When are we going to admit that Galaxy is the worst 3d Mario. >Shit movement >All style no substance >Entire game is run around the planet and collect the star pieces to launch yourself to the next planet. >Easiest 3d Mario >Takes forever to select a star to play >Shit hub world >Long tutorial >Shit powerups
This was peak Mario, it's only been downhill since.
Sequel is better
Sequel is soulless and recycles way too many levels from both the first game and previous ones
It's better in the aspects that matter more: level design and difficulty. Plus it has Yoshi.
>Plus it has Yoshi.
Really all you need to say.
it's like a roller coaster ride normies can feel awesome without having any skill
Nintendo games in general
>normies
Go back, homosexual.
The soundtrack makes the game feel far more grand than it actually is.
inflation
a 7 in 2007 is like a 10 today
It's a 5/10 game. Why was it so praised back then?
The actual game itself is just okay, but it is hard carried by the bombastic space opera OST
Name a SINGLE 3d platformer as good since Galaxy 1 and 2.
All of them
Mario Odyssey

All the Mario games for Wii
ah the classic cover
the game may be a 7/10, but the soundtrack is perfection.
Glad that Wii had 3 Mario platformers (Galaxy saga and NSMBW) instead of just 1 like the N64 and Gamecube did.
Galaxy 2 was just lost level from 1
It's better than Galaxy 2, 3D World and Odyssey.
Because it's incredibly unique, even for a Mario game. Also, Rosalina.
Mario 64 was a launch title. Sunshine and Galaxy weren't. And yet 64 is the best game of the trio.
You had to have been there, unironically.
It's a masterpiece compared to Sonic's platforming debut on the Wii.
DINO
IT'S A JUNGLE
DINO
(unintelligible)
This thread got me in the mood for some 3d platformers. any good ones drop in the last 3 years or so?
Corn Kidz 64
Demon Turf
Toree 3D
Cavern of Dreams
Sephonie
Psychonauts 2
Crash 4
Crumble
Orbo's Odyssey
Penny's Big Breakaway
Literally none. Replay mario galaxy.
Kirby in the Forgotten Land was pretty good
Both Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Psychonauts 2 are top tier
It has terrible gameplay but good everything else
It's like the JRPG of platformers
When are we going to admit that Galaxy is the worst 3d Mario.

sunshine is still the worst
it may be the least polished but it had the most soul
it doesnt and even if it did that means jack shit when the actual levels and gameplay is subpar
This place has shit taste in games so every thread scoring a game should be ignored
Novelty of the Wii, that's literally it.
>waggleshit
No. Thanks.
Most of the crew behind Galaxy, including director Yoshiaki Koizumi, came straight from this game.
