CP77 handles this better than any other game. Rather than just a cutscene, they tend to integrate the dialogue into something more active.
It's not better at all, it's still forced, boring and unskippable in the quests.
Games shouldn't have dialogue, they should have good gameplay, if they don't have good gameplay then it's not a good game

No he's got a point. In Portal games for example, you could just frick around and eventually get through the level. Having a good story is secondary in games and being able to drop the story while in active play is much better than having to try and match walking speed while listening to someone babble on.

Yeh, would be nice, but on a serious note if you look at the original cyberpunk a lot of the main characters are white men and the women don't look ugly
I mean 90% of the game is V and Johnny Silverhand, and they are both white if we take trailers as canon. And most of the villains being asian makes sense when it's Arasaka or black when it's the vodoo boys, or latinX when it's valentinos etc. If anything it was fairly tame and less pozzed than I expected, there's like one known troony and you have to go out of your way to find out, and there's a bunch of based white characters like Jackie, Viktor, Smasher etc

The "character" in question brings it up regardless of what you say. You have to hear about how his gay lover was so supportive during his transition. And how the gay is super butthurt about the gay lover being killed in a fricking death race.
