A thing I've noticed with BotW discourse is that the people who are the most sore about the game's approach to traditional dungeons don't tend to play many actual dungeon crawlers, if any at all. There are dozens of games that run circles around the level design in earlier 3D zeldas, but BotW offers an experience that it's much harder to get elsewhere

the ending in particular is fantastic
just not having buggy non-intuitive controls and gameplay makes a game a "masterpiece" nowadays
it's 100 hours of pure joy and to finish it you still can play it for 50 - 100 hours for 100%

they are perfect, because they make sense in the story and perfectly fit into the environment as dungeons, also 2 of them move which is kino
They needed a bit more aesthetic variety between them but they're some of the coolest things in a Zelda game easily
they are machines tho so it makes sense that they look the same and the environment around them is different which is nice

the one thing about the ganondorf fight i didnt like was that Ascend, Recall, Fuse, Ultrahand weren't required at all
3D Zelda was never good. But BotW is not bad, not as good as Wind Waker though.
OoT and MM genuinely suck. A Link Between Worlds and A Link to the Past are by far the best Zelda games.
