I've been saying this since it came out
POV: You were born in 2000 and think your first Zelda game was "the greatest".
Either LTTP or Ocarina is best. Anything else is profound moronation.
I was born in 1991, my first game was Ocarina of Time, my second Link's Awakening, my third Oracle of Ages, my fourth Link to the Past, my fifth Majora's Mask, my sixth Wind Waker, and my seventh Twilight Princess
LttP and OoT aren't the best because later games touched up the formula and gave better dungeon design, and higher quality music.
Similar story for me, but I played Ocarina, Majora, Ages, Seasons, and Wind Waker in that order before getting to Twilight, and I still like that one the most. That said, my top 5 comprises of every game here but Wind Waker, even back then I thought something was off about it.
I enjoy Wind Waker a little less each time I replay it, lol. Still haven't gotten to Skyward Sword yet but I'm looking forward to it.
same for omfg-my-first-console-and-ff final fantasy vii. its like a baby memory they cant put in a rational place
This, most of these guys didn't even play tp on the gc.
because it came to Wii a month prior, you're poor
Link Between Worlds is the best one, hands-down, but this is the best 3d zelda.
>POV: You were born in 2000 and think your first Zelda game was "the greatest".
My first zelda game was Zelda 1, then OoT, then LttP, then Minish Cap, then TP, then SS, then I went back and played all the ones I missed, and emulated all future titles as well.
I was born during the time ALttP came out and I've played all Zelda games by now (even the CDi ones). Twilight Princess one of the if not the greatest Zelda game.
Not the greatest, but it was a good final game
>the most linear dungeons in the series carried HARD by theming
>items are basically one and done and have very little practical use outside of the dungeon they're found in
>pathetically easy, even for Zelda standards not a single remotely challenging moment in the entire game
>takes like 2 hours for the game to even start sfter a barrage of unskippable tutorials and chores
>wolf sections amount to boring fetch quests
>wolf itself is extremely limited in abilities, has about the same usage as a single mask transformation from Majoras Mask
>towns are barren wastelands with nothing of interest to do in them
>overworld is empty with nothing to see but the sparse heart piece and a golden bug quest, which just gives you more rupees which is useless in this game unless you want magic armor which just makes an easy game even easier
>enemies are UGLY AS FRICK with an artstyle that aged horribly
The strengths of Twilight Princess is the beautiful music, the best link design and Midnas fat ass.
and the wolf transformation, and the dungeon design, and the best hyrule in the series, and new uses of old items, and the ganon fight, and
>Writes awesome stuff
>Says they're bad
This is why we can't have good things anon.
Don't forget
>nearly everything you do between dungeons is a shallow forced minigame that has nothing to do with the main mechanics because Aonuma couldn't design interesting content
>take like 2 hours for the game to even start
more like 8 hours
yes
if only i knew the horrors we would get after it, i would have taken my time and cherished playing the last good zelda game
it's my favorite zelda, at least it was before botw
I really hope they revisit the world/style one day, just the esthetics I'm not talking about the linear stuff, loved the twilis and was hugely disappointed they weren't in totk despite the visual similarities
i cant, ive been doing that since it came out.
I'm like 90% this 10% majora's mask idk I'm still torn
It's a linear game that looks like it's trying to be an open game.
that makes no sense, it's a Zelda game with the most epic setpieces
so literally every zelda except the first one and the most recent two
Redpilled as frick.
Is that a bad thing? It wasn't trying to be GTA
It's bad if Zelda factors into your standard of open exploration for God knows whatever reason.
GTA is linear
I only like the game for Midna and that's about it. Rest basically just a Ocarina and Majora Mask bukkake game
I was saying that back in 2007 and my tune has not changed since.
>this is the greatest Zelda game
... loooooooool?
The video that points this out says that the formula works approximately 10 seconds after stating it.

based Christian theme makes hook noses and their worshippers seethe
Sorry, my friend. That honor belongs to The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.
You can call me when a 3D Zelda game is letting me fly across chasms using a legendary rooster, buried under a weatherwiener, that I brought back to life with an Ocarina tune.
Until then, Squadala.
mogged by Seasons, which lets you fly around on a bear, or inside a kangaroo vegana
No, sir, I do not care for Capcom imitators.
Not him but frick off, the Oracles and LA make up the top 3 2D Zeldas.
I do not like the Oracle games
I do not like Four Swords Adventure
I do not like The Minish Cap
I do not like Phantom Hourglass
I do not like Breath of the Wild
I do not like Capcom Zeldas
>I do not like Breath of the Wild
fake fan
How come my sword has to break? I don't see any other clowns taking weapon damage. Their shit is always in peak condition until I get it, then it's done in like 15 hits. I won't put up with crap like this. It's not fun. You can justify it all you want. It's not fun. If you're having fun, it's not because your weapons break. You are coping.
Shields getting stolen used to be a huge event. Now it's cheap. Not only is it not fun, but the narrative suffers. Its3no longer ludokino. Negative soul.
I do not like Breath of the Wild.
I do not like Capcom Zelda.
I will play the next game where Hidemaro Fujibayashi is not involved.
it's because I find better weapons. that's fun
>still likes Wind Waker but pretends to have taste
And I can't take anything you say seriously now.
Frick you. Wind Waker is the best. I'm gonna go play the Battleship game
SPLOOSH!
It's fun until you leave the island with that very same minigame and realize, oh wait, I have to afk sail everywhere now...
Sailing is the best. Jumping over barrels. Steering through rupee course. Talking with my bro Fishman and getting tips. Digging up rupees from the ocean.
Yes I liked the triforce hunt.
Yes I liked the islands with secret caves.
Yes I liked The Wind Waker!
Capcom makes better Zelda games than Nintendo
I just didn't like playing as the wolf compared to human link. Especially since I played TP shortly after playing sonic unleashed
it is the most unique zelda game with its atmosphere and design which automatically promotes it to the first rank for a lot of people.
>5 hr tutorial
>bug hunting
>wolf sections
>Terrible pacing
>Ganondorf was behind it all!
>Just as easy as Wind Waker
>Dull ugly version of OoT
>Terrible Anime story
>Useless items
>Dungeons are glorified set pieces
>Overworld is somehow worse than the N64 games
lol no
>you found a green rupee!
>you found a blue rupee!
>you found a red rupee!
One of the worst 3D Zeldas also 8.8
It's better than Wind Waker at least. Every other 3D Zelda mogs it though.
Still painfully mid.
Get some taste.
