those in my mails
I was half interested and it went away with this ass backwards system.
>Only combat is cannon fire
Let me know when I can board the other ship and duel some scallywags. Maybe then Ill be interested.
It was pitched, advertised, and sold as just ship on ship combat. If you want something else, feel free to play somwthing else.
lol
Its like an immediate black mark against a game now lol
Shouldn't it be "An Ubisoft Original"?
That's if you use the french pronunciation oobisoft, but the company is no longer french so it's yoobisoft and the "a" is correct.
No. The U is pronounced You
>sea of thieves made by poopisoft
hard pass
It's weird but fun. It's an MMO now. I'd be down but it feels it will die quickly unless they do a freemium model
It's almost time.
>no boarding
>no pillaging
DOA

R6S prints money out of thin air, they can do whatever the frick they want
genuinely can't imagine how people still play siege at this point
>t. someone that played at launch then tuned out mid year

Play this standalone mod about Pirates
piratehorizons dot com
Not falling for Ubi shit
>>>>a ubisoft original
???
Its a game not a show you spastics
another great game with great potential being its only curse an ubisoft original and their game designs , we will never get a proper pirate game right with potential optimal multiplayer ?
This has to be some marketing thread because I just got an email invitation for the closed beta.
Why wouldn't I just play Sea of Thieves? I bet the water doesn't even look as good.
i got an invite but i dont give a frick
i just wanted a sp game like blackflag without the assassin shit
On paper a pirate mmo is a very based idea
But the fact that ubislop is the one making it is a monkey paw
its been almost 10 years and the game still isn't out
>skull and bones
are we gonna get a cameo from George Bush?
Not even the developers working on it like it, they're forced to make it.
It will have both Denuvo and that shitty Ubisoft DRM garbage, so I won't buy that filth, just like I'm emulating the Scott Pilgrim game, Diablo 3, or playing WoW in private servers, while only buying games that actually respect their players.
was it really that hard for for Ubisoft to make a pirate sim based of black flag's mechanics?
I swear blue byte is the only competent team they have
That's what they did???
it's pretty clear they've failed
According to what
It came to me in a dream
it is known
when people said they wanted a pirate game based on black flag, they didn't mean "10 years later".
>It looks good
>I have a small white penis
Nice of you to tell us, anon. Not sure how that's relevant to this game though
I played it. It's fun. Probably won't get it because Ubisoft are homosexuals about regional pricing but might pick it up on deep sale
Development hell for ten years btw.

Sorry to break it to you but no one likes the boarding fights
Sure sounds like a (You) issue
Considering they are out of the game, it sounds like a YOU issue, homosexual. Enjoy.
Do you even know what you're arguing about, marketeer?
>Hope it lives up to its hype
Anon that's a Black Flag pic, it lived up to the hype a decade ago
That chill dude on the right side of the ship... Hope it lives up to its hype.
>require some ubisoft 2 part authentication on my account

>knowing that it was delayed for so long that they legally couldn't delay it anymore
I wouldn't get my hopes up
Case in point in why AI voice actors need to rise. Frick I am tired of <generic foreign accent> talking to me.
Why? So you can hear a generic foreign accent but it's janky and stumbles over words sometimes?
