It may have been a pointless gimic but I always loved seasons and wished they stayed.
Sure, might have just been mostly a graphical change but I always did love getting to explore the world in different season

wow gen 5 had such high quality sprites
It did have decent sprites. Just that you could never tell in the overworld because it did that stretching/squashing bullshit so you'd need to look them up to see how they look unmutilated
This image is obviously placing pixels where they were not, making it look worse. Just look at the dude's mouth. Th original has it as just two white pixels, but this creates new mini pixels around everything.
It’s objectively a good feature just like the day/night cycle. Literally only yawngay pretends these aren’t good things because it’s in games he doesn’t like
>It’s objectively a good feature just like the day/night cycle
Neither are objectively good features. If anything I'd argue they're objectively bad features. Having to wait 16 hours to catch Ledyba doesn't make the game better. Having the whole story nonsensically take place at night because I only have time to play the game at night doesn't make the game better.
Thank you for proving my point.
Thank you for proving my point by having no argument.
They are good features in terms of adding immersion and such
That said, SV did one thing right and that was uncoupling Day/Night from system time so people weren't fricked if they could only play at a certain time
going to the DS settings to change my time to get past the game’s shitty design doesn’t feel immersive
Just play during the correct hours you homosexual
>b-but it's night time and I want espe-
Cry about it
>no you see it’s a GOOD thing when the game needlessly roadblocks the protein for 8 months!
>8 months
average iq of unova haters
Autumn Sawsbuck best Sawsbuck
>seasons
>pointless gimmick
Anyone who thinks and says that needs to touch grass.
>explore the world in different season
Never happened.
>Explore Unova in different seasons
There, that "more correct" you autist?
>walk 5 tiles to get a pokeball
This is not exploring. Please play any other game once.
>cites intentionally shit example.
What about twist mountain you shitpost-gay?
>what about SNORE mountain
dumb gimmick
I'm playing BW2 for the first time and the graphics are so good wtf.
I have never played and will never play bwuh/bwuh2 but anything that adds to the depth of pokémon ecology is good.
You should!
I liked it overall but I can see why they abandoned it. It's 4x as much work for something that's merely an aesthetic change most of the time. Winter was the only season that felt different from the rest, the others felt unutilized aside from the route in the OP. And waiting 4 months to get a season-locked item was annoying.
>you will never get to experience winter in Sinnoh and get snowed in under 5 feet of snow
I thought that the palettes for the non-spring seasons were ugly as hell. Most of the routes in autumn didn't look like that; they looked like this.
Seasons and day/night are only liked by losers.
Having different areas that open up in different seasons was neat. It would've been neat if there were more of those and more variation in encounter tables between seasons. That way you get a more different experience depending what month you do the playthrough in, and more reason to backtrack to pick up other stuff later once you get Fly.
