It depends on the execution. I don't know if you've read ciconia when they cry phase 1 but even if it's unconfirmed it's already pretty obvious that they are in a simulation. But that likely isn't going to be the twist, or the main part of it.
The real revelation will be about the purpose of said simulation

I actually played Shironagasu and nothing in there is remotely related to simulation theory shit so I'm inclined to believe that this shitposter is making up shit and just randomly listing games.
I dislike it. It retroactively removes the stakes from the story.
Then again, I'm not perfectly consistent in my views since I absolutely adore time loops and they tend to have the same problem. Maybe because there's actual flesh and blood involved? If the looper gives up the consequences will be real?

It always feels like a cheap cop out for bad writing. Same as using amnesia to give you a blank slate character. It's cheap and now your story sucks ass.
Meh i think it depends of why they are in a simulation and its effects. The Evil Within for example i liked the plot twist of the simulation because you where inside a fricked up dude's head and all the horrors you saw there was product of his traumas, and if you died inside the simulation you died in real life so its no like the tension and difficulty we went through the game did not matter.
As a reader i prefer 'it's all a dream/simulation' over some hack fanfiction writer trying desperately to tie up his 100 hanging plot threads in a way that isnt going to take up another 20 hours of my life.

Nu-Prey has fun gameplay though, and the simulation is not the only twist, so I forgive it and think it's worth a playthrough.
The Evil Within is not exactly a simulation, you use a machine to go inside a dude's head, and there the entire game happens, but still i think it can be considered a simulation because it did not actually happen in real life, it was more like a shared dream.
